PC specialist?

Have you already ordered?!!

Don't go for amd cpu's ... not worth it right now.... stick with intel.

twice as good cpu and very decent for the price.

The cpu on your spec is definitely a bit of a bottle neck... you have a top class GPU card with a little bit substandard CPU imo, it's on par with a cheap i7 and frankly, the good i5's will run rings around it....

But you'll get 15-20 leagues, 100k players out of it.

Fair enough.. it's a matter of opinion really anyway...

Your cpu in particular scores pretty high on the Bang for Buck scale but is damn low on basic performance, as I said, i5's will outperform it day in day out on games etc for the same money.

But yeah, you'll still run a sizable database, and if you don't mind a little bit of slowdown, you'll run even more.. AMD's aren't great with FM in particular I hear.

I'd looked into ordering from PC Specialist. All the guys on their forum recommended AMD chips to me because my budget was much the same as yours. I ended up going for an overclocked Intel from overclockers. I'm sure yours will be pretty good in any case.

That's a scarily similar system to what I have recently bought. Difference is my GFX card isn't as good and only a 1gb model. And mine came with 16gb RAM (I know there is 'no point' in that much but that's what it came with I didn't ask for it :D) I was worried that it still might not run FM 'ok' but upto now I can load around 15 Nations with all the leagues and 80-100k players as somebody pointed out and it runs just fine.

I did try it with 25 nations and all the leagues running.. it ran well but for MY liking a little too slow so I kept with 15. Saying that with the add/remove leagues feature seeming to be working now it's not so much of an issue

haha! where did you order yours from & how much?

I'd be more then happy with 15, so long as its nice and smooth that's the main thing, nothing wore then long load times like I had on my XPS M1550.
