j88_ftm
I am a little hazy on some of the finer points of the Laws of the Game, but am I right in thinking that if a penalty (or indeed corner or free kick) hits the woodwork, the player who took it is not permitted to touch the ball again until someone else has? I'm sure I was told years ago that this would count as striking the penalty twice which is obviously a foul. I'm asking because I just conceded a goal on FM very much along these lines. The taker hit the base of the left post (no contact with the keeper), and the ball rebounded straight back to him and he knocked it home. IRL this would surely be a free kick to the defending team but the game allowed the goal to stand. Anyone else seen anything like this in the game? FrazT
You are correct and there have been a few instances of this already reported- SI are aware of it. Thanks.
j88_ftm
Ah right, cheers. I wasn't sure if I should report it as a bug or not in case there was some loophole in the official rules that I wasn't aware of
