Walcott\'s Wonderkids
Player Cam Match Report Sat 18th Oct: Everton (10th) v (15th) West Ham - League Match Benj starts in centre mid for Everton. Davo starts for West Ham at right back. Well, thats quite the start. Everton KO, ball is played out to the left then back into Benj. He picks out Vaughan on the edge of the area, who spins and then slots the ball passed the keeper. 1-0, 15 seconds gone. Everton clear a corner to Wright-Phillips, who runs down the right and crosses the ball for Kikin Fonseca to hit home. 2-0, 4 minutes gone. Knight lumps a freekick from the left to the back post where Wright-Phillips can take a touch before firing home. 3-0, 28 minutes gone. West Ham pull one back after 39 minutes, Vuoso scoring. 3-1. HT: Everton 3 v 1 West Ham Half Time Stats Unbelievably, there has only been 5 shots in the whole game - yet 4 goals!! Benj is subbed after 52 minutes. West Ham have a great chance to make it 3-2, but Vuoso slides it wide. McFadden heads home with 7 minutes to go to make sure. 4-1. FT: Everton 4 v 1 West Ham Full Time Stats A 7 for Benj and an assist, just a shame he didn't last longer on the pitch. Davo got a 6 rating.

Walcott\'s Wonderkids
Player Cam Match Report Sat 24th Oct: West Brom (8th) v (5th) Everton - League Match Despite picking up a dead leg in midweek training and still recovering, Benj starts in centre mid today. 13 minutes gone and Benj swings in a corner from the left. McFadden rises at the near post to head home. 0-1. Both teams have half chances in the next 20 minutes. Figueroa equalises with a minute of the half to go, slotting home a one-on-one. Apparently Benj is to blame for a poor pass, but I'm dubious. 1-1. HT: West Brom 1 v 1 Everton Half Time Stats Benj is subbed on the hourmark. West Brom probably have the best chances of the 2nd half, but nothing that troubled Howard too much. As the commentator said, a poor 2nd half. Walcott\'s Wonderkids
Player Cam Match Report Weds 29th Oct: Wigan (10th) v (5th) Everton - League Match Benj starts his last game of player cam in centre mid. A quiet opening half hour is woken slightly when O'Neil rattles the woodwork with a freekick from 20 yards. Wigan have a freekick of their own but it goes straight to Howard in goal. HT: Wigan 0 v 0 Everton Half Time Stats Interesting point to note is that Benj appears to be the more defensively minded out of the 2 centre mids in his partnership with O'Neil. Quite common to see him bomb forward, before checking his run when he realises what he is doing. Benj is subbed off after 52 minutes for Diarra (the mini-Makelele currently at Chelsea irl). Absolutely unbelievable - just when I was about to write that this was the first ever half of football on FM where I haven't actually seen any key highlights, Everton attack down the left and in the 3rd minute of injury time at the end of the game Vaughan pops up with a header to finish off the cross from the left. 0-1. FT: Wigan 0 v 1 Everton Full Time Stats This game deserved to finish 0-0 as it was completely uneventful until injury time! Benj gets a 7 for his efforts. There will be no player cam in November as both countries have 3 internationals which would reduce the opportunities for me to watch you. International fixtures for Nov 2008:
Turkmenistan Sat 8th: v Thailand - friendly (away) Weds 12th: v Greece - friendly (away) Weds 19th: v Hong Kong - World Cup 2010 Qual (away) Kyrgyzstan Sat 8th: v Poland - friendly (away) Weds 12th: v Jordan - friendly (away) Weds 19th: v Vietnam - World Cup 2010 Qual (home)
CoachFlu
Hmm, Chaoconov's 5(3) appearances for Anderlecht so far is a definite improvement over the previous seasons. Doesn't look like he's playing particularly well though. On the bright side, with a 5.75 AvgR, the future looks promising (as it can hardly get worse). Kutgw. Walcott\'s Wonderkids
Week ending Sunday 2nd November 2008 Freealdinho has had his recent form labelled 'acceptable' by his boss at Swansea. Freeladinho reacts with bemusement, saying that he thought his recent form had been unacceptable (9-7-6-6-9) - obviously has high standards of himself. More Freealdinho news - Chelsea are now interested in him and he is now 'considering his options'. Portsmouth are interested in Professor Frink. Azeryk has broken his toe, he is currently receiving specialist treatment on it. Out for around 2 months. News of interest for Azeryk + Marcus Cook: Gareth Southgate has been sacked as manager of Middlesbrough. Tomaldinho now has Vagner Love listed under his favoured personel at Lazio. Selim Atas has Ikechukwu Uche, a Nigerian and fellow Athletico striker. Pablo Gonzalez has Ruud Van Nistelrooy listed under his favoured personel. We have our 3rd Wonderkid! It is Alvaro De Santiago at Inter - just a shame that Inter are not playing him!

Walcott\'s Wonderkids
Poland (56th) v (88th) Kyrgyzstan Sat 8th Nov: Friendly Pre Match 10 superkids start, with the only non-superkid starting in centre mid. Elfdog, Halali, Bartinho + Freealdinho are on the bench. Azeryk is injured and Benj non-appearance is a mystery. Alan is captain and Sam Taphouse is the Key Man. My Opinion Poland are a fairly decent side and are at home, so I think a draw is on the cards. Will certainly be an interesting test as to how far the team has progressed. With the first clear cut chance of the half, Bill finds Alan who collects the ball after 13 minutes and fires the ball into the net. 0-1. Al-Dahash smashes the ball over the bar after 16 minutes. Al-Dahash fires wide after 24 minutes. With their 1st shot on target, Poland equalise. A corner to the back post is headed in. 1-1. HT: Poland 1 v 1 Kyrgyzstan Half Time Stats Cor blimey - Alan isn't subbed off at half time! The non-superkid is though, with Halali coming on. Bill finds Alan again, but this time his shot is tipped over the bar. Triple substitution on the hour mark. Off goes Al-Dahash, Bill + Alan and the replacements include Bartinho + Freealdinho. Davo makes a vital clearance after Birkinaldo lets the ball go past him. After 71 minutes, Prof Frink + Davo are subbed. On comes 2 non-superkids. Lui saves well from a close range volley. Freealdinho + Taphouse play a long range one-two, ending with Freealdinho having his header tipped over. Lui dives full stretch to save a long range shot in the final minute of the game. However, from the resultant corner, Poland bundle the ball into the net. 2-1. FT: Poland 2 v 1 Kyrgyzstan Match overview Player Stats Poland did dominate the 2nd half for chances, though the last minute goal was harsh on Kyrgyzstan. MOM goes to Alan, who was a threat when on the pitch.
Walcott\'s Wonderkids
Thailand (92nd) v (90th) Turkmenistan Sat 8th Nov: Friendly Pre Match 11 superkids start for Turkmenistan. De Santiago, Chaoconov + Dumats are on the bench. Marcus Cook is injured and Atas, like Benj for Kyrgyzstan is left out - perhaps they were both withdrawn by their clubs?! Captain is Swinson and Key Man is Taraldo. My Opinion On paper a very even game, but Turkmenistan should be looking to win against opposition of this calibre. Turkmenistan victory, especially with the starting line up. Hermandinho is fortunate that his poor clearance comes to nothing. Gonzalez tests the keeper a couple of times in the first 20 minutes, both times the keeper saves well. 3rd time lucky though, Swinson whacks the ball upfield from near his own penalty area. Gonzalez runs onto the ball and this time makes sure the keeper isn't saving it, smacking the ball into the top corner. 22 minutes gone, 0-1. Gonzalez then dribbles passed a couple of defenders before being foiled by the keeper yet again. HT: Thailand 0 v 1 Turkmenistan Half Time Stats 53rd minute and Rossini clears the ball down the left wing. Gonzalez picks the ball up and crosses for Ali Obeid who finishes at the near post. 0-2. Chaoconov replaces Rossini. Thailand go down to 10 men after 65 minutes, for a professional foul on Swinson after he had cut inside and gone on a mazy dribble. Koppers is replaced by Dumats. From the resultant freekick, Tomaldinho scores, although the deflection off the wall is huge and it just pee-rolls across the goaline. 0-3. After 75 minutes, Libertinho + Gonzalez are subbed. After 83 minutes, Mendieta is subbed. FT: Thailand 0 v 3 Turkmenistan Match Overview Player Stats MOM goes to Gonzalez for his great 1st half performance. Good win for Turkmenistan. Walcott\'s Wonderkids
Greece (46th) v (90th) Turkmenistan Weds 12th Nov: Friendly Pre Match Identical line-up to the game against Thailand, with 11 superkids starting and Chaoconov, De Santiago + Dumats on the bench. Captain is Swinson and Key Man is Taraldo. My Opinion After the Poland Kyrgyzstan game a few days earlier, I think Greece may be just too strong for Turkmenistan - especially away from home. A poor pass by a Greek midfielder sends Gonzalez through on goal, but he hits the side netting. Gonzalez fires across goal after 22 minutes. Very canny. Taraldo played a sweeping 40 yard ball ahead of Gonzalez, who decides this time to go over the top, but cannily using his head on the bouncing ball to knock it over the Greek keeper and into the net from about 15 yards. 0-1. Maldinov produces a top draw save diving to his right, pushing the ball round the post for a corner. Maldinov is again called into action 3 minutes later, pushing a header over the bar. From the corner Swinson heads clear and runs after the ball, dribbling all the way into the Greek penalty area, before teeing up Koppers who fired with power straight at the keeper. HT: Greece 0 v 1 Turkmenistan Half Time Stats Swinson is replaced by Dumats during halftime. Taraldo takes over as captain. Turkmenistan move to a 3-3-2-1-1. After a quiet start to the 2nd half, Greece rifle in an equaliser, Kafes scoring crossbar and in from within the penalty area. 1-1, 60 minutes gone. The goal also marks substitutions, with Rossini + Ali Obeid being replaced. Gonzalez has a couple of very ambitious efforts from long range that don't trouble the keeper. Tomaldinho + Gonzalez are subbed after 73 minutes. Taraldo is subbed aftre 80 minutes. Greece have a powerful long shot just over the bar with a couple of minutes to go. Greece almost nick it at the end, a poor backpass by a non-superkid is not fully capitalised on by Greece. FT: Greece 1 v 1 Turkmenistan Match Overview Player Stats A fair result I think and Turkmenistan will be happy as it will do their world ranking no trouble at all. MOM goes to Rossini. Walcott\'s Wonderkids
Jordan (82nd) v (88th) Kyrgyzstan Weds 12th Nov: Friendly Pre Match The same 10 superkids start the game as they did at the weekend. Alan is the Captain and the Key Man is Sam Taphouse. On the bench is Elfdog, Halali, Freealdinho + Bartinho. My Opinion Jordan are not as good as Poland, so I think Kyrgyzstan should be able to win this one. Despite dominating the first 10 minutes, with Alan + Bill both testing the keeper, it is actually Jordan who take the lead with a header from a freekick out on the left. 1-0. 14 minutes gone and this game gets even more bizarre, Jordan doubling their lead via a deflected shot off Birkinaldo from the edge of the area. 2-0. Ryan hits the crossbar with a freekick. 31 minutes gone and Ryan gets to the byline before crossing in for Alan at the near post to head home. 2-1. Davo finds Bill with a ball over the top. Bill decides to put an innocent enough cross into the box, before it gets a wicked deflection off a defender and beats the Jordan keeper at his near post. It goes down as an own goal though. 2-2, 37 minutes gone. HT: Jordan 2 v 2 Kyrgyzstan Half Time Stats An entertaining half and Kyrgyzstan didn't deserve to go in behind. Note to Taphouse, no idea why your rating is so low, the stats don't show anything and I don't recall anything. Halali comes on at halftime for the non-superkid. Al-Dahash + Bill pick yellow cards in the first 10 minutes of the 2nd half. Bill + Alan are subbed after 61 minutes, on comes Freealdinho. Al-Dahash has the best chance of the 2nd half so far, collecting a ball from Robson, but placing his shot just wide of the far post. Ryan + Taphouse are subbed after 72 minutes, with Bartinho coming on. Farcial defending by Jordan. A simple backpass by the Jordan centreback but the keeper fails to come for it, allowing Al-Dahash to smash home the ball from 6 yards. 2-3. FT: Jordan 2 v 3 Kyrgyzstan Match Overview Player Stats A great comeback by Kyrgyzstan. MOM for Salman Al-Dahash. The World Cup 2010 Quals to come later tonight. Walcott\'s Wonderkids
Week ending Sunday 16th November 2008 Alvaro De Santiago has picked up a strained wrist and will be out for upto a week. Ghoolbi Dumats has a bruised shin and will be out for a few days. These 2 along with Marcus Cook have not been included in the Turkmenistan squad to face Hong Kong on Weds. This means that Selim Atas has been recalled. Kyrgyzstan have called up 14 superkids for their game against Vietnam. Azeryk is injured and Taphouse is suspended after picking up 2 yellows in previous qualifiers. Doncaster have asked to loan Elfdog from Watford for 3 months. Doncaster are currently 18th in League One. The World Rankings were announced this week and it has produced a definitive moment for this game, as Turkmenistan now lead Kyrgyzstan in the rankings for the 1st time:
Turkmenistan 74th Up 16 places Kyrgyzstan 84th Up 4 places

Walcott\'s Wonderkids
Kyrgyzstan v Vietnam Weds 19th Nov: World Cup 2010 Asian Qualifying 2nd Round Group Stage Pre Match Mark Lawrenson decides to fill 11 superkids in his starting line up for this big game. Captain is Alan and the Key Man is El Loco Bartinho. On the bench is Elfdog, Halali + Freealdinho. My Opinion A win is needed to finish top and qualify along with the rest of the big boys for the 3rd Qual round. A win will be achieved and by several goals. 56 seconds gone, Alan crosses for Bill to head home at the far post. 1-0. 5 minutes gone and Alan runs through the centre, feeds Bill who sends the ball pass the keeper. 2-0. 8 minutes gone and Al-Dahash crosses from the right flank. Bill glances the ball into the far post to complete an eight minute hattrick!!! 3-0. A minute later, Robson takes a pot shot from 30 yards - top left hand corner of the goal thank you very much. 4-0. 19 minutes gone and Al-Dahash takes a corner on the left. Birkinaldo thumps the ball with his head past the keeper for his 1st ever goal for Kyrgyzstan. 5-0 and Kyrgyzstan's record win is looking under threat. Ryan floats a freekick into the box and Bill rises to glance the ball into the far post. 6-0, 22 minutes gone. After such excitement early on, the rest of the half was relatively mundane. HT: Kyrgyzstan 6 v 0 Vietnam Half Time Stats Looks like China are getting knocked out of the qualification process at an early stage. A quiet 2nd half, with the first real chance coming after 65 minutes, Bill running onto a flick on, yet this time the keeper saves. Bill is substituted after 71 minutes and receives a standing ovation. On comes Freealdinho. He's been on the pitch less than 2 minutes but that means nothing. Freealdinho heads in a cross from the left wing by Alan. 7-0. Alan is then subbed off, with Halali coming on. Robson is injured and is subbed after 81 minutes. FT: Kyrgyzstan 7 v 0 Vietnam Match Overview Player Stats A great win for Kyrgyzstan and they are through to the next stage. MOM goes to Bill for his goalfest. Walcott\'s Wonderkids
Hong Kong v Turkmenistan Weds 19th Nov: World Cup 2010 Asian Qualifying 2nd Round Group Stage David Pleat also decides to field 11 superkids in his starting line-up. Captain is Luke Swinson and Key Man is Selim Atas. On the bench is Ali Obeid + Chaoconov. My Opinion Turkmenistan need a win to guarantee that Saudi Arabia doesn't pip them to the top spot. Hong Kong have yet to get a point in this stage yet, so Turkmenistan should ease to victory. 5 minutes gone and Taraldo crosses to the near post, where Atas heads home. 0-1. 13 minutes gone and a cross by Koppers on the left his headed clear, but only as far as Libertinho who 25 yards out finds the top corner of the net with his first time strike. 0-2. Several more shots fly in on goal before Atas is put through and scores a one-on-one. 0-3. Tomaldinho feeds the ball into the feet of Gonzalez, who bends the ball into the far post from the edge of the area. 0-4. Taraldo puts in a freekick and Swinson puts the ball in the net. 0-5. HT: Hong Kong 0 v 5 Turkmenistan Very easy, very comfortable and very much progressing into the next round. Just after an hour has passed, Gonzalez runs down the right wing, puts a cross into the near post for Atas who finishes to obtain his hattrick. 0-6. A poor clearance by the Hong Kong goalie puts Gonzalez in the clear, that is until a Hong Kong centre back decides to play rugby instead of football and brings him down. Hong Kong are reduced to 10 men. 2 minutes later and a lovely possession football move ends up with Atas curling home his 4th goal from the edge of the area. After 78 minutes, Atas is subbed off. With 5 minutes to go, Chaoconov replaces Rossini. With 2 minutes to go, Tomaldinho is replaced. Walcott\'s Wonderkids
Week ending Sunday 23rd November 2008 Chaoconov is out for a week with a bruised shin. George Robson broke his ankle in the game against Vietnam. He is receiving specialist treatment and will be out for 2-3 months. The Swedish and Russian Premier Leagues have finished with both Hacken and Zenith St Petersburg being involved in crucial last round of fixtures: Sweden - Premier League Hacken and Libertinho avoided relegation on the last day of the season and will remain in the top flight next season. Russia - Premier League The league screenshot only tells half the epic story, with just 2 points separating the top 4 teams and CSKA Moscow pipping Zenith St Petersburg and Dumats on Goal Difference. What makes this remarkable is the fact that the 1st differential in Russia is head to head record!! Both teams won their home game by the same margin. However, to add another twist to the story, neither of the top 2 teams won on the last day! CSKA lost at home 1-2 to 7th placed Rostov, but Petersburg could not capitalise by only drawing 1-1 away to 6th placed Sovetov on the last day of the season. Phew. Now onto the World Cup 2010, the draw has been made... World Cup 2010 Asian Qual 3rd Round Draw
Group A Group B Australia (47th) Iran (35th) Bahrain (40th) Japan (28th) Kyrgyzstan (84th) Qatar (45th) South Korea (27th) Turkmenistan (74th) *World Rankings are in the brackets.
How to qualify 1. The top 2 teams in each group automatically qualify for the World Cup. 2. If you finish 3rd in the group, you face a 2 legged play-off against the 3rd placed team in the other group. The winner of this will then face a 2 legged play-off against the winner of the Oceania Qual section (more likely or not to be New Zealand) and the winner of this tie will qualify for the World Cup. So basically, just come in the top 2 or it gets messy!!! Both Bahrain and Qatar have surprisingly high rankings so these groups look like they could even be a 4 way contest, not what I had initially presumed would be a 3 way battle. Fixtures begin February 2009 and last until August 2009, with everyone playing each other home and away.

S. Korea, Japan, Iran, and especially Australia will be very tough. I predict Australia, S. Now that would add a bit of extra bite to proceedings. Hopefully it won't come to that though.

Fleece
Conflict of interest for Habib as hes second nationality is Australian. Its not too late to play for Australia is it? PS. Why am i still in New Shitland?
wisla_krakow
Alan finally played more than 45 mins for Kyrgystan \o/\o/\o/ Looks like the manager is seeing what he can do too, 2 goals in the friendlies, put an 8 in each plus a MoM. Great win over Vietnam Alan showing his creative side pitching in with 3 assists and a rating of 9. A tough World Cup group, Bahrain are beatable, depends on how we do against Australia and South Korea that will be key to qualifying.

In fact, Halali has received a bid from an English club, but probably not the one you would ideally be hoping for. More to follow tomorrow in the weekly news update. NeoAC
I still think Bahrain and Qatar will be the whipping boys. Its possible that they got some nice competition to whale upon in the group stages. Who were in their groups, WW?

Walcott\'s Wonderkids
Week ending Sunday 7th December 2008 Halali has been granted a work permit and his move to Chesterfield in League One, England will go through on the 1st January 2009. This means that it is only my player, Lui, who is not currently in a playable league. Libertinho has rejected a contract offer from Hacken. The teams now interested in Alan is pretty much a who's who in world football: Chelsea, Liverpool, Real Madrid and Barcelona are now interested in the Sevilla player. This sudden interest has led to Alan being selected for the Sevilla 1st team and scoring 4 times in 5 apps for them - however he hasn't helped himself, he got sent off in the last league game!!
