GoTeamGo
I downloaded the FM12 demo on steam, opened it up and played it, and since I saw nowhere within the actual FM12 game to buy it, I went back to the steam store and searched for FM12 again and hit the buy button there. Instead of authenticating what I already downloaded, it is starting a new download to redownload the whole game again. What do I do? How do I stop the download and just get it to use the demo I downloaded as the game?

DrIgz
Are you sure that's not the way it's supposed to be? Like, you download the proper game separately. From scratch. I can't remember.

I can't remember. No idea, but this download is EXACTLY the same size as the first, and the first (the demo) was a huge download, like it seemed to contain the full game. DrIgz
Hmm, good point. I don't know. I always get the demo but then, I can't remember what I do for the full game...but for some reason I seemed to think I just download from scratch. If you don't have a download limit, it's no big deal I guess. If you do, wait for someone whose memory is a bit better than mine:)

I'm just depressed right now and wanted to play it right away, but having to download from scratch is taking hours. Anyway, now that Im downloading from scratch, the game I started while playing the demo... will that work on the full game? Im assuming yes if I put the game file into the new games folder. But the more important question is, on the demo I had to use the default "england" quick load database which used a "small database" and only had england, so a lot of players were missing. I would like to load my game from where I was because I had already offered my players to clubs and done a lot of the busy work, however I want to play that game on a large database and maybe add spain or something... in the past, you could not change the database after the game had started, as in FM10, that wasn't allowed. However, I thought maybe i read something about that being changed in FM12? Is that correct? If so, how do I do it?
FrazT
The demo and the full game are separate downloads. The demo will be considerably smaller than the full game. Save games from the demo are compatible with the full game but you are stuck with the small databaase only.
