Arsenal away....the ultimate bogey team?

Recommended Posts

Is it just me or are arsenal impossible to beat at the emirates?Ive had my fair share of bogey teams through the years, some in recent years like Man utd,Fulham or even wigan and west ham have been difficult places to go to,but as far back as early in the FM's i have never managed to take a single point from the emiratesIn fact they are the only team in the game siries i have never won against away from home,in fact,i dont recall getting a point against them.

In FM 13 in my Chelsea and liverpool saves im 2 seasons through both and have played arsenal twice each save,as chelsea lost 3-0 first season and 3-0 2nd.....as liverpool 1st season i lost 6-1 there and 4-1 2nd season, this is despite the fact ive done quite well on both saves and qualified for champions league with both teams.

Their overalll home record usually every season is pretty tame and usually never qualify for CL and end up mid table, but it seems when i play against them regardless they become god like. For a while i thought what the hell was i doing wrong with my tactics....it got to the point where all i thought i could do whenever i faced them was try a 5-4-1 defensive and try and stop them creating so many chances but dosent work at all.Im very afraid to talk to the media about the manager at all as all this does is seems to spur the arsenal players on even more.

What about anyone else?Anyone else finding this fixture extremely difficult?or is it just me?

I have traditionally struggled against the likes of Arsenal, Chelsea and Man Utd away on FM. However, this time round I've played the Gunners once so far in my Newcastle save. Won 2-1 at the Emirates thanks to goals from Ben Arfa & Cisse, and I'm currently joint top along with them after 8 games. :)

While managing Boca, I had a lot of problems when my team had to play against Arsenal de Sarandí. No matter how well we played in the last matches, no matter whether they were on a bad form or not, Arsenal was always a difficult team

It could be because of its name...
