VALENTINO70

A 4-2-3-1 formation relying primarily on the wingbacks creating space in the middle and the attacking midfielders destroying teams through the centre. it is a very attacking tactic but also a passing posession one. It is a fluid, quick tempo direct passing tactic which creates clear cut chances and goals for the team whilst still having a strong central spine for the opposition to try and break through providing defensive stability at the back.

Gk - Sweeper Keeper - Defend

RB - Wing back - Support - Hugs touchline and overlaps the midfield. (Runs with ball often / runs down right / gets forward whenever possible)

DCR - Central Defender - Cover - Must have high aerial ability to cope with crosses / pace also useful to deal with high defensive line.

DCL - Central Defender - Stopper - Must have high aerial ability to cope with crosses / pace also useful to deal with high defensive line.

LB - Wing Back - Support - Hugs touchline and overlaps the midfield. (Runs with ball often / runs down left / gets forward whenever possible)

MCR - Ball Winning Midfielder - Defend - Sits in midfield but sprays passes around to rest of team. (tackling, marking, passing, positioning)

MCL - Ball Winning Midfielder - Defend - Sits in midfield but sprays passes around to rest of team. (tackling, marking, passing, positioning)

AMC - Advanced Playmaker - Attack - teams creative influence providing through balls and chances. (passing, creativity, flair, driibling) - KEY PLAYER!

AMC - Trequartista - Attack - links the midfield to attack and plays as the second striker behind the poacher. - KEY PLAYER!

AMC - Advanced Playmaker - Attack - teams creative influence providing through balls and chances. (passing, creativity, flair, driibling) - KEY PLAYER!

STC - Poacher - Attack - Scores the goals. Pace, finishing, dribbling, off the ball. (Beats offside trap/ rounds keeper) - KEY PLAYER!

Touchline Instructions - I use all 3and very important to use!!!

#Play out of defence - will retain posession.

#Play through the defence - will ensure the team provides through balls to the poacher.

#Look for Overlap - will ensure the wingbacks overlap the attacking midfielders.

What this tactic does and more info...

# I use control at home and standard mentality away from home - VERY IMPORTANT! - train the team to learn both.

# Set Pieces set up including a man on each post which will stop many goals.

# Creates clear cut chances from out wide and through balls in centre.

# Scores goals and does not concede many too.

# Without gd fullbacks, attacking midfielders and poacher this tactic will NOT work.

# Long shots all set to rarely.

# A posession tactic - provides high% posession stats and shots.

# Do not expect to win every game - this is football lol.

IMPORTANT DISCLAIMER...

# May just work on the FM13 BETA "update" for now.

Thats all for now unless I add anything I find out later, please feel free to download and give feedback. The unregistered link is the second one...

Sorry not going to register for a file that's a few kb big.

Try wikisend.com instead, no need to register for uploader or downloader and can host files up to 100 mb, so enough for tactics.

You don't need to register for that one?

Will give this a shot this afternoon.

Your other tactic worked very well with my Sunderland save.

I joined them after Martin O`neil got the ass and left them in 19th after 18 games. I managed to get them up to 8th in the end.

In the second season i finished a mind boggling 3rd!! with a near default Sunderland side with 2-3 loaned players on my books also.

Seasons like yours stated here and mine with everton make me worry that FM13 is too easy. I think most ppl wud agree that Sunderland with a few minor changes wud never finish 3rd in the premier league.... im worried...

baring in mid that i was made to work for almost EVERY league game though. I only had 1 or 2, 5-0 wins vs lower sides a with a lot of 2-1 or 1-0 wins.

Team talks are again very inportant and if you get them wrong, then good luck!

It was probably my most enjoyable season in a very long time due to most games being close, and the last league game of the season just topped it off.

I was at home, versus Tottenham(5th) with both of us vying for a champions league spot in which i only needed a draw to qualify. I was getting smashed all over the park but managed to grab the equalizer...in the 3rd and last minute of added time to get the 2-2 draw .....talk about nerve wracking!!

It`s going to be a very very tough up coming season now i am in the Champions League. I have only been given $7m in transfer funds and my first team squad is only 21....this is what FM is all about :)

Its not really a clean sheet tactic. The defence shud tighten up over time but it may require better centre backs than u currently have - my everton defence was baines, astori, jagielka, johnson - all top quality defenders...

Romeo do you have any screenshots of your everton save in which you used this tactic?

Played the tactic for a few games now and it's starting to look really good.

Even though I don't have the right players for the tactic.

Bale has to play left AMC for example and my only real BWM atm is Fletcher.

Are you using the tactic the same way the author has suggested? Using the shouts, and the two different strategies??

Yes.

Problem is atm I can't find a goal.

Producing a lot of chances but no way to score because the opposition teams just clumps up in their 6 yard box and I can't get through it.

Or better to say I beat the other top teams quite comfortably but then heavily struggle against lower half teams and relegation candidates.

It gives u a good chance - ive just played dortmund in euro cup QF with everton and despite losing both legs I should have crucified them at home. Before that id won every game in europe including away win at napoli...

How is it against better opponents? Like lower ranked league top teams against big teams in CL-qualification games.

I use defending set pieces on match prep the day b4 a game and mainly attacking during the week because my defence had been generally solid. If i was wooried about my defence tho, I wud generally rotate the training categories or leave it on balanced....

What match prep and general training are you using?
