Taunton
10-0. Thats a lot, even against Nepal. Who is Turkmenistan playing next?
Walcott\'s Wonderkids
Yeah 10-0 is a lot - Azeryk now has an outstanding national record of 8 goals from 4 games. This ignores his U23s performances of 5 goals from 4 appearances!! As Turkmenistan didn't have to play in the 1st round, their next 1st team fixtures will be 2nd round group fixtures which will comprise of 6 games starting in February 2008. Both U23 teams have 6 games in the period February-May 2008, so plenty of int fixtures coming up for both teams in 2008.

Walcott\'s Wonderkids
Nepal (0) v (10) Kyrgyzstan Weds 5th Dec: World Cup 2010 Asian Qualifying 1st Round 2nd Leg Pre Match After Professor Frink is laid low with food poisoning for a few days, only 7 of the superkids start the 2nd leg, Elfdog, Halali + Freealdinho again on the bench. The captain is a non-superkid. My Opinion: Barring the greatest turnaround ever in the history of world football, Kyrgyzstan will qualify for the next round. I would imagine around 3 or 4 for Kyrgyzstan as they usually take the 2nd leg easy after a big 1st leg win. 6 minutes in and a deep cross from the right wing picks out Azeryk who calm as you like puts the ball in the net. 0-1. Bill and Benj both shoot narrowly over in the next 5 minutes. Bartinho is forced off after 18 minutes through injury. Gosh, Nepal win some corners. From one, they even force Lui to make a save! However, service is resumed as normal come the end of the half. Passing the ball round calmly, Azeryk feeds the ball back to Benj who pops the ball into the top left hand corner of the goal from 25 yards. HT: Nepal 0 v 2 Kyrgyzstan Half Time Stats A quiet second half. On 72 minutes, Ryan + Bill are subbed off and replaced by Halali + Freealdinho. FT: Nepal 0 v 2 Kyrgyzstan Match Overview Player Stats The game was a lot poorer than the 1st leg, but there was no real need for Kyrgyzstan to play attacking football, they were just getting the job done. MOM again goes to Azeryk for his goal and assist. Kyrgyzstan win 12-0 on agg. and qualify for the 2nd qualifying round
Walcott\'s Wonderkids
Player Cam Match Report Sat 8th Dec: Livorno (6th) v Brescia (22nd) - league match After missing the last 2 games due to Kyrgyzstani commitments, Ryan starts the game at right back for Livorno. Not a good start for Livorno, they concede a headed goal in the 2nd minute from a corner. 0-1. In a game they should win, they fall further behind after just 6 minutes, a well timed tackle from a Livorno centre back unfortunately goes straight into the path of a Brescia player who has plenty of time to stroke it home. 0-2. Ryan prevents it becoming 0-3 as he is first to react to the GK's parried save, hooking it upfield. The closest Livorno come to scoring in the first half was a header over the bar from a corner. HT: Livorno 0 v 2 Brescia Half Time Stats Livorno go 3 down after 57 minutes after a penalty is giving for a push in the penalty area. FT: Livorno 0 v 3 Brescia Full Time Livorno Stats After a game like that its hard to see how Livorno were in 6th place and Brescia were bottom of the league before this game?! At least Ryan was one of the few Livorno players to play reasonably well, making 10 interceptions during the game.
Walcott\'s Wonderkids
Week ending Sunday 9th December 2007 De Santiago is out for 2 weeks with a broken hand. Sevilla obviously felt that Freddie Kanoute could offer more to Alan, so is tutoring him for a 2nd time! Despite his season ending injury, Birkinaldo still has interest in him, with Arsenal now also wanting him (along with Everton, Man Utd and Stoke). World Cup 2010 2nd Qualifying Round Groups Fixtures will be held between Frebruary and November 2008, playing each team home and away. Top team qualifys for the 3rd round group stage.
Group 5 Group 7 Kyrgyzstan (118th) Turkmenistan (130th) China (37th) Hong Kong (137th) North Korea (114th) Saudi Arabia (26th) Vietnam (133rd) U.A.E. (94th) *Figures indicate team's world rankings as described in Nov 2007 list.
As a guide, Nepal are ranked 169th in the world in the Nov 2007 rankings. Both teams have a chance of qualifying, I would say the games against China and Saudi Arabia will be the crunch ones as the other 2 nations should be 6 points each. I would say Saudi Arabia are harder than China and so for that I would say Kyrgyzstan have the slightly easier group. Hopefully there won't be any clashes over call ups with the U23 Olympic Qualifiers, so that both teams have as good a chance as possible of qualifying in both tournaments. Walcott\'s Wonderkids
Player Cam Match Report Weds 12th Dec: Livorno (7th) v (13th) Genoa - league match Ryan starts at right back for Livorno. 4-4-2 formation. Livorno have the first chance of the game, a header over the bar after 3 minutes. Livorno go into halftime after dominating the 1st half, yet neither team having had a shot on target yet. HT: Livorno 0 v 0 Genoa 52nd minute and Livorno win a penalty. Up steps... Ryan!! However, the right back dispatches the penalty with ease. 1-0 Livorno. (Looking at his stats I then realise he has a rating of 20 for penalties, apologies for the previous consternation). 3 minutes later and a cross from the right is converted to double Livorno's advantage. 3 minutes later (not a typo) and Genoa have a goal back via the penalty spot. After 64 minutes Geno go down to 10 men after their man is sent off for a second yellow card. 76 minutes gone and Livorno make sure of victory after a nice turn by their striker before placing it in teh top corner of the goal. FT: Livorno 3 v 1 Genoa Match Stats Full Time Player Stats Good game for Ryan, a goal and a win.
Walcott\'s Wonderkids
Player Cam Match Report Sat 15th Dec: Albinoleffe (18th) v (5th) Livorno - league match Ryan starts for Livorno is his last match of player cam, due to Italy's forthcoming xmas break. Albinoleffe have the better of the first 20 minutes, with Livorno only offering a shot on the run over the bar. Livorno take the lead after 26 minutes, a great cross from the left is headed in by Fabbiani. HT: Albinoleffe 0 v 1 Livorno Half Time Stats After 70 minutes, Livorno change to a 3-5-2 formation, with Ryan being the left centre back. A very quiet 2nd half comes to an end. FT: Albinoleffe 0 v 1 Livorno Full Time Livorno Stats A solid game for Ryan, another 7.

Walcott\'s Wonderkids
Tuesday 1st January 2008 Thought I would give an extra mid-week update as its New Years Day and awards have been collected! Didier Drogba has won the World Footballer of the Year Award. David Platt has been appointed the new boss of Norwich. Azeryk has rejected the offer of a new contract from Middlesbrough, wanting a bigger bonus for apps in the 1st team. Habib Halali has only 6 months left on his contract at Canterbuty Utd in New Zealand. He has been offered a new contract with them, but Charlton have suddenly appeared as wanting him as well. Libertinho has signed for Swedish Premier League side Hacken and has stated that he can't wait to test himself on the bigger stage. The main reason for this mid-week announcement is because on the 1st January each year, the Asian Manager, Player and Young Player of the year awards are made. Unfortunately none of our players or managers won the player or manager awards, but for the young player award: Selim Atas has been crowned Asian Young Player of the Year 2007. 1st. Selim Atas 2nd. Azeryk 3rd. Pablo Gonzalez Following this news, I felt it was only right that Player Cam for January will follow Atas.
Walcott\'s Wonderkids
Week ending Sunday 6th January 2008 Lui has turned down the latest offer of a contract with Qingdao. Norwich have made an offer to extend the loan of Davo for a further 3 months, which has been accepted. George Robson has become the 1st player to be subject to 'co-ownership'. About 10 Serie A teams offered to co-own him with Vicenza, with all the offers around £700k. In the end Inter Milan won out and he is under a co-ownership contract until June 2009, although both clubs have a contract with the player until June 2010. He will stay at Vicenza during the co-ownership period. Maldinov, on loan at Pescara until the end of the year, has extended his contract with Fiorentina until June 2012. Spartak Moscow become the next team to offer Sepp Blatter a job, which again he politely declines. Apologies as it is very late, but the World Rankings update for December:
Kyrgyzstan 107th Up 11 places Turkmenistan 135th Down 5 places
Up next, player cam match report... Osasuna have a freekick well saved after 19 minutes. After 26 minutes Osasuna take the lead. Osasuna continue the pressure for the rest of the half, with the Athletico keeper making up for his error on a few occasions. Athletico have yet to have a shot as the half time whistle is blown. Canterbury's manager has however said that his player is not for sale and has change his status to now 'the club does not wish to sell this player'. Azeryk is wanted by Liverpool and West Ham. Gonzalez now has Sergio Garcia, his previous tutor, listed under favoured personel. He also picked up a new PPM from him, he now has 'places shots', 'moves into channels' and 'likes to beat the offside trap'. Atas is now regarded as a 'wonderkid', the 1st person to be regarded as such. It is also interesting to note that Halali, Freealdinho, Benj, Lui, Ryan, Davo + Prof Frink has Azeryk listed under favoured personel (someone has a few admirers then ). Azeryk does not have anyone listed under favoured personel. After Sepp Blatter turned down Spartak Moscow, the club then offered Kyrgyzstan player scout Gary Lineker a job as their manager. Walcott\'s Wonderkids
Week ending Sunday 27th January 2008 Halali may not be at Canterbury Utd much longer as he has rejected a new contract with them, citing the basic wage offer was unacceptable. Tottenham are now also interested in him (Charlton's interest remains). Bill is reportedly attracting the attention of Calgari and transfer speculation that he may be moving in a £2.2m deal. Belenenses however have come out and laughed this off, stating that he will remain with them for the forseeable future. Sam Taphouse has signed a new deal with Man City, keeping him at the club until June 2012. Livorno have sold 50% of their contract with Ryan to Juventus for £1.1m. He will stay at Livorno until June 2009 when both clubs will have to submit offers for him. 2 days later and Bayern Munich cheekily offered both Livorno and Juventus £725k for their stakes in Ryan, which has been rejected by Juventus (who probably didn't agree with the notion of their stake in Ryan being worth 300k less than what it was 2 days previous). Ali Obeid has signed a new deal with West Ham until June 2012. Stelios has signed a new deal with Middlesbrough until June 2012. Calgari are interested in Turkus Mendieta. Sunderland have made an offer to extend their loan of Koppers for a further 2 months. Fabiov Maldinov has torned his groin muscle and will be out for 1-3 months. Alvaro De Santiago is out for a month with a fractured wrist. With both Turkmenistan superkid keepers injured, it means that their fixtures in late February may take on a different complexion. Player Cam for February will focus on... George Robson at Vicenza.

Vicenza up in the league and a co-ownership deal with Inter! Haven't got a clue what it means though...

From what I understand, you stay at Vicenza until June 2009, then at the end of that period both team make an offer or the remaining 50% of the contract and the team who offers the most takes control of the player.

Thanks for pointing that out. Also, I'm featured in the player cam \o/ now to make sure I don't embarass myself...
