That's why having players with great personalities and high decisions/determination will make your team more consistent away from home, in my experience. Kenco Posted February 13, 2013 Share Posted February 13, 2013 Kenco, I think it'd be more interesting to look at goal differential rather than points per game.The problem with programming home advantage into a simulation game is that there really isn't that great of an understanding of why home advantage exists in the first place. It's tough to code an effective simulation of a mechanism that isn't well understood. Has there ever been official word from SI on how exactly they apply home advantage? Does the away team get a confidence penalty, or does it have other effects like referee bias? I don't know how SI program it but it seems to work reasonably well.
