gamefreak21
i started a save with chelsea using 4-1-3-2. -------------------------Cech (G)-------------------------- Azpilicueta (WB, defend)---Cahill (CD, cover)---Terry (CD, stopper)---Cole (WB, defend) -----------------------Lampard (Anchor)------------------- ---Ramires (W, support)--Mata (AP, support)---Hazard (W, support) -----------Torres (AF, attack)-------Falcao (TM, Attack) Style: rigid Philosophy: control Passing style: direct Creative freedom: disciplined Closing down: press more Marking: man; but set my each defenders to zonal in players' instructions Crossing: drill Roaming: stick Def line: normal Width: wide Tempo: quick Time wasting: rarely Focus passing: mixed Counter attack: on My team is excellent in attacking. i have already score 135 goals in the season with still 6-7 more left. Problem is when i'm defending. Here are the issues: 1. my defenders most of the time seem to contain the opposition but hardly tackles. And whenever do 8/10 times they mistime the tackles. i have tried changing the team & defenders' marking to zonal/man but to no avail. i have tried using normal/hard tackling but no result. 2. I am conceding way too many goals from corners & FKs. For def corners: 2 WBs guarding two posts, 2 CBs marking tall players, DM + AM + Wingers all set to go back, 1 striker set to edge of area, other striker stay forward For def FKs: 2 WBs on two posts standing, 2 CBs + 1 winger set to man mark, DM + AM + 1 winger + 1 striker all set to man mark, 1 striker set to stay forward 3. another issue is that whenever my opposition is on either of the posts they can easily cross or thru to the other side of the post & my defenders just stand there without any interception, as a result i concede goals. 4. and whenever there is a shot outside the box from the edge i concede. PLEASE HELP. P.S. I couldn't post screeshots as for some weird reasons i can't get them
Spart
By the looks of it, your tactics will leave a lot of space between your lines. I'd drop Ramieres back into MC as a central midfielder on support, set Azpilicueta to attack and replace one of your strikers with another winger or push one of Falcao/Torres out wide. I'm also not sure if Lampard is the best man for the job as your anchor - what about Romeu or Mikel? What I'm suggesting is more of a 4-5-1 but you should have more interplay between your lines. You might also want to look at your defensive line - with control, press more and plenty of attackers you might be leaving yourself wide open for counters. Try playing counter instead to see if that works better for you.
Spart
By the way, having a more robust midfield will hopefully stop attackers from gaining chances, corners and freekicks close to your box.
gamefreak21
mikel's problem is with movement. he takes too much time on the ball. well playing with a single striker will dry my goals down. falcao & torres have 66 goals between playing with each other. now going with your suggestion i will drop ramires back to mc. and then move mata out to wide? play 4-1-1-2-2? and should i make my def line more deep?
