mexamoxa
Hi fellow managers, just got promoted to the PL and i was wondering what would be the best tactical approach to stay up, i gained promotion playing 4-1-3-2 at the start but changed to 4-4-2 midway as I had more consistent results with it. But as I expect to be dominated on the majority of PL matches, 4-4-2 doesn't seem the best way to go, I'm leaning towards 4-5-1 (4-1-4-1), what do you think? Also it would be better to set rigid right? and contain / counter? I'm Nottingham Forest and have a nice squad (i think), got vanden borre, masilela, strandberg and already managed to sign simão (from shandong luneng) and cornelius for the next season! also got alan judge neal eardley on free transfers. opinions please! lam
In principal the attacking counter-attacking tactic of cleon could work well for you. If you are newly promoted the opposition will be attacking you and you can counter attack them back. You will need to play with the roles based on your team, but the general idea is a solid one.
