Player fitness after returning from international duty

Recommended Posts

Not sure if this has been covered or not but I just saw something completely ridiculous on one of my saves ..

The majority of my squad of 36 were called up for internationals and when it came to my next domestic game (so maybe 3-4 days after they had returned) only 7 of them were 92% or more

29 were 82% - 91% !!

In a nutshell it seems as if I was being penalised for having so many international-standard players

Yes this doesn't happen with every international beak but it does seem to occur at least 3-4 times each season depending on which teams you manage.

This is unfortunately something which managers in real-life have to contend with also, players active with their international teams may well be slightly more tired than others - especially if playing thousands of miles away (heck it takes me a week to get over jetlag myself ;) ) .....

You're also obviously running the risk of them being injured while active with their international side - but then again reassure yourself that you do have some of the best players in the world? ;)

Not necessarily the best in the world if they are representing both Irelands, Wales, Scotland and the other non major countries

An example would be Wigan - probably about 15 call ups but not to any major countries

Know it seems like nit picking ... It probably is :D
