Azeryk has also stated that his current pay deal is too low and wants a bigger wage. The Champions League 1st Knockout Round has been completed: Rhys Davies, David Frketic (both Real Madrid) and Gareth Davies (Arsenal) were all unused subs as Real Madrid won 2-0 away to Arsenal in the 2nd leg. Real Madrid win 3-1 on agg. Alan (7) scored as Liverpool drew 1-1 away to Benfica. Birkinaldo was an unused sube. Liverpool win 3-1 on agg. Samaras Taraldo (8) played the whole match and Freealdinho (6) came on as a sub as Man Utd won 3-0 at home to Anderlecht, winning 5-0 on agg. The problem for Koppers is that AC Milan play 3-5-2, so Koppers rarely gets in at centreback or left wing back, which sort of leaves him up a creek without a paddle! Hearts make a fantastic start, scoring after just 2 minutes with a close range tap in. 0-1. Rangers equalise soon though, Vittek powering a ball into the far corner of the net after 6 minutes. 1-1. What a turnaround, 9 minutes gone and Larsen breaks through the Hearts defence before knocking the ball into the top corner of the net. 2-1. 25 minutes gone and Thomson runs through the centre before slotting it past the keeper. 3-1. 38 minutes gone and Larsen receives the ball down the left. He dribbles into the area before pulling the ball back to Hunt who first time finds the back of the net. 4-1. Corner from the right for Rangers. Prof Frink powers a header at the back post, but the Hearts keeper does well to tip the ball over the bar. HT: Rangers 4 v 1 Hearts Half Time Stats Both teams hit the crossbar early on the second half. Rest of the game is fairly quiet though. Mastinho didn’t feature for Lyon. Selim Atas (7) scored and Ulfinus Chaoconov (7) also played as Athletico Madrid lost 1-2 away to PSG in the 2nd leg, and went out on away goals after a 4-4 agg scoreline. Hamilton struggle to even get out of their own half. Ironically though, it is on their first attack of the game that they concede again. He snubs the offer of a new contract with Boro and has decided to join Wigan in a transfer worth £10.5m. It will go through on 1st July 2010. Prof Frink has rejected the offer of a new 5 year deal with Rangers. He doesn’t want a contract of such length. Hermandinho is wanted by Barcelona. Gary McNeil is now only wanted by Inter and Lazio. Gary McNeil starts as one of the 3 centre mids in a 4-3-1-2 formation. Rhys Davies doesn’t make the bench. Real Madrid dominate from the start, racking up 9 shots on goal in the first 20 minutes. Gary McNeil does a great Johnny Wilkinson impression after 34 minutes and misses an absolute sitter from 6 yards out. McNeil has a couple more long distance efforts before the break. Just as it looks like it will be nil nil at the interval, Racing score with only their second shot on goal. A freekick from the left is lumped into the box and the Racing striker leaps well to head home. 1-0. With 5 games to spare, Arsenal has won the English Premier Division, their first league title in 6 seasons. Athletico Madrid have won the Spanish Cup after a 2-1 win against Real Sociedad. The Champions League Semi Final 1st Legs were played this week: Samaras Taraldo (8) played the whole match as Man Utd won 1-0 away to Sampdoria. Real Madrid 2 v 1 Liverpool – match already covered The UEFA Cup Semi Final 1st Legs were played this week: Mastinho was an unused sub as Lyon drew 0-0 with Vitesse. Walcott\'s Wonderkids Posted August 21, 2007 Author Share Posted August 21, 2007 Player Cam Match Report Weds 28th Apr: Liverpool (1) v (2) Real Madrid – Champions League Semi Final 2nd Leg Annoyingly none of the Real Madrid superkids make the match day squad. Alan + Birkinaldo are on the bench for Liverpool. Kuyt plays the ball to Torres who fires low and gives Liverpool the lead after 13 minutes. 1-0. Real Madrid equalise 5 minutes later, Van Nistelrooy crossing from the left for Higuain to tap home. 1-1. Liverpool control the rest of the half, but no more goals are scored. HT: Liverpool 1 (2) v (3) 1 Real Madrid Brilliant save by Casillas after 53 minutes to deny Kuyt. Casillas then pulls off a fingertip save to deny Torres. Alan comes on for Kuyt with 3 minutes remaining. Within a minute of coming on Alan has 2 shots to send the tie into extra time. Both times Casillas pulls off miracle saves. Xabi Alonso then has a shot from the edge of the area saved by Casillas. FT: Liverpool 1 (2) v (3) 1 Real Madrid Full Time Stats Liverpool bombarded the Real Madrid goal in the 2nd half but could not find a way past Casillas. So Real Madrid progress 3-2 on agg.
