Taunton
According to norwegian wikipedia, the former dictator of Turkmenistan wrote the national anthem. There he wrote a part that says that everyone that disappoint or brings dishonour to Turkmenistan should lose their arms Just to build up pressure before the forthcoming internationals Yoy should really check out this former dictator of Turkmenistan(died 2006) He was a v e r y strange man. TeeWee
Wages are known, and now the total earnings as well. Here's the table:
£261.000 Samaras Taraldo £212.250 Freealdinho £169.000 Alvaro De Santiago £166.850 Professor Frink £140.600 George Robson £113.150 Zuvzonamin Lui £103.400 Jacariah Birkinaldo £88.930 Ryan £88.400 Humphrey Koppers £88.150 Fabiov Maldinov £86.250 Ghoolbi Dumats £85.800 Roberto Rossini £78.000 Pablo Gonzalez £74.750 Abullah Mohammed Ali Obeid £74.200 Salman Al-Dahash £73.450 Sam Taphouse £72.150 Stelios £68.250 Davo £66.300 Turkus Mendieta £65.000 Alan £63.700 Ulfinus Chaoconov £62.400 Selim Atas £62.400 Benj £62.400 Bill £59.800 Azeryk £59.280 Tomaldinho £57.200 Hermandinho £48.700 Luke Swinson £30.820 Libertinho £29.300 El Loco Bartinho £23.920 Elfdog £8.840 Habib Halali
Things of note in the standings: It's not good to have your name end in "inho". With the notable exception of Freealdinho, they're all in the bottom end of the charts. More seriously, Freealdinho's made a leap in the charts to second place. Behind the top two is a gap. There's also one player who hasn't earned ten grand yet: Habib Halali. Maybe Samaras Taraldo could buy the man a root beer or something for comfort. A small success for me personally and the Turkmeni collectively: we're still ahead on average of the Kyrgyzstan players:
Kyrgyzstan £84.546 Turkmenistan £86.994
To finish this off, surprisingly, the strikers are on average the second lowest earners, though they do leave the midfielders some distance behind them. Walcott\'s Wonderkids
Player Cam Match Report Fri 1st Feb: Vicenza (8th) v (14th) Triestina - league match George Robson starts the match in one of the two centre mid spots in a 4-2-3-1 formation. In the 2nd minute of the game, Vicenza's keeper doesn't clear a back pass quick enough and a Triestina striker pounces, tackles him and scores. Robson puts in a good cross from the left, but the Vicenza striker heads into the side netting. HT: Vicenza 0 v 1 Triestina Half Time Stats Vicenza players feel aggrieved that a penalty isn't given for them after 62 minutes. Robson is subbed after 80 minutes, with Vicenza changing to a 4-2-4 formation. Vicenza throw caution to the wind in the last few minutes, but as they didn't record a single shot on target throughout the whole game, they can't be surprised to have lost the game. Walcott\'s Wonderkids
Player Cam Match Report Fri 8th Feb: Verona (17th) v (9th) Vicenza - league match Robson starts as one of the 2 def mids in a defensive 4-4-2 formation. Verona take the lead after just 3 minutes, their striker nipping in ahead of the Vicenza defender to slot home a cross from the left. Both keepers are forced to make fine sprawling saves within the 1st 20 minutes. HT: Verona 1 v 0 Vicenza Half Time Stats Verona should have made it 2-0 after 57 minutes, their striker rounding the keeper and then hitting the side netting. Verona's keeper makes a nice diving save to the right to tip a header around the post. Robson is subbed after 78 minutes. Within a minute of the substitution, Vicenza equalise - a good throughball and Vicenza's striker slots the ball into the left hand corner of the goal. Walcott\'s Wonderkids
Player Cam Match Report Sat 16th Feb: Vicenza (9th) v (13th) Genoa - league match Robson starts the game on the subs bench. Vicenza take the lead when Giancarlo broke free on the left, but instead of shooting he unselfishly passed the ball across to the penalty area to the unmarked Fini who was left with a simple tap in. HT: Vicenza 1 v 0 Genoa Genoa go down to 10 men after 50 minutes for a terrible tackle by their left back. Giancarlo hits the bar for Vicenza on the hour mark. Giancarlo scores for Vicenza with a close range shot after 68 minutes. Vicenza make their 3rd and final sub and Robson is not coming onto the pitch today. Vicenza score a 3rd in the dying minutes. Walcott\'s Wonderkids
Week ending Sunday 17th February 2008 Stuart Pearce has been sacked by Man City. International Call Ups: Both Kyrgyzstan and Turkmenistan have their 1st group stage match in their World Cup 2010 quest on the 20th Feb. China v Kyrgyzstan Turkmenistan v Hong Kong Kyrgyzstan - For probably their toughest game of this group stage, Mark Lawrenson calls up 13 superkids, Elfdog, Bill + Birkinaldo all injured. The first two of those three should be fit for the U23s game a week later. Turkmenistan - David Pleat calls up 13 of the superkids, De Santiago, Maldinov + Rossini are all injured. This means that Turkmneistan will not have a superkid-keeper at their disposal.
Walcott\'s Wonderkids
Turkmenistan v Hong Kong Weds 20th Feb: World Cup 2010 2nd Qual Round - group stage Pre Match Line Up 10 of the superkids start this game, only the GK spot being filled by a non-superkid. Ali Obeid, Dumats + Stelios are all on the subs bench. Captain and Key Man is Luke Swinson. My Opinion Turkmenistan should be too strong for Hong Kong, a very comfortable win. Atas hits the side netting after 14 minutes. Turkmenistan almost take the lead after 28 minutes through a bullet header from 20 yards, by a Hong Kong defender! Chaoconov picks up a knock with about 5 minutes of the half to go, but continues on. HT: Turkmenistan 0 v 0 Hong Kong Half Time Stats Despite the domination, Turkmenistan haven't really had a clear cut chance yet. Gonzalez is subbed off at half time and replaced with a non-superkid. Tomaldinho has his shot cleared off the line after 50 minutes. 52 minutes gone, Swinson swings in a corner from the left and Libertinho jumps powerfully at the far post to head the ball in and score his first ever goal for Turkmenistan. 1-0. Well that wasn't part of the script, 55 minutes gone and Hong Kong equalise with one hell of a strike from 25 yards, keeper had no chance. 1-1. 65 minutes gone and a cross from deep by Swinson picks out the outfield non-superkid who heads the ball in. 2-1. Atas makes sure of victory for Turkmenistan, taking the ball round the keeper before finishing from a tight angle. 3-1. Dumats replaces Taraldo straight after the 3rd goal goes in. Chaoconov hobbles off after 81 minutes. FT: Turkmenistan 3 v 1 Hong Kong Match Overview Player Stats It was looking dodgy for an hour, but Turkmenistan's quality came through in the end and got them off to a good start in the group. MOM was given to Libertinho, but for me personally Swinson deserves the MOM award for his 2 crucial assists.

Walcott\'s Wonderkids
China v Kyrgyzstan Weds 20th Feb: World Cup 2010 2nd Qual Round - group stage Pre Match Line up 9 of the superkids start the game, but with Prof Frink picking up an injury just before the game, it means that neither of the centrebacks are superkids. Alan, Al-Dahash + Halali are on the bench. Key Man and Captain is Davo. My Opinion The toughest game of the group for Kyrgyzstan and the highest ranking opposition they've faced in the last 18 months. I think China may sneak a win here, if Kyrgyzstan pick up anything then they will have to regarded as favourites for the group. Azeryk has a shot tipped round the post after just 6 minutes, positive start by Kyrgyzstan. From a freekick deep in Kyrgyzstan's own half, Lui pumps the ball upfield where the man mountain that is Freealdinho flicks the ball on to Azeryk who finishes well into the bottom left hand corner. 0-1, 19 minutes gone. Fabulous save by the Chinese keeper after Azeryk had been put through on goal. China equalise after 36 minutes, Lui slightly out of position after an interception by one of the 2 non-superkids and the Chinese striker is left with an easy chance. 1-1. Kyrgyzstan retake the lead just minutes later, Bartinho was in miles of space on the right after a corner was cleared and slid the ball pass the Chinese keeper at his near post. 1-2. Freealdinho is then subbed as Mark Lawrenson decides to change the team into its favoured defensive 4-2-1-2-1 formation. HT: China 1 v 2 Kyrgyzstan Half Time Stats A good performance by Kyrgyzstan so far, keep this up and it will be a crucial win for them. Robson heads just over the bar from a corner after 51 minutes. Lui saves a freekick from 20 yards after 58 minutes. 61 minutes gone and Bartinho feeds goal machine Azeryk on the left and he slides the ball under the keeper. 1-3. Al-Dahash replaces El Loco Bartinho after 73 minutes. China get a goal back with 12 minutes to go after good work down the right flank. 2-3. Halali is then brought on for one of the non-superkids to shore up the back line. With 4 minutes to go, Azeryk sprays a ball out right to Taphouse who initially looks like he may shoot, but instead hits the ball across the 6 yard box, looking for Al-Dahash at the far post. However, Sun Jihai slides in to intercept the ball but this only results in him scoring an own goal. 2-4. China hit the crossbar and the side netting in injury time, but its too little too late. FT: China 2 v 4 Kyrgyzstan Match Overview Player Stats MOM goes to Azeryk for his 2 goals. Fantastic game and a great result for Kyrgyzstan.

Weds 27th February Olympic Games Qualifiers
Kyrgyzstan U23s v South Korea U23s Turkmenistan U23s v Saudi Arabia U23s
Kyrgyzstan - 13 of the superkids have been called up, no place for the injured Birkinaldo + Prof Frink. Azeryk picked up a late injury so Kyrgyzstan will be missing their goal machine striker. Saudi Arabia - 13 of the superkids are also called up, but neither of the keepers have recovered in time. Walcott\'s Wonderkids
Kyrgyzstan U23s v South Korea U23s Weds 27th Feb: Olympic Games 2008 Asian Qualifying 3rd Round Group Stage Pre Match 9 of the superkids start the game, with Alan + Al-Dahash on the bench. Elfdog + Freealdinho are not included in the match squad (Freealdinho is jaded at the moment, which may explain why). Capatain is Habib Halali, who starts at centre back. My Opinion South Korea U23s won't be anywhere near as tough as South Korea's main team, so I predict a Kyrgyzstan victory. 13 minutes gone and Ryan puts in a low cross to the near post, Bill reacts the quickest and fires in the first goal. 1-0. Bill receives treatment on the sidelines after picking up a knock. Benj adds another spectacular goal to his collection, this time volleying in a shot from the edge of the area after a poor headed clearance by South Korea. 2-0. Alan replaces Bill after 30 minutes and takes over the role of captain. HT: Kyrgyzstan U23s 2 v 0 South Korea U23s Half Time Stats Halali picks up a yellow card on the hour mark. Al-Dahash replaces Bartinho in the 62nd minute. Robson is subbed after 73 minutes. Lui makes a couple of tip overs as South Korea start to press. 2nd minute of injury time and Alan goes for an ambitious 25 yard dink over the keeper. Falls narrowly wide of the left post. FT: Kyrgyzstan U23s 2 v 0 South Korea U23s Match Overview Player Stats The commentator said that he couldn't believe South Korea lost this, not quite sure which match he was watching?! South Korea did dominate possession in the 2nd half, but at no stage did they really threaten Lui much. MOM was awarded to Lui, but I am going to give it to Benj for his good allround performance in midfield.

Walcott\'s Wonderkids
Turkmenistan U23s v Saudi Arabia U23s Weds 27th Feb: Olympic Games 2008 Asian Qualifying 3rd Round Group Stage Pre Match 9 of the Turkmenistan superkids start, with the remaining 4 all on the subs bench (Stelios, Ali Obeid, Swinson + Taraldo). A couple of questionable decisions there by David Pleat, I would have though Taraldo and Swinson would have been starting, but at least this gives a chance to a couple of the other superkids. Captain is Selim Atas. My Opinion Like with the Kyrgyzstan game, Saudi Arabia U23s shouldn't be anywhere near as good as their 1st team. The big doubt is over the Turkmenistan keeper. Think this could be a high scoring game as a result, with Turkmenistan edging it. Oh dear! 14 minutes in and whilst Saudi Arabia had had the better of the start they hadn't had a decent shot on goal yet. Then, the ball went down the left wing, the ball got passed across to one of the Saudi strikers who hit the shot straight at the Turkmenistani keeper, yet the ball went straight through him. 0-1, not a good omen. Crucial tackle by Mendieta prevents Saudi Arabia having a clear shot on goal. 39th minute and Saudi Arabia double their advantage with a 30 yard ping. Keeper could have done better again though as it appeared to go right over the top of him. 0-2. Credit to the non-superkid goalie though, he pulls off a good save just before half time to prevent it becoming three nil. HT: Turkmenistan U23s 0 v 2 Saudi Arabia U23s Half Time Stats Turkmenistan are going to have to become a more attacking threat in the 2nd half than they were in the 1st half. Swinson replaces Rossini at half time and takes over as captain. In the first minute a lovely sweeping move results in a cross from the right by Swinson, that Gonzalez narrowly heads over. Much better. Gonzalez then sees a cross turn shot narrowly go wide, then 5 minutes later Libertinho hits a shot over the bar. Its interesting to note that as early as the 62nd minute the commentator is noticing that the Saudi Arabian keeper is taking his time over the goal kicks. 66th minute, penalty to Turkmenistan for an obstruction on Libertinho. Up steps Koppers, who blasts the ball over the bar! Chaoconov is subbed after 72 minutes. 8 minutes to go and Gonzalez puts the ball in the net, but it is ruled out for a foul by him. Atas smacks a shot wide in injury time. FT: Turkmenistan U23s 0 v 2 Saudi Arabia U23s Match Overview Player Stats Not all the blame can go on the non-superkid goalie, after all Turkmenistan only had 2 shots on target from 14 shots in total. A blow for Turkmenistan's dream of reaching the Olympic Games, but there are still plenty of matches to play in the group. They probably need to beat Saudi Arabia away now though to stand a chance of finishing top.

Walcott\'s Wonderkids
Uzbekistan U23s v Kyrgyzstan U23s Weds 12th Mar: Olympic Games 2008 Asian Qualifying 3rd Round Group Stage Pre Match Line Up 10 of the superkids start, with Alan, Al-Dahash + Halali on the bench. Elfdog does not make the match day squad. Captain is Davo. My Opinion As they are not as comfortable away from home, a tight game but Kyrgyzstan to sneak it. Both teams have efforts over the bar in the 1st 20 minutes. Ryan has a freekick after 22 mintues that whistles over the bar. It's that man again - Azeryk scores for Kyrgyzstan from a tight angle after being put through by Robson. 0-1. Kyrgyzstan then switch to their 4-2-1-2-1 formation, with Azeryk up front and Bill on the left wing. 32 minutes gone, Azeryk picks up the ball just inside his own half half, dribbles forward, shimmys past a couple of men before slotting home into the corner of the net. 0-2. HT: Uzbekistan U23s 0 v 2 Kyrgyzstan U23s Half Time Stats Bill is subbed at half time. Halali comes on. Uzbekistan get right back in the game just 4 minutes into the 2nd half, with a cracking freekick from 20 yards. Al-Dahash replaces Bartinho after 65 minutes. Ryan scores a freekick with 13 minutes to go, though the huge deflection that sent it from going in one corner to the other played a part in it. 1-3. FT: Uzbekistan U23s 1 v 3 Kyrgyzstan U23s Match Overview Player Stats MOM again goes to Azeryk for another cracking performance.
Walcott\'s Wonderkids
Iraq U23s v Turkmenistan U23s Weds 12th Mar: Olympic Games 2008 Asian Qualifying 3rd Round Group Stage Pre Match 10 of the superkids start the match, but David Pleat has made a huge clanger - De Santiago only makes the subs bench so Turkmenistan have their dodgy keeper still in goal. Swinson, Dumats + Stelios are also on the subs bench. Captain is Samaras Taraldo. My Opinion Despite having a dodgy keeper, Iraq are nowhere near as good as Saudi Arabia. Must win game for Turkmenistan and they will. Mix up in the Iraq penalty area and Gonzalez is there to pounce and score. 6 minutes gone, 0-1. Libertinho + Ali Obeid in turn hit long distance shots that narrowly miss. Mendieta hits a clearance upfield, which goes straight to Gonzalez, who takes it forward and slots the ball pasted the keeper for his 2nd of the game. 0-2. Rossini chips a ball into the feet of Atas, who 25 yards out half volleys the ball into the corner of the net. 0-3, great strike. HT: Iraq U23s 0 v 3 Turkmenistan U23s Half Time Stats Ahead and comfortable. Goal difference is important now. 56 minutes gone and Taraldo plays a ball over the top. Gonzalez latches onto it, takes it round the keeper and slots home his hattrick goal. 0-4. 64 mintues gone and Rossini crosses the ball in from the right and Gonzalez heads home his 4th goal of the game. 0-5. Ali Obeid is then subbed off. Chaoconov takes a freekick which hits the post. 15 minutes to go and Rossini + Libertinho are subbed. On comes Swinson who takes over the captain's armband. Hermandinho thunders a header against the crossbar in injury time. FT: Iraq U23s 0 v 5 Turkmenistan U23s Match Overview Player Stats MOM goes to Pablo Gonzalez for his 4 goals. A much needed win for Turkmenistan.

Walcott\'s Wonderkids
Qatar U23s v Turkmenistan U23s Weds 19th Mar: Olympic Games 2008 Asian Qualifying 3rd Round Group Stage Pre Match Line Up Cor blimey govenor, David Pleat has suddenly seen sense - 11 superkids start the game away to Qatar. Swinson + Stelios are on the subs bench. The 3 superkids not included are either injured or have just got back from injury. Samaras Taraldo is captain. My Opinion 11 superkids = 1 conclusion: A comprehensive dispatching of Qatar U23s. Qatar's keeper makes 2 great saves in the 1st 5 minutes. Taraldo is shown a yellow card after just 8 minutes. Just when I thought Qatar's keeper was going to have one of those days when he saves everything, Rossini plays a lovely ball into the feet of Atas who takes the ball on and lifts the ball into the top corner from the right side of the area. 0-1, 23 minutes in. 1 minute later and the floodgates may have just opened. Atas slots home his second after a ball over the top from Libertinho. 0-2. Qatar though have other ideas, snatching one back after half an hour after Mendieta failed to intercept a ball. 1-2. Atas completes a quickfire hattrick after being fed through by Gonzalez. 1-3. HT: Qatar U23s 1 v 3 Turkmenistan U23s Half Time Stats Quite the action packed half of football. 57 minutes gone and Qatar are awarded a penalty after Hermandinho hacks down one of their strikers in the penalty area. He receives a yellow card for that. De Santiago - cometh the hour, cometh the man, saves the penalty and saves his teammate's blushes. Atas narrowly misses out on his 4th goal after pulling a shot wide. Gonzalez is subbed after 62 minutes. Qatar are reduced to 10 men after one of them kicks out at a non-superkid. As a result, Rossini + Libertinho are subbed, with Swinson coming on, taking the captain's armband again. Qatar, despite being a man down grab a second goal with 15 minutes to go. 2-3. They then go to 3-2-4 formation as they see a possibility of getting a draw. Ali Obeid puts pay to that though with 6 minutes to go, scoring a counter attack goal. 2-4. Just to make sure, with 4 mintues to go Swinson swings in a freekick from the left and a non-superkid heads home. 2-5. In the last minute of normal time, Ali Obeid passes across the 6 yard box to set up Atas for a simple finish and his 4th goal. 2-6. FT: Qatar U23s 2 v 6 Turkmenistan U23s Match Overview Player Stats The final score may be a tad harsh on Qatar, who until the last 10 minutes had looked like they may even have got something out of the game. MOM has to go to Atas for his 4 goals, although a mention for Ali Obeid for his strong 2nd half display.
Walcott\'s Wonderkids
U.A.E. U23s v Kyrgyzstan U23s Weds 19th Mar: Olympic Games 2008 Asian Qualifying 3rd Round Group Stage Pre Match 10 of the superkids start the match, with Davo as captain again. Halali, Alan + Al-Dahash are on the subs bench. My Opinion Despite being away from home, this should be straightforward for Kyrgyzstan. LOL, 36 seconds in and that man Azeryk taps in from a mini goalmouth scramble. 0-1. Bill leaps like a salmon and powers a header in after 7 minutes. I had though that it was going to the back post but then I hadn't reckoned on Bill being so athletic. 0-2. Taphouse receives a yellow card after 19 minutes. Weak shot by Taphouse when he should have crossed. U.A.E. slowly come back into the game, but Lui comfortably deals with anything they throw at Kyrgyzstan. HT: U.A.E. U23s 0 v 2 Kyrgyzstan U23s Half Time Stats Bill is one of 2 subs made at half time. On comes Halali. A long throw by Taphouse find Bartinho, who spins and finishes. 0-3, 57 minutes gone. Usual substitution of Al-Dahash on for Bartinho. In injury time, Azeryk on the counter attack gets his 2nd of the game, in off the post. 0-3. FT: U.A.E. U23s 0 v 4 Kyrgyzstan U23s Match Overview Player Stats Comfortable win, MOM going to Bartinho for his goal and assists.
