Not much new to add here, bar the Alan Sugar achievement. I reckon I'll do three more years here at Barca - this season I'm going for 'The Pretentious' and possibly 'The Arsene Wenger', if I get a good enough offer for an average enough player. I'm also busy scouting a lot of Greek youngsters to try to fulfil the 'Solve the Recession' achievement. None of the YPs are really captain material yet, and I don't feel capable of abandoning Fejzic, Dierickx, Olivari, Aliotta et al. just yet - the single nationality team will happen, and I hope it's a homegrown one, but we're not ready to strengthen any other team just yet!

FC Barcelona - the La Masia graduates - Summer 2032 Update

I'm going to make this just one a year now, each summer. They're coming on nicely though! Left is from when they came through, or in Teixidor's case, when I started, centre is last update, right is now.

One of those who benefited from the post-CL boom in his price tag. He's now a decent RB, even if still a bit lightweight going forward. Passing would be the one attribute I'd be very keen to improve, but otherwise, he's pretty solid. Never going to tear the world apart, but he won't be a real weak link, either.

Chance of making the first team: 70% (-)

He would already be in the first team if it wasn't for Fejzic, Olivari and Dierickx. An awesome talent who'll get more game time next year.

Chance of making the first team: 90% (+10%)

A year in the B side hasn't made much of a difference to be honest. He's ok, but will never make it beyond backup material as we have better options.

Chance of making the first team: 10% (-10%)

If I'm honest, I thought he'd come on more than he has... Chelsea are sniffing around a loan deal, but I'd only be tempted by a cash sale. Disappointing.

Chance of making the first team: 40% (-20%)

He's had a really good season and with Paredes out injured for the first half and Marjanovic being pretty average, he got a lot of game time. I'm really impressed with his development and he'll get more game time still next year.

Chance of making the first team: 90% (+20%)

Hasn't played much, but some good tutoring has seen his stats shoot up. I'd worry about him defensively in any sort of competitive game, but he's pretty wily going forward. It helps that new Assistant Carlos Garcia seems to rate him as well

Good improvements from him this season, and were it not for a few low areas (Creativity, one footed), he'd be in with a half-decent shout. As it is, he's still way down the pecking order.

The Flair will likely never improve, but good to see him working more! Now that I've got Work Rate and Technique up, I'm now going to get those technical attributes more and really blood him this season. He made 10 starts last season, with 5 goals (all in the CL) and 8 assists - not a bad showing from a 17 year old.

Getting better after a good year of development, and he's finally listened to a tutor. Gained a half star of potential as well, which is good to see! I'm going to try to develop him in the Olivari mould, as he looks like a good Treq in the making.

Another year of excellent development, even if we're struggling to get his potential right, and he's first in line to be tutored by Aliotta. He managed 6 appearances last season, and generally did well - he'll get more time this year.

Murillo's improving a little, but I'd have hoped for a bit more in a year. The good news is that his potential is higher, although he's certainly a centre back rather than a LB. He's going to be on a Limited Defender schedule to try to raise the Strength and Jumping, but it could take a while!

Still awesome. Started 30 games (17 sub apps) and scored 17. I'd have hoped for a bit better in terms of goals, but he did get 14 assists as well. Looks phenomenal and still with more to come. A bit of work on Composure is next up, then Passing and finally tweaking those last few striker's attributes to get closer to 20s.

David now has a much deserved YP tag, and he's ticking along very well. A bit more versatility would be nice, but he's about to start learning from Hermann, which should help. I've now switched him to a Deep-Lying Playmaker schedule to bring up those defensive attributes. Looks very Pirlo-esque, you have to say! I really like him, and hard to see how I missed him first time around...

Bit of a random signing - I was scouting a load of the Greek youngsters, and must have accidentally hit Add to Transfer Targets, so the DoF signed him. I could have cancelled, but I'm interested to see how it goes! He's being tutored by Model Professional Bilbao, and we're working on Quickness asap. Up to 13 for Acceleration and Pace will do me.

La Liga started very early this year and we had a nice start against newly promoted Girona. The first half was pretty pedestrian, but once we started pounding them down the flanks, they didn't have a hope; the highlight being a first goal for Sergio Díaz (YP6). We then destroyed Valencia to finish the Supercopa before it had even begun and then scraped past Spurs playing way below par, thanks to a late strike from Joel Mur. Can't complain really.

Transfers

A few more faces left this summer and we paid for Aliotta's transfer comfortably with their departures. None were first teamers bar Morin for whom Aliotta is a massive upgrade. Marjanovic is currently backup LB and is standing in the way of Tomeu Oliver's development, whilst Santana and Santamaria were two CMs too many in an already overstocked department. I could have got more for each of them, but money isn't really an object at Barca any more! They're both good players and I'm sure they will make Serie A a bit better!

September 2032 - FC Barcelona

Out of absolutely nowhere, we've become hopeless, struggling to create chances and just generally being a bit insipid. The month started well though and I was pleased that even having rotated the entire team, we beat Valencia at theirs to win the Supercopa 5-0. Against Betis, Dierickx showed up and scored a hat trick of classy goals. Nothing happened at all against Gala and we then only beat Numancia through a Fumaca free kick (although we did squander 5 clear chances, so I wasn't too worried). More of the same against Levante though, where Flavio's cool finish was the only highlight from our point of view as the strikers did very little. We had to battle against Mallorca as well, and Dierickx again popped up with a neat finish. At least we finished the month on a high, though, putting Charlton to the sword. Ok, it's not disastrous, but when you have 3 up front and aren't creating chances, it's a bit of a concern that you'll get found out elsewhere!

Player of the Month

He probably doesn't do as much damage as he should, but Dierickx has played well this month and scored some absolute crackers. He really reminds me of Thierry Henry in game with the style of goals he scores, running round people at will before just slotting neatly across the keeper. A class player and I probably should be getting more out of him.

August-October 2032 - Spain

Not a bad first couple of months in the job really - I had to make do with the pre-selected squad against Slovakia and we conceded a couple of late goals t.o take the gloss off an otherwise very good performance. The World Cup qualifiers lay ahead and whilst it all looks plain sailing, it's been touch and go at times! We hammered Malta as expected before eking out a nice win in Switzerland thanks to a run and finish from Adolfo (now playing Inside Left in a formation with wingers!). We took a long time to edge ahead of Hungary before they immediately pegged us back, but another stunner and a pen from Adolfo won us the game. To finish off we went into the break 1-0 down in Copenhagen and I rung the changes, with Rubiato on and Adolfo back to his Inside Left position from striker. First, our little legend in the making grabbed his goal, before Rubiato smashed in from a narrow angle to steal the victory.

October 2032 - FC Barcelona

The rot continued as a pretty much full-strength side contrived to rescue a draw with a very late goal at home to Valladolid. After the match, I held a team meeting and curiously, the players didn't seem to think we were playing badly. The rest of the month was therefore spent trying to rescue morale with loads of individual conversations... We just about edged past Hércules in another poor showing, and it took a late, late goal from Dierickx to get us over the line after Olivari had pulled us in front. The performance against Werder was better, with two silly errors letting them in, and we finally produced a decent performance to beat Espanyol in the derby, having rested a number of below-par first teamers. Elche was the kids' chance to shine and David (YP14) celebrated with his first goal for the club, with Pedro putting the game to bed. We finally had a good half - our first in nearly two months - against Osasuna, with Flávio rifling in from everywhere. Fejzic also got his first goals for a while, although he missed a penalty for the hat trick in the second half along with a few more good chances. It's a damn good thing we haven't played any decent teams!

Player of the Month

Flávio is pretty much the only player to come out of this month with much credit. He may not get a load of assists, but he's always involved and has really forced his way into the first team over the last six months or so.

November 2032 - FC Barcelona

A mammoth month and I'm delighted we've regained form at the right time. We rotated a bit, notably for the Charlton game with qualification long since secured, but the first team played more than last month in a bid for consistency. As a result, Werder suffered at the hands of Pedro, who had a very hot game (nothing since, sadly...) before we tore Atletico apart in the first month. Two goals in a couple of minutes did for Valencia, and that match was far more comfortable than it seemed. For Sevilla, it was back to full strength after smashing Galatasaray with a number of fringe players involved. Then came the YP team against Elche, and they did well even if creativity was lacking a little. The first team were back against Sociedad and we looked lightning on the break. As mentioned, the Charlton match was a rest for a lot of the players, and Roig's late goal was a mere consolation.

Yep, Malov's ripping it up, but what's more telling is that he's Real's one good striker and they've played him in every single game, even when half injured. He won't last all season and they're nothing without him.

Player of the Month

For a DM to get such high ratings says a lot and Aliotta has been crucial for us, particularly in the games that weren't necessarily ours to win. Wins all his headers, makes at least 9 interceptions a game and has a passing rate of 88%. Phenomenal.

December 2032 - FC Barcelona

Another good month, even if we didn't have many league games. Even so, we picked up good points over Getafe and Deportivo with the cup games allowing us to field our best side in the league. We won the Club World Cup at an absolute canter, and Deportivo must have been sick at the sight of us (pretty standard in Spain - Bilbao have us three times in a week next month!). We're playing better again and whilst the strikers haven't really hit the back of the net as regularly as last year, it's been comfortable enough.

Forgot the league table screenshot - suffice to say that Madrid are still winning... Instead, have a shot of their top scorer - one hell of a player.

Olivari has been the one of our strikers who's really got amongst the goals this season and he continued a good run this month - such a big player for us as he's the one who pops up with goals out of nowhere.

January-February 2033 - FC Barcelona

Got a bit carried away and forgot to take league/player shots at the end of January with the games coming thick and fast. We're still not hitting full stride yet as evidenced by the number of late goals we've needed. Pedro's was the first, putting us in a good position against Bilbao ahead of the second leg. Annoyingly, we drew the next game as they returned the favour, scoring their equaliser late on. We tied up the quarter final, resting a lot of players before the big game against Real, which we won handily, although at a cost as they injured no fewer than seven of our players. Consequently we were down to the bare bones for both legs of the Copa semi and lost both, sandwiched by a poor draw away at Girona as the fixture list took its toll. Villarreal weren't too tough a proposition to end the month, and we're basically one win behind Real.

February was an easier month both in terms of opposition and weight of fixtures. We made seriously tough work of Levante though, going 1-0 down before two late goals saw us come away with (an admittedly deserved) three points. That late show was nothing compared to coming from 2-0 down after 90 minutes to salvage a draw at Leverkusen, when the Champions League was looking in danger. Back in La Liga, we were getting better, with Fejzic finding his goals again - his struggles have basically mirrored the team's own exactly. He hasn't had the same consistency this season, whereas Real's Malov hasn't stopped getting them out of trouble. When you add that to Dierickx being out, and you've basically got Olivari doing all the work on his own as neither Pedro or Adolfo have had enough game time to get their own consistency - therein lie our troubles. Still, we're three points back, and I feel we deserve to be far further adrift - we'll take it!

Player of the Month

Our homegrown RB grabbed his first goal in February and has produced calm performances across the last two months. He's not the most naturally talented, but was subject of a £25m bid from Man Utd over the summer (had it been £30m, I'd have probably taken it).

March 2033 - FC Barcelona

A fun month! The new strikerless tactic was used for three games to devastating effect, and I do think it's a good one for teams that we should be beating - Adolfo clearly relished it the most, attacking from deep with aplomb, scoring nine goals in six games this month. After utterly demolishing poor Hércules, we then finished the job against Leverkusen, progressing to a tie with Man Utd. Osasuna were a tougher nut to crack, but two first half goals saw them off. Against Atlético, we had the great news that Real had finally dropped points in a draw at lowly Espanyol. We went 2-0 up, then two mistakes from Guaita, the second as I was trying to take him off, saw us relinquish three vital points. Espanyol then suffered the return of Dierickx before we scraped a 1-1 draw at Old Trafford against a very good Man Utd side, in a game which we could have easily lost 3-1 or 4-1.

Player of the Month

No surprises here, and I will probably keep him in the first team for the rest of the season and rotate Dierickx and Fejzic, who have both been exceedingly average. One more season with them and then I'll go Spanish only - we're nearly ready!

Thanks! Glad you're enjoying it. I've always enjoyed bringing younger players through as you can mould them more, and it's very rare I buy anyone over about 23... Bit of an odd tendency, but it seems to work well. The aim is to have the Spanish/Barca only team win everything, then I'll move on, so there's a lot more youth stuff to come!

After a couple of average-ish intakes, it's great to have a good one and with some positions that we need covering. Three tags go out to the top three, and I'll be keeping an eye on Matamala as well.

The star of the intake and he's already a Model Professional, so no tutoring needed! Looks good, although he could use a bit of work on the physicals. Could well be our long-term Aliotta replacement at DM, or just a big DC. Up to four stars post-intake.

Already very pacey, and I'd expect those to hit 20 without much further training - so we'll work on the Jumping for a bit. His creative stats could use some work, but I like the options he'll offer us across the front line. Shame he's such a selfish bugger... Up to three stars post-intake.

Another good DM coming through, and Rodriguez is up to a healthy 3 1/2* after the intake, which is very pleasing. Again, needs work on his pace, but otherwise a very nice addition to the ranks.

Last one, and Matamala is worth keeping an eye on purely due to his raw attributes being right for his position (aside from being a wimp). Hasn't had the same potential boost (fake though it is) post-intake, but we'll see how he goes. Also on quickness straight away.

April 2033 - FC Barcelona

April - the best month possible to go 100%. We made it through to the Champions League final as well as keeping the league interesting with a few games left as our strikers started doing the business when it mattered. As so often this year, we saw off a potentially tricky opponent in Valencia with consummate ease, smashing 6 past them with Adolfo scoring another stunner. Having drawn in Manchester, we were so close to going out against United on away goals and it's fair to say we rode our luck, with two penalties taking us ahead twice, before Dierickx's late, late strike from outside the box sent us through. We negotiated another banana skin, winning away at Sevilla after two goals in a minute from sub Adolfo (never a bad player to bring off the bench!) and Dierickx. Getafe were next in a tough run of fixtures, but were no problem, and Sociedad also fell to our winning streak - what was even better was that Sevilla had done what no-one other than ourselves had, and taken three points at the Bernabeu, putting us level on points with Real. A phenomenal performance against PSG followed in the first leg, and it's no exaggeration to say it could have been 7 or 8, as we carved out chance after chance. I love beating PSG on this save after years of struggling against them with Rennes, and we sewed things up through Morcillo's header in the Parc des Princes. Sandwiching those was a bit of a nailbiter against Depor, where we were a bit off-colour and jaded. The last game of the month saw lots of players rested before next month, with Teixidor intercepting a corner on the edge of his area, before running the length of the pitch, seeing off a defender and slotting home - good from a right back! Martinek's first for the club made things comfortable before the two late goals.

Standard Champions League opponents - this is now my seventh Champions League final against Real, with three wins and three losses to my name. We made things tricky for ourselves this year with late shows against both Leverkusen and United, whilst Real were close to going out against Rennes themselves. They're basically a two man side up front, with Gabriel and star man Malov the real dangers. At the back, they're solid down the flanks, but Polise and Bueno aren't spectacular. The fact that they haven't used a holding mid should play into our hands, as those two will badly need cover against our front three.

We go straight at them after kick off and earn a free kick on the edge after 5 minutes, which Olivari puts in. After an attempted clearance, first Jiménez, then Flávio have goalbound shots blocked. Looking good so far... Ten minutes later and we're again smashing them down the left, with Olivari and Paredes tying their RB in knots, before Flávio again has a good shot saved at point blank range. From the corner, possession gets turned over about 30 yards out and Real break down the right with their first attack of the game - Gabriel running past Paredes and playing it to Malov 25 yards from goal. Their star striker wriggles past two challenges and smashes into the bottom corner. 0-1 Real Madrid! A few minutes later and we're pressing them high up the pitch, with Hermann recovering the ball and passing to Flávio. One awesome through ball later, and Olivari's round the keeper to slot home. 1-1! We're pushing hard again for the next goal, and it's another throw-in that does it. Down the right this time, Flávio and Hermann form a neat triangle with Guaita, who crosses for Flávio to smash in at the near post. 2-1 Barcelona! We're taking advantage of that space in front of the back four now, with Dierickx creating a great chance, running through the defence from inside his own half before tamely hitting at the keeper. Just ten minutes before half time though we're pegged back, with Real's second shot - Hermann losing the ball in a bad place to their LB, who played a one-two before putting in a low cross; Malov sneaking in front of Jiménez (who should have done better) to tap home. 2-2! Half time and we're gutted to be level.

We came out strong again after the break, with Flávio heading against the bar from a freekick shortly after the halfway point. Real had nothing bar a fluke cross which was pushed over by Jiménez. Ten minutes later, we worked it out quickly from the back, taking their four front men out of play. Adolfo picked it up on the halfway line after a couple of interchanges, before lofting a through ball to Dierickx, who lobbed the keeper, with the ball bouncing in off the bar. 3-2 Barcelona! The team was full of confidence now, with Olivari even rifling in a shot from all of 35 yards, which didn't really trouble the keeper... We were looking to wrap things up, and Adolfo should have, with the keeper just pushing his shot away when through one-on-one. It was no respite though, with Stratilatis felling Flávio from the corner, and Dierickx promptly smashed home. 4-2 Barcelona! The final whistle went and Barcelona were European Champions!!!

May 2033 - FC Barcelona

There was only really one match that mattered, and beating Madrid away was the perfect result. We got off to a good start, with Pedro smashing in after good work from the excellent Adolfo. They equalised just after half time, and a draw would have been enough given that La Liga goes on head to head, but Gaspar Jiménez headed home from a corner late on to win it and all but seal the title. We needed one win from the last two, and Dierickx's strike early on against Granada put us on the right path. They did get one back late on after Adolfo's two instinctive finishes, but it was too much for Real to overhaul. We struggled a bit against Bilbao, despite fielding a full strength team, and were unlucky not to score more than the one (actually a Hermann goal from a freekick which was oddly given as an o.g.), with Olivari smashing the bar from 30 yards on 92 minutes. The unbeaten (somehow!!!) season was over though, and in spite of not being great individually - see below - our superior squad had done the job.

FC Barcelona - the La Masia graduates - Summer 2032 Update

I'm going to make this just one a year now, each summer. They're coming on nicely though! Left is from when they came through, or in Teixidor's case, when I started, centre is last update, right is now.

Fair to say he's hit his potential with no improvements really in spite of a whole season in the squad - half as first choice. He's good, but not great - if someone better were to come through the ranks, he'd not last too long!

I thought he'd push on more than he did this year - he's decent (and somehow has had a wage drop?!) but is no Adolfo! That said, he came up with some crucial goals this season and will get even more game time next season.

Still awesome even if his spread of stats is a bit odd. Looking to play him more next year and really boost his development which was slowed a bit after a 4 month injury this season. He eventually needs to take over from Aliotta so there's big shoes to fill!

One last little update and it's a new signing. I keep tabs on all the other Spanish sides' youth intakes and one player really stood out. You know when they have the potential to match Adolfo that they're worth buying and we got Francisco for £7.5m. Steep for a 15 year old, but he's two footed and looks incredible.

Summer News - Transfers

No big buys this summer, but a couple of big losses. I mentioned a couple of times that I needed to move on one of my front three and after last season, I felt there was one obvious choice, who isn't quite at the level of the other two - perhaps surprising given his attributes. As a result, after a bit of negotiating, with nobody willing to fork out over £50m, we saw this deal go through:

A bit of a low price really, but I always felt that his one footedness and the fact that he's not quite as mentally strong as the other two, made him the 'weakest' of the three. Additionally, last season really showed his lack of consistency - he'd go five games without scoring, then grab five goals in two, rinse and repeat. At our level, we need a bit more reliability. I probably wouldn't have sold him if we weren't going all Spanish, but he's in the way of Adolfo and Pedro (YP2) and they need game time.

At first glance, a slightly stranger sale, given that he is Spanish and developing well, but I and my assistants felt he'd hit his peak. I don't think his potential is actually that high, but his attributes are just spread really nicely. I had an ulterior motive as well, with the desire to sell a youth product for £30m to fulfil that achievement - done!

Rennes were letting Marília's contract run down and I thought it'd be nice for him to see his career out with us. He'll be a great tutor for a year, and a couple of players will benefit from him - he won't play much other than in the Copa del Rey and the occasional Champions League game though. Bourbos is our second attempt at the 'Solve the Recession' challenge and already has a selling price of £10m on his head. He seems to have good potential and most of his stats (bar the physicals) are where you'd want them to be. We'll see what a few years of development will do for him.

I holidayed all of the friendlies after the Chivas one, and clearly forgot to tell the Assistant to field the first team for the Columbus match - nice to see Rueda (YP16) grab a goal though. We started La Liga very early, and a smooth win over Getafe was exactly what we needed. Sadly, we were poor against Madrid both times - a bit of a concern given how crucial our matches against them proved last season. We did at least pick it up for the second season curtain-raiser and edged out Chelsea 3-2 in spite of a late goal for them. Finally, Elche suffered a bit in the first half, with two own goals slightly hiding the fact that it was no less than we deserved.

September 2033 - FC Barcelona

The first Superclasico came early this season, and we smashed it! First half goals from Olivari and Dierickx settled the nerves, before we grabbed a deserved third just before the end. We were poor in the Champions League this month though, with Galatasaray grabbing two goals in the second half to nab a draw. A routine win over Sevilla followed, with a trademark Olivari wriggle and strike to put us ahead before Aliotta smashed in from a corner. We went all out against Valencia and Pedro (YP2)'s low finish started things off before the floodgates opened, with five different scorers typifying our side in recent years. Poor Ponferradina really suffered though, with two hat tricks for Pedro and Simon and third front man Adolfo not far off either. We ended the month on a bit of a low note in a poor, poor draw against Wisla. Not the best start in the Champions League, but La Liga is looking good!

Player of the Month

Pedro (YP2) has been brilliant this month, and really grown into the hole that Fejzic left in the team. I'm still not sure on the role he needs to play on the right of our three - either AF (A) or DLF (A) - but we'll get there!

March-September 2033 - Spain

We were superb in the latter half of this campaign as things really started to click. The 4-5-1 formation I had been trying was producing results, but strangely, not as many chances as the goals would suggest. I also didn't feel it was getting the best out of Pedro (YP2) out on the right wing, so for the Denmark game we trialed a 4-4-2 diamond, which seemed (at least initially) much more successful. Way before this though, we started by thumping Latvia through a great Buelhoa hat trick and three from the Barca chaps. Only winning 3-2 in Malta was a slight concern. A pointless friendly against Cyprus followed before we secured qualification, then top spot in the games against Switzerland and Hungary respectively. The Hungary game was a real late show, as we tore them to shreds as their players tired. The last two matches were a procession, and part one of the task is done.

Another good month started with a tight win over top four perennials Granada thanks to a Bilbao header from a corner. We then just edged past Depor in our seemingly typical sluggish league start. The CL run finally got off the ground with a 4-1 thumping of Porto in which Adolfo was a nightmare for the Portuguese. Back in La Liga we had a couple of easy matches to finish the month off, with Daniel Kalan, who had been clamouring for more game time following his loan return from Spurs, showing what he could do with four goals in the last three games.

I really don't get what has happened in the CL this year. Again, we outplayed the sides in every match but just couldn't score (or, in the case of the Porto game, scored, but conceded every shot they had...). Thankfully, we would just end up top of the group and avoid a harder opponent in February. Kalan's great form continued at Mallorca, where his hat trick goal came from about an inch in front of the line. We conceded against Atletico from a corner with just 1 minute to play (although given the number of set piece goals I score, I can't complain too much). The Betis game was the real frustration, as we never started. It was even a strong starting XI so I'm baffled as to what went wrong. Still, 59 games unbeaten is a pretty good effort, and may be my longest ever on FM. We've let Madrid back in though...

Player of the Month

Weird to pick a defender from such a porous month, but Gaspar has been class whilst all around him fell apart. He wins everything in the air and isn't exactly a slouch either.

December is always the month of the Copa and perhaps for the best, we exited early. The reserves destroyed Murcia before we battered Sevilla with just the one Kalan goal to show for it - 23 shots to 0, 4 clear chances and the woodwork 5 times. Still, the second leg didn't go well and it may help our slightly injury-ravaged squad in the long run. The Club World Cup was its usual easy affair, with another final win over River. Sandwiched between all of this was the one league match at Espanyol where Kalan shone again - his two goals inside a minute making life easy. In the league, Real have the games played, but theoretically there's still a one point advantage for us.

Player of the Month

Bastian had an excellent month, grabbing the odd goal but generally playing a far greater creative role than he has done for much of the season. He doesn't really perform to the level his stats suggest he should, so it's nice to see him step it up every once in a while.

I knew we'd only have him for a season, and he hasn't been great in all honesty. Still, we'll probably get one more bit of tutoring out of him.

Seems a shame to raid Rennes again, but they would have let him go to Chelsea and we couldn't have that happen! I'll have him for one more season to tutor. He's still incredibly good, with 571 goals for Rennes and has won a ridiculous number of Golden Balls - see below. I'm excited to have him back - the best striker I've ever had on any FM.

January 2034 - FC Barcelona

Without the Copa, this became a very straightforward and pleasing month where we racked up both points and goals with ease. Perhaps most pleasing in the Sociedad mauling was a first ever goal for DM Planagumá, who's rotated in a fair amount for Aliotta in the easier games. Pedro's snapshot was all we got for a trip to Numancia, but it was (just) enough. As ever after a poor showing, we hammered the next side up and poor Villarreal suffered at the hands of Quinteros, who ran the show with three assists along with his two goals. Athletic were decent for the first 45 minutes of our double header but really struggled in the next 135, conceding from all over the park. Adolfo was having a really good season and he grabbed yet another against Levante before we stepped things up late on, with even Ismael Murillo (YP11) grabbing a very late goal. Last up was a routine win over Getafe thanks to our Spanish Lampard and Kalan.

Player of the Month

Quinteros has worked his way steadily into the first team set up and has grabbed the occasional goal to helps matters. Strangely, the game didn't credit him with a couple of assists this month, but he's been solid as a rock.
