tijs
Sorry if this has been answered elsewhere but I have searched to no avail... 1) Is the amount of team training a fixed amount? Or... 2) Does moving toward more/less match practice have an effect on how much time a player spends team training? 3) I have quite a number of players who are at a 'very heavy' training level, and so knock down their individual training to 'light', so that they are working at a 'heavy' level. Are these indicators purely for that individual or is my team training having a knock on effect? 4) Does having a rest day before AND after a match make any difference to their individual workload or is the training indicator a measure of intensity? For example, if they have more rest are they just likely to be fresher but still work at a very heavy or heavy intensity during their remaining training sessions? jdrawmer
Why we can't have a simple slider for each individual is beyond me. If I want to train somebody's skills as a winger, and make him more familiar with being a winger why does that automatically mean he is doing very heavy training? Why can't I tell him to even it out so it's still medium or heavy?
mhaffy
I used to avoid my overall player training level being heavy, with most players one click back from heavy. Finding it very difficult to understand and set players overall workload. Seem to have to keep fiddling with individual and overall team levels. Like others I miss sliders and ability to do fine tuning. Is there any way of viewing all overall training level of squad without having to go to each player separately. This is exactly the problems I am having, its very hard to know how much they are doing overall and what workloads actually are!
llama3
Overall squad workload is at the bottom right hand corner of your training screen - for each individual you need to check individuals page, or the player's training report.
lemeures
yeah, makes no sense really to have everyone on same work load I get some on medium and some on heavy, even without any other training on (i turn them all off for first 3 weeks of season), so what, my coaches can decide to make them unhappy but i cant? then they tell me to lower there work load and i cant without lowering everyone elses?? Marvolo
General training and match training are team wide, increasing time on one decreases time on the other with regards to the slider. More match training - less general training. Less match training - more general training. General training is more intense than match training so the slider on less match training will increase the teams workload. The match training slider is separate to to the general training intensity. So increasing the intensity while decreasing general training time will keep the workload the same. Any training set as individual training will be in addition to the match/general training. Focus, new position and preferred move are all added on top the training. So none set - less workload. Focus set, more intense. Focus and new position - even more workload. Focus, new position and preferred move - massive workload. The heavy/very heavy etc. indicator shows each players total training workload. Each player has a different workload depending on both the training done as a team and the additional training given. Rest days don't seem to change the training intensity on the individual screen, though it does alter the team screen overall workload. No idea on the moral changes, though it will help their condition.
mhaffy
Presumably, like previous versions of FM, the match preparation benefits are "temporary" for next game, with general training providing longer term benefits to players attributes. Getting workload levels "right" seems key. Although the overall workload (presumably applying to all players) is indicated in bottom right hand corner of team screen reflecting general training/intensity and match preparation slider settings is shown, it would be really useful if the training screen for your squad actually showed each players overall workload as well as focus, intensity and performance. Very surprised that this cannot be incorporated. Hopefully SI will consider adding this.

Agreed, I spent some time looking for this screen expecting it to be there, SI are usually on the money with these things.
