As teams who are tied on points are initially separate by results between the 2 teams, it means that assuming Saudi Arabia pick up 6 points against Qatar and Iraq, that Turkmenistan are going to have to go to Saudi Arabia and win by at least 2 clear goals. Australia have pretty much sown up Group C.

Walcott\'s Wonderkids
Week ending Sunday 30th March 2008 Azeryk is now listed as a 'wonderkid', the 2nd player after Atas to become labelled as such. Prof Frink is wanted by Portsmouth. Alan is wanted by Real Madrid. Stelios has completed his loan period at Millwall and has returned to Middlebrough. Loan Stats: 14(3) apps, 6 goals, 1 MOM, 2 yellows and an Av Rat of 7.24. Koppers has completed his loan period at Sunderland and has returned to Chelsea. Loan Stats: 30 apps, 1 goal, 2 assists, 5 yellows and an Av Rat of 6.80. With around just over a month to go in most domestic Championships I have looked through them all and the only clubs that are involved in Title Race / Prom / Reg issues are: Anderlecht (Chaoconov) are leaders in the Belgium league by some distance. English Premier League - Chelsea 4th and out of title race, Middlesbrough 6th, Man City 10th and Everton 13th but save from relegation. Crystal Palace (Prof Frink) are in the playoffs in 5th place in the Championship with 4 games to go. 3 points off automatic prom. Swansea (Freealdinho) are currently 2nd in League One, 3 points behind top spot and 11 ahead of 3rd place. All the Italian Serie B sides that have players at them are in lower midtable but with no chance of getting relegated. Serie A, AC Milan lead Lazio by 1 point with 8 games still to go. Manisaspor (Bartinho) are 14th/18th with 10 games to go. All the La Liga clubs in Spain are all around midtable.

Walcott\'s Wonderkids
Krgyzstan v North Korea Weds 2nd Apr: World Cup 2010 2nd Qual Round - group stage Pre Match 10 superkids start the match, with a further 4 on the bench (Elfdog, Halali, Alan + Al-Dahash). Key man is El Loco Bartinho and captain is the one non-siperkid starting. My Opinion The TV commentator suggests a N Korea win (altogether now - hahahahaha), Kyrgyzstan don't lose at home, especially to the likes of N Korea. 5 minutes and after a 2nd curling shot in as many minutes by Robson, the parried save by the keeper is followed up by Taphouse who scores his 1st goal for his country. 1-0. Azeryk fouls a N Korean about 30 yards out, the freekick gets a wicked deflection but narrowly goes the wrong side of the post. Azeryk hits the post after 14 minutes. Prof Frink picks up an injury after 23 minutes and is subbed. Robson + Davo both have shots that narrowly miss the target. HT: Kyrgyzstan 1 v 0 North Korea Half Time Stats Nice one two between Freealdinho + Azeryk in the opening moments of the 2nd half, resulting in the latter shooting and hitting the post for the 2nd time this game. Alan replaces Freealdinho just after the hour mark and takes over as captain. Bartinho subbed for Al-Dahash after 75 minutes. North Korea go down to 10 men for a shove on Benj. Azeryk has a close range shot well saved by the keeper with 8 minutes to go. Lovely one two between Alan + Azeryk with the latter setting up the former to power a shot passed the keeper. 2-0, game over. FT: Kyrgyzstan 2 v 0 North Korea Match Overview Player Stats Probably should have been more comprehensive but a win is a win. MOM goes to George Robson for a fine all round performance. Walcott\'s Wonderkids
Turkmenistan v U.A.E. Weds 2nd Apr: World Cup 2010 2nd Qual Round - group stage Pre Match 11 superkids start the game, with Koppers as the key man and Taraldo as captain. Maldinov, Stelios, Dumats + Swinson are on the bench. The exclusion of Ali Obeid prevents all 16 superkids being in the match day squad for the 1st time. My Opinion A sizeable win for Turkmenistan. 3 minutes in and Gonzalez taps into an empty net after the keeper made a mess of collecting a cross. Atas fires a shot over the bar when it looked easier to score. Hermandinho picks up a knock but carries on in the short term. Atas tries to squeeze the ball into an empty net from a tight angle but misses. U.A.E. are down to 10 men after a professional foul on Gonzalez, just as he was about to go into the area. Lovely ball into the feet of Gonzalez by Taraldo from deep. Gonzalez tucks it away. 2-0. Gonzalez has a couple of chances for the hattrick but both go over the bar. Tomaldinho picks up a knock but carries on. HT: Turkmenistan 2 v 0 U.A.E. Half Time Tad harsh by David Pleat - he subs of Gonzalez at half time, therby preventing him getting a hattrick. Swinson comes on for Rossini after 66 minutes. Stelios comes on for Atas after 76 minutes. Koppers forces a good save from the U.A.E. keeper, diving low to his left. Turkmenistan get a 3rd in injury time, Taraldo crossing in for a non-superkid to tap home. FT: Turkmenistan 3 v 0 U.A.E. Match overview Player Stats MOM goes to Mendieta who quietly went about his business in defence and was an absolute man mountain in the air.

Both contesting the same group for World Cup and Olympic progression. In this World Cup Qual Group though they still have to play each other home and away, which will be the crucial games. Kyrgyzstan, having already beaten the 2 teams on 3 points in their group, look like Qual for the 3rd Round.
Walcott\'s Wonderkids
Week ending Sunday 6th April 2008 Benj has his recent club form criticised by his boss at Mallorca (6-7-8-6-5), to which Benj is in agreement. Maldinov is praised by a rival manager (boss of Bari). Maldinov snubs the praise. Bill has the flu and will miss the next week. Hermandinho picked up a gashed arm in the game against U.A.E. and will be out for a few more days. Tomaldinho, who also picked up a knock in that game, is out for a week with a bruised head. Chelsea are shown as having an interest in Luke Swinson.

Walcott\'s Wonderkids
South Korea U23s v Kyrgyzstan U23s Weds 9th Apr: Olympic Games 2008 Asian Qualifying 3rd Round Group Stage Pre Match Only 7 superkids start this game, with a further 5 on the bench (Elfdog, Halali, Al-Dahash, Alan + Davo), the captain is one of the non-superkids. Slightly worryingly, only 1 of the 4 defenders is a superkid (Ryan). My Opinion The lack of superkids could hinder them, so I think a draw between the 2 sides. Lui has to make 2 good saves in the 1st 5 minutes to stop an attacking S Korea from scoring. 19 mintues gone and Azeryk nicks the ball off a S Korea defender on the halfway line, sprints towards their goal, calmly rounds the keeper and finishes with Kyrgyzstan's 1st shot at goal in the game. 0-1. 31 minutes gone and one of the non-superkids sprays a fabulous ball out to Taphouse who is in miles on space. As he runs towards goal the keeper rushes out to meet him, so unselfishly he passes the ball across to Azeryk who taps into an open goal from 20 yards. 0-2. Lui stays strong in goal for the rest of the half. HT: South Korea U23s 0 v 2 Kyrgyzstan U23s Half Time Stats Halali comes on at half time to replace one of the non-superkids as Kyrgyzstan change to a 4-2-1-2-1 formation. S Korea pull one back after 53 minutes, a glancing header from a freekick. 1-2. Benj picks up a yellow card and Davo comes on to replace one of the non-superkids. Every single game, so predictable: 75 minutes gone, Al-Dahash replaces Bartinho. 4 minutes to go and Kyrgyzstan seal victory. Benj, who had just picked up a knock, glances in a cross from Al-Dahash. 1-3. FT: South Korea U23s 1 v 3 Kyrgyzstan U23s Match Overview Player Stats The result may be a tad harsh on South Korea, but Kyrgyzstan won't mind at all. MOM was awarded to Azeryk, but I feel that Benj is more deserving of it for his all round performance.
Walcott\'s Wonderkids
Saudi Arabia U23s v Turkmenistan U23s Weds 9th Apr: Olympic Games 2008 Asian Qualifying 3rd Round Group Stage Pre Match 9 of the superkids start this crunch game, with Swinson + Maldinov being restored to the starting line up at the expense of De Santiago + Chaoconov who are on the subs bench, along with Stelios + Dumats. The captain is Swinson My Opinion Ignoring the importance of The Stanlies Cup, this is probably the most important game for Turkmenistan (U23s at least) since the beginning of their quest for global footballing dominance. To move ahead of Saudi Arabia in the table, they have to win by at least 2 clear goals. It will be tough as the Saudis have gone for a defensive 4-5-1 formation from the start. I think Turkmenistan to win, the margin I don't know. Gonzalez heads into the side netting after 3 minutes. Saudi Arabia hit the outside of the post after 6 minutes. Disaster, Saudi Arabia counter attack - Maldinov saves the 1st shot but there's nothing he can do other than watch a Saudi player tap the ball past the defender on the line to make it 1-0 after 21 minutes. Atas fries a shot wide of the right post after 25 minutes. Counter attack by Turkmenistan, but both Gonzalez + Atas fail in turn to shoot past the keeper. Mendieta in his efforts to clear the ball, almost hits it into his own net. Atas shoots wide again in injury time. HT: Saudi Arabia U23s 1 v 0 Turkmenistan U23s Half Time Stats It is going to have to be some turnaround to stop Saudi Arabia from qualifying for the Olympics. 2 minutes into the 2nd half and Gonzalez latches onto a ball over the top but hits his shot over the bar. Libertinho picks up a yellow card. It was almost allover - Saudi Arabia head in a cross from the left, but it is ruled out for offside. Ali Obeid is subbed after an hour. Oh dear - Rossini goes in very late on a Saudi and gets sent off! 15 minutes to go and David Pleat decides to have one last throw of the dice making a double substitution and changing to a 3-4-2 formation. On comes Stelios + Chaoconov, with Gonzalez and a non-superkid coming off. The change is almost genius like. Stelios crosses the ball within a minute of coming on and Atas heads it home. It is ruled out for offside though. Turkmenistan change to a 3-2-4 formation. FT: Saudi Arabia U23s 1 v 0 Turkmenistan U23s Match Overview Player Stats The dream of the Olympics is over for Turkmenistan as 2 defeats against Saudi Arabia mean that even if they catch them on points, their better head to head record would send them through. Turkmenistan will have to pick themselves up now, as the 2008 Stanlies Cup is only just over a month away and there is still the 2010 World Cup to qualify for. Robson + Birkinaldo are injured and Taphouse is suspended after picking up 2 yellow cards in previous games. Captain is a non-superkid. 1 point in this game and Kyrgyzstan are going to the Olympics 2008. My Opinion Kyrgyzstan U23s to win and qualify for the Olympic Games. 9th minute, freekick 20 yards out - up steps Ryan and curls it in the corner. 1-0, Beijing here we come!! 24th minute, Bill has a go from distance and the keeper can only flap at it and punches it straight out into the feet of Azeryk who can finish those in his sleep. 2-0. One of the non-superkids and Azeryk play a one two three and Azeryk is in the clear and slots it home. 3-0. Bartinho is time wasting near the corner flag with a minute till the interval remaining - its not even half time fella!!!! HT: Kyrgyzstan U23s 3 v 0 Uzbekistan U23s Half Time I think you can start booking your plane tickets lads, your off to the Olympics. Ryan is given a yellow card after 55 minutes. Double sub after 62 minutes, Alan + Al-Dahash on for Bill and a non-superkid. Welcome to the game, Al-Dahash is booked within 2 minutes of his arrival. Azeryk scores an offside goal after 70 minutes. I've seen it happen several times that a player signs a new contract with his club, and gets transferred anyway a month later.
Walcott\'s Wonderkids
Turkmenistan U23s v Iraq U23s Weds 23rd Apr: Olympic Games 2008 Asian Qualifying 3rd Round Group Stage Pre Match 10 superkids start the game, with Maldinov, Ali Obeid + Stelios on the bench. Luke Swinson is captain. My Opinion Its a dead rubber basically, but Turkmenistan should be able to beat Iraq and konock a few past them in the process. 39 seconds in and a cross by the left back finds Swinson at the back post who angles the ball into the net. 1-0, great start. 8 minutes gone and Hermandinho plays a ball over the top. Atas + Gonzalez play a probably needless one two in their 6 yard box, but it still results in Atas tapping home. 2-0. Swinson puts a cross in to the box and Gonzalez is there to header home. 3-0. Within 30 seconds of kick off, a ball over the top is latched onto by Gonzalez who places the shot in the corner of the net. 4-0, 16 minutes gone! 22 minutes gone and the Iragi goalie brings down Gonzalez in the area. Up steps Mendieta who balsts the ball straight down the middle - good job the keeper decided to move then! 5-0. Gonzalez puts the ball in the net with just 5 minutes of the half to go, but is denied his hattrick as he was offside. HT: Turkmenistan U23s 5 v 0 Iraq U23s Half Time Stats Atas clean through, blasts over the bar. Cross by Chaoconov on the left and Gonzalez hits a superb looping header back across goal, very nice finish for his hattrick. 6-0. Another great cross by Chaoconov to Gonzalez, who this time takes the ball with his feet, controls it then slides it into the back of the net for his 4th of the game. 7-0. Libertinho is then subbed. Ali Obeid comes on for Tomaldinho after 83 minutes. FT: Turkmenistan U23s 7 v 0 Iraq U23s Match Overview Player Stats Great win, just a pity it doesn't really count for much. MOM goes to Gonzalez for his 4 goal display.
CoachFlu
Nice win indeed. I do hope someone from Anderlecht is following my assist-rich international career, so I can start doing the same in the Belgian First Division.

Blackcats
Another 4 goals for the under 23's for me (just a shame it doesnt matter), shame these stats dont get recorded in the game otherwise mine would be quite impressive. Also just a quick question but whats my current situation at Zaragoza? ie am i plaing or not?
Walcott\'s Wonderkids
Week ending Sunday 27th April 2008 Zuvzonamin Lui has broken a finger and will be out for 1-2 months ( thats my player). The ironic positive from this is that Elfdog now be able to make his debut for Kyrgyzstan!! Sevilla boss Ronald Koeman has criticised Turkus Mendieta for his recent poor form. Mendieta felt that was a bit harsh. Habib Halali - Much to my surprise, Canterbury Utd do actually have some visible games. They are currently taking part in the Oceanic Club Championship (equivalent of the European Champs League for Oceania). They won their group with 3 out of 3 wins so are through to the semi finals, but unfortunately Halali got himself sent off in the last group game so is suspended for the Semis:
Auckland City (NZL) v Ba (Fiji) Canterbury Utd (NZL) v AS Venus (Tahiti)
Player Cam is back for May and it will focus on... Olympic Games U23s Stats - Whilst your appearances for you country in these games do not officially count, there is a stats screenie that I will produce to show you how many games you have played for your country in this Qual tournament. I will do this after your last Qual game in May. Unfortunately, only the people called up to the U23s squad for the last game will able to get their stats. I will however, also post the Qualifying tournaments goalscoring and Av Rat screenies. I can tell you currently that in throughout the whole of the Olympic Qualifiers the top scorers are currently:
1=. Selim Atas 13 1=. Azeryk 13 3. Walcott\'s Wonderkids
Week ending Sunday 4th May 2008 Champions League Semi Finals Despite losing the 2nd leg 1-0, Chelsea progress into the final after a 3-2 agg win against Arsenal. The interesting news is that Koppers was in Chelsea's match day squad for the 1st time since his return from his loan spell. Although an unused sub, it means there is a chance Koppers could play in the Champions League Final! Valencia beat HSV 2-0 on agg, 1-0 in each leg to also make the final.
Champions League Final 2008 Chelsea v Valencia
UEFA Cup Semi Finals AC Milan beat Anderlecht 2-1 at home in the 2nd leg to progress to the final after a 0-0 1st leg. Chaoconov was not in the match day squad. Aston Villa and Everton drew 0-0 in the 2nd leg, so Everton progress 3-0 on agg to make the final. Walcott\'s Wonderkids
Player Cam Match Report Sun 4th May: Villareal (8th) v (10th) Real Betis - league match De Santiago starts the match for Villareal. Beits have the better of the opening half hour, but all their shots go wide. De Santiago makes a great close range save from a Betis header. Villareal take the lead just before half time, Riquelme tapping in after a mini goalmouth scramble. HT: Villareal 1 v 0 Betis Half Time Stats De Santiago looks assured early in the 2nd half, collecting corners and coming quickly off his line. De Santiago saves brilliantly from a cross, tipping over a header. He follows that up a couple of minutes later with a good one-on-one save. Villareal go down to 10 men with 15 minutes to go after Dani hacks down their forward right on the edge of the area. De Santiago flings himself to the right to stop a deflected shot from creeping inside the post. Disaster, with 2 minutes to go Betis get an equaliser (probably deserved on the flow of play though) with a close range effort. FT: Villareal 1 v 1 Betis Full Time Stats De Santiago finishes with an 8 rating, the highest for a Villareal player in the game. Good game for the keeper.
