Walcott\'s Wonderkids
In case you missed them first time round, here are the Kyrgyzstan home kit and away kit Monday 3rd July – Kyrgyzstan Press Conference Mark Lawrenson: Good morning everyone and thank you for coming today. This is my first official press conference since I signed to become manager of this nation and I would just like to say how please I am to be here (said without the slightest hint of the typical Lawro sarcasm). The main reason you have gathered here today is for me to announce my backroom staff and to announce what I see for the future of Kyrgyzstan. Firstly, as you can see from the gentlemen sitting either side of me, I would like to announce that on a part-time basis I will have Alan Hansen as my assistant manager and Ian Wright as one of my coaches. As some of you may know they were fellow pundits of mine back in the UK and with their vast knowledge of the game and experience at the international arena I am sure they will help do this nation proud. Secondly, I would like to announce that over the past month since I have been devising a plan for this nation and I will believe that the future is in the youth of today. Therefore, using a fast-track initiative I am today announcing the names of 16 individuals who I believe that with the right guidance can lead Kyrgyzstan to greatness. The cynics amongst you may notice that most of these players have dual nationality status, but I can assure you that all of these kids are firmly committed to this country and will do anything they can to help its football team prosper. I will release details of these players at the end of this press briefing. Any questions anybody? Domestic Press: Hi Alan, we hear on the grapevine that you once said that you can never win anything with kids – so do you honestly believe that this country can win anything with a bunch of teenagers? Alan: Welllllllll, I think you have to get down to the fundamentals, as long as you have a strong backbone to the team with a rock-solid defence then you always have the possibility to do things and of course these kids will grow in stature over time. With me as their defensive coach I back this nation to do well. Garth Crookes, BBC Sport: Hi Ian, errr ummm what made you choose… in a roundabout way never getting to the point of the question…. to become a coach here? Ian: Well Garth, lets be frank – this country is c**p at football, in comparison to England I have absolutely no interest in being here as I will now struggle to continue my one-man campaign to get SWP back into the England squad, but they are playing me a megaload of dosh, so as they say fella, every cloud. After a 5 second period of mutterings amongst the gathered press contingent…. Mark Lawrenson: Riiight, well swiftly moving on. I believe that ends our press conference Ladies and Gents, so I will now announce the shortlist of development players I have selected… Goalkeepers Elfdog Zuvzonamin Lui Defenders Davo Habib Halali Professor Frink Jacariah Birkinaldo Ryan Midfielders George Robson Benj Sam Taphouse El Loco Bartinho Salman Al-Dahash Strikers Bill Alan Azeryk Freealdinho

Walcott\'s Wonderkids
And the Turkmenistan ]home kit and http://i141.photobucket.com/albums/r74/peth999/Commentators%20Curse/TurkmenistanAwayKit.jpg[/img]]away kit 5th July 2006 – Turkmenistan Press Conference 10am, David Pleat: Good evening everybody, nice of you to pop along and join us. As you may have heard, recent developments from the Kyrgyzstan FA have been debated over by myself and the Turkmenistan FA and I please to announce today, my own backroom squad and 16 men development squad. I will be joined in Turkmenistan by Andy Townsend and Robbie Earle, who have vast tactical knowledge of the game and are very used to being on the sidelines observing and making comments, admittedly at half-time around a stupid looking table, but nonetheless I am sure they have the capabilities to help this country. What this country (won’t fail) fails to do is show commitment to the cause and 110% effort. (Spot the typical Pleat blunder) Any questions? Press: Andy and Robbie, there are rumours that you may be bringing the ‘tactics truck’* out of retirement to help this glorious nation of Turkmenistan succeed – is this true? Andy: Umm, I can’t really see that happening to be honest, though I’m sure we could if the public wanted us to. Press on chorus: NO!! (NB:*The tactics truck for anyone who doesn’t know, what meant to be a post match analysis tool used for Premiership highlights about 5 years ago, which got scrapped after about 2 shows as it was as warmly received as a fart in a crowded lift.)
