Hey everyone, sorry I didn't make it the last couple of sessions but I had to work due to the time I had off. I also think I won't be there for the next couple of sessions cause the Beer festival starts tomorrow . 12 days of the best beer in the world. My brother and a mate are coming over to visit today for the weekend so tomorrow is a definite no. Monday I might make it, depends on work and the weather. I'll keep you posted.

Solksjaer Retires

After snapping up Ole Gunnar Solksjaer on a free transfer in October, He finally called it a day in January. After a succesful stint with the club bagging a few goals along the way, we are happy with how he helped us. One positive we got from it is that we kept him on as a coach so he will still be around and hopefully help make our younger players better.

Millwall v Coventry Lost 2-1 League

We started the session of with a bang as Patrick Berger netted for us on 19 minutes. We held out till half time with our 1 goal lead. We kept it tight after the restart but let our lead go on 76 minutes as Coventry grabbed an equaliser. Everything was going fine as we were so close to getting a point. Coventry wanted all 3 points though as they grabbed a late penalty on 94 minutes. They tucked it away and left me feeling very frustrated.

Wigan v Millwall Lost 3-2 League

A disaterous(sp) start to this match as Ellington put Wigan into the lead after just 40 seconds. This was a kick in the teeth for us as we carried on from where we left off in our last match. We levelled the score just 2 minutes later as Teever smashed the ball into the net to make it 1-1. 12 minutes gone and Sikora scored a great goal on his debut to make it 2-1. Eliingotn grabbed his 2nd on 16 minutes to make it 2-2. We went into the break tied at 2-2. Once again we kept it tight but the last 10 minutes cost us again. We let Ellington get free as he grabbed his hat trick on 84 minutes. Another point thrown away.

Millwall v Ipswich Drew 2-2 League

We needed to pick our selves up from our 2 defeats and get back to winning. Teever did just that on 25 minutes as he put us into the lead. We went into half time 1-0 up which i was happy with. Not much happened in the 2nd half until 20 minutes to go. Ipswich levelled the match on 72 minutes. Then new signing Kirch grabbed his first goal for us to take us into a 2-1 lead. Things were looking great for us again but like the last 2 matches we let Ipswich grab a late late equaliser. 93 minutes gone and they make it 2-2. A disasterous match again which i was very unhappy about.

Leicester v Millwall Lost 2-0 League

it seems like out luck had ran out. Our morale was very low and i couldnt see us picking anything up against this team. Leicester struck twice in the first half to seal the win as they scored on 9 and 45 minutes. We couldnt get ack into the game and lost 2-0. Now only 3 points of relegation. Things were looking bad.

Millwall v West Ham Won 2-0 League

This was a must need win. Not just for 3 points but because it was against our rivals. If i didnt get 3 points from this match then it would be tough staying in this league next season. It took us just 26 minutes to get on the score sheet as Hjartarson grabbed us a goal to put us 1-0 up. We went into the break still with this lead. now i was hoping we wouldnt lose it again like the last 4 matches but thankfully Hjartarson was on form as he grabbed his 2nd on 60 minutes to seal the win. This win put us 5 points from safety but still a 3rd of the league campaign left. There is still losts to do.

it was peterscu in the 39th minute who scored the first goal to give blackpool the 1-0 lead.

in the 41 minute on there first attack donnelly scored and made it 1-1 .in the 45th minute peterscu 1 on 1 missed a great chance.in the 62nd minute danny knight made it 2-1 .and in the 78th minute as i was trying to equalize de bolla made it 3-1 .

after changing tactics in this game ,we saw a diffrenet team .

carboni had 2 great chances before being fould in the area and holberg scored from the penalty in the 19th minute.gama scored a goal that was disallowed .gama scored agian in the 70th minute to make it 2-0 .

After a fantastic run we enter the New Year sitting pretty in 3rd spot and looking a sure bet for a play off place at the end of the season.

A good start as the ‘pool grab a goal courtesy of Adam Boyd in the first half and take the advantage into the dressing room at half time

The players of Hartlepool took to the field in the second half looking like they were nursing hangovers from the new years celebrations and the Posh took full advantage, with McDermott netting the equaliser 12 minutes after the restart. Bridges put the Posh ahead 3 minutes later. Then Thomson increased the advantage and McDermott rounded off a miserable afternoon for the travelling monkey hangers as he stroked the ball home to seal the win at 4-1

A great first half with goals from Perpetuini and Boyd to give the home side a solid advantage at half time. The second half saw the ‘pool continue to dominate, but then 2 minutes of madness saw Swindon slip back into the game as first Caton then Johnson took advantage of some slack defending within 120 seconds of each other and draw the visitors level. Hartlepool continued to pepper the Swindon goal with shot after shot but all that was achieved was a MOM award for Rachubka as the game finished level

After the last two performances where Hartlepool have thrown a way a lead Rouch was determined that things would change in this match, and they did After a goalless first half Torquay stunned the home side with a double salvo from Grittori, this time however, it was Torquays turn to throw away the lead as first Humphreys pulled on back then Simek grabbed the equaliser with 3 minutes on the clock! This left everyone in a positive mood but the manager was the first to point out that this is now their 4th game without a win and their position in the league was starting to slip

millwall v Swansea Won 1-0 League

With a porr last few matches it was important to get on the winning trail again. We finally managed a win today as Teever grabbed the only goal of the match on 51 minutes. We held out until the final whistle to take all 3 points.

Crew v Millwall Drew 2-2 League

We started off poorly as Crewe took the lead on 12 minutes. Teever levelled the match on 15 minutes. we put lots of pressure onto their defence and it paid off on 39 minutes. Serioux struck a great shot that their gk couldnt save. Second half and we held on until the 94th minute. Where once again we let a very late goal in. Another annoying finish to the game.

Derby v Millwall Drew 1-1 League

Another draw for us today. We were becoming the draw kings of the league. Teever put us ahead on 27 minutes after he got round their defence to place the ball into the net. We went into the half with a good 1-0 lead. Derby didnt take long after the restart to levell as they scored on 53 minutes. The match finished 1-1.

Millwall v Hull Won 2-1 League

With the chasing pack gaining ground on us we desperately needed 3 points. it was becoming harder for us to get away from them and our results werent getting any better. Teever put us into the lead on 11th minute. He rounded the keeper to pass the ball into the empty net. Good goal. Once again we went into the break with a 1 goal lead. I jsut hoped we could keep that lead for a while. Well we kept the 1-0 lead until just after the hour mark. We kept plugging away and we finally got the goal we needed. Teever scored to get his 10th goal of the season on 83 minutes. It turned out to be the winning goal. A good win.

Hartlepool – The rouchie years

Well Hartlepools rollercoaster season is in full swing after a month where they failed to win and slipped to 6th in the league Rouch was looking for some consistency from the team as we enter the critical phase of the season. To bolster the attack Gabriel Agbonlahor is brought in on loan from Aston Villa.

Versus Huddersfield (H) 3rd February 2007

Hartlepool grab their long awaited first win of 2007 with Perpetuini weighing in with one of his rare (but always vital!) goals, and a debut score from Agbonlahor to set Hartlepool fans off into song. Andy Doyles sterling midfield performance is rewarded with the MOM champagne

Barnsley Chairman Peter Risdale offers Paul Rouch the vacant managers role at fellow League One outfit Barnsley handing him a transfer kitty of £725,000! It is understood that Rouch has declined the offer as he felt this would be a sideways if not downwards move!

After Rouch declined the Barnsley vacancy, Championship team Plymouth Argyle are understood to have offered Paul Rouch the opportunity to move up a level. Robbie Foys tireless work on the wing was rewarded with the MOM award as Hartlepool make it 3 wins in succession

This 90 minutes will live long in the Hartlepool fans memories, a good start with Agbonlahor grabbing the opener, soon went a bit Pete Tong when Andy Doyle was sent off after on 13 minutes ! Somehow Hartlepool held on to the advantage til the break. Second half was just as controversial as a second Hartlepool player was dismissed, leaving 9 men on the pitch as Simon Holland took an early bath Things looked grim for the travelling monkey hangers! But after this the team seemed to unite and play some free flowing football, that took Barnsley completely by surprise and over rode the numerical disadvantage First Strachan extended the lead, then Barnsley at last seemed to grasp the fact that they had 2 more men than Hartlepool and pulled one back with a strike from Jarman. Agbonlahor then went on a 1 man demolition mission, netting a further 3 goals to embarrass 11 men Barnsley and take his own tally to 8 in 4 games The fans were delirious and Barnsley were shellshocked. No question as to who the MOM was, step forward Agbonlahor, a real coup of a loan signing!

The yo-yo trend is in full swing at Hillsborough as the owls' inconsistency continues but they are still in a good position to finish well away from the relegation battle. Here is a rundown of the latest games....

The League Campaign

Sheffield Wednesday v West Brom - (H) - 1-1

A game the Owls should have won and Hepburn knows his team dropped two valuable points. With such a small aquad the players went into this on the back of a bad run of games and this was a very tired performance from the Owls. Paul Ifill put WBA ahead after 20 minutes but the Owls managed to carve an equaliser through a Mokoena penalty. This was after Gaardsoe was given his marching orders for a professional foul. In the second half the Owls never really made the extra man count as they toiled and toiled but never looked like regaining the lead. Poor performance fromt he Owls against a team fighting relegation.

Sheffield Wednesday v Birmingham - (H) - 0-0

A game that is best remembered as forgotten as nothing of real note took place. Birmingham had the better of the game and created a couple of chances but Hepburn was more concerned about his team's current inability to create any chances against teams at home. This game they did not hit the target once and only had two shots at goal. Another disappointing performance.

Chelsea v Sheffield Wednesday - (A) - 4-0 Defeat

On the back on recnet poor performances the last thing they wanted was a trip to Stamford Bridge to face the superstars of Chelsea. The gulf in class really told in this game as the Owls players looked as if they were chasing shadows at times and just looked tired in general. It was 3-0 at half time with goals from Damien Duff and a double from Chevanton. In the second half Michael Ballack added a fourth to add more misery to the Owls. Hepburn looked a disconsolate figure on the touchline at full time as he knew he had a huge job on his hands to get the Owls out of this run of bad form.

Everton v Sheffield Wednesday - (A) - 2-1 Defeat

It was back on the road and a trip to Merseyside dawned as the Owls faced Everton. It was another one sided affair as Everton dominated proceedings from start to finish with the Owls really showing no confidence at all throughout their team. Leon Osman opened the scoring on the half hour and Andrew Fowler made it 2-0 to the Toffees. It should have been more but David Lucas was the only Wednesday who came out of this game with any praise from Hepburn as he played superbly well. Hepburn was finding out just how hard the Premiership really is at the moment as he looked under pressure for the first time in his short managerial career.

Nottingham Forest v Sheffield Wednesday - (A) - 1-0 Win for the Owls!!!!

Finally a win at last after a few games without one. It was scrappy with no real skill throughout the game but Hepburn was not caring as he left with three precious points in the bag for his team. Luis Costa was the hero like he has been throughout his Owls career with the winner that suddenly eased the pressure for Hepburn. Forest had chances but Lucas in the owls goal was again in super form to deny them a goal. At the end of the day the Owls just about deserved their win.

The League Cup Final

Arsenal v Sheffield Wednesday - (N) - 3-2 Defeat

A very one sided final that had started so well for the Owls as they took a surprise early lead that had the Owls fans shouting the roof off of the impressive new Wembley Stadium. Arsenal equalised almost immediately through Park Ji-sung and fromt hen on there was only one team in this final and it certainly was not the Owls. Stewart Downing needlessly got himself sent off for dissent and from then on it made the job for the Owls doubly hard. Patrick Vieira put the gunners ahead. the second half was non stop Arsenal pressure and Lucas yet again kept the score down. Van Persie did make it 3-1. Mokoena added a second for the Owls but it was merely a consolation goal as they were well beaten on the day.

So things are looking ok at the moment for the Owls but Hepburn wants to see a big push from his team from now until the end of the season.

The Owls Observer - Come on the Owls get your act together!!!

That was the cry from the Owls fans as they have seen their team slump badly and slowly but surely they are being pulled back into the relegation battle although they do sit in 12th position in the table. The Owls have lost their way in what was turning out to be a promising season. The players seem far too tired every game to perform to the best of their ability and that is what they need in the Premiership. The squad is crying out for new faces and the fans are slowly getting more and more unhappy with the board for not giving Hepburn the backing that is required to succeed in the Premiership. Here is a run down of the latest games in the Owls' topsy turvy season......

The League Campaign

Sheffield Wednesday v Newcastle - (H) - 4-0 Win for the Owls!!!

After the loss in the League Cup Final it was back to league action for the Owls as they entertained high flying fourth placed Newcastle to Hillsborough. The Toon army were out in full force expecting an easy win along with the bookies who had the Toon as hot favourites. The afternoon didn't turn out as planned for the travelling support as the Owls rose to the occasion and took the chances that they created. It was a game of two quickfire doubles as the hero of the day and MOM Jan Simak grabbed a double early in the first half to knock the stuffing out of Newcastle. With Newcastle pressing hard for goals another quickfire double minutes from time gave the Owls an impressive three points. Luis Costa was the man who added number three and Harbuzi put the icing on the cake with number four. Great performance from the Owls and the fans were celebrating another famous victory at Hillsborough.

Arsenal v Sheffield Wednesday - (A) - 3-0 Defeat

Another game against Arsenal and another heavy defeat that again could have been a lot worse than the 3-0 scoreline suggests. Lucas in the Owls goal was playing out of his skin to keep the scoreline down. A huge gulf in class was evident as the Gunners stroked the ball about like only they can do. All the goals came in the second half as Henry, Gilberto and Aliadiere all helped themselves to a goal each. Poor poor performance from the Owls who just did not even defend properly at times.

Sheffield Wednesday v Man City - (H) - 2-0 Defeat

Off the back of the trouncing from Arsenal they got another tanking off Man City. The Owls looked very low on confidence and they all looked fatigued when they needed to be at their best against a good Man City side. it could have been a lot more than 2-0 but for some really poor finishing from City. A goal in each half was enough. The goals came from Anelka and Gerard.

So as we enter the final stages of what has been a weird season for the Owls they need a couple more victories to secure their Premiership status and look forward to the new season with hopefully a chance to rebuild the team and strengthen the squad in general to pus for a better finish next season.

Leeds v Millwall Lost 2-1 League

After apretty decent frew games where we grabbed 8 points from 12, we travelled to Elland Road to take on the mighty Leeds. With their manager sacked only a few months ago it seemed like the best time to play them. Unfortunately it seemed like Leeds had re grouped as they came out fighting. They took the lead on 34 minutes after a well worked goal. They doubled their lead just 5 minutes later on 39 minutes. A bad 5 minutes for us. We came out in the second half fired up. Attacking their goal but nothing was going in. We finally got a goal back on 79 minutes as Hjartarson scored but it was too little too late. Leeds ran out pretty comfortable 2-1 winners.

Millwall v Brighton Drew 0-0 League

With Brighton propping up the other teams at the bottom of the league, and us needed some points to get away from them we really needed all 3 points today. My players didnt seem up for it however as Brighton cancelled out all our attacks. Neither team looked like scoring and the 0-0 scoreline was the most fair result.

Bristol City v Millwall Won 2-0 League

A tough match today as we travelled to Bristol. With much needed points available i was really hoping we could at least have a go at them. Hjartarson accepted my plea to get goals as he smashed a 25 yard strike into the net on 22 minutes. A super strike. Just before half-time and Bristol were down to 10 men as Coles hacked down one of my players. We came out inthe 2nd half knowing we had 2 advantages. A 1-0 lead and a 1 man advantage. 10 men are always hard to beat but thankfully we had a goal which put us in pole position for the 3 points. Eirik Bakke pretty much finished the job on 75 minutes as he placed the ball into the net. We held it tight and won 2-0. A great 3 points for us.

What can follow the “Perfect†month of February? First game for March is a real tough one, away to Stoke, who are League Leaders with a country mile to spare!

Hartlepool kept things very tight in the first half and took the lead right on the stroke of half time when that man again, Agbonlahor stroked the ball home to keep up his record of scoring every time he plays for the ‘pool! The second half saw Stoke emerge a much stronger team than they had been in the first 45. The pressure brought rewards almost immediately when Elias Vladimir Montes tapped in after only 2 minutes of the restart. Despite constant attacking play it was a further 30 minutes before Stoke could claim the lead when Elias Vladimir Montes grabbed his brace to seal his MOM award and earnt Stoke the win

A match against Rob Perry’s Royals proved to be a tight affair with both managers using similar tactics. Reading started the brighter and made some early chances but were unable to finish in the final third of the pitch. Hartlepool eased in to the game as it wore on and eventually, up popped that man that has become a god to the ‘pool faithful, Agbonlahor, to put the monkey hangers ahead just before the break. The second half again saw Reading create some good chances, but they just lacked the finish to convert the chances to goals. Predictably, Agbonlahor showed them how to do it when he secured his brace just before the final whistle! Another MOM magnum was awaiting the striker as he left the pitch! Hartlepools run of good form continued and Andy Doyle gave Hartlepool the ideal start with a 7th minute strike. Rotherham were a very attacking outfit and Gareth Williams had his work cut out between the sticks, and even he was unable to stop the stunner that Monkhouse slotted home midway through the half. The score remained 1-1 until the break. In the second half, the mighty Agbonlahor added to his already impressive tally with a goal just before the hour to regain the lead for Hartlepool and another 4 minutes later to double the advantage the fans were chanting his name throughout the remainder of the game. Rotherham continued their attacking policy but Williams kept them at bay and played a vital role in securing 3 hard fought points and was delighted to receive the MOM award

Doyle went to work even earlier in this match and gave the home side a lead after only 3 minutes Walsall were still in the game though and some stout defending was required to maintain the advantage. As the game wore on the fans were beginning top wonder if Agbonlahors remarkable scoring run was going to come to an end as he just didn’t appear to be getting into the right position to have a strike and was playing more as a provider than a predator. A little more faith should have been had, he kept us waiting til the 90th minute but Agbonlahor extended his scoring streak to 16 goals in 10 consecutive games Adam Boyd set the goal up for him and was duly rewarded with some MOM champagne after the match

Edan Waldman’s resurgent Blackpool was the next challenge facing Hartlepool. A wet and windy day was lit up for the travelling fans when Agbonlahor scored in his 11th consecutive game to break Jermaine Defoe’s of 10 in a row when he was on loan to Bournemouth the score remained this way until the second half when Doyle scored to make it 2-0 to the visitors which is how it remained until the final whistle. It wasn’t all plain sailing as it required a MOM performance from defender Simon Holland to ensure that he team did not concede under Blackpools pressure. Rouch warmly congratulated Edan Waldman on his teams performance and once again walked away with the bragging rights over a fellow human manager

News filtered through that Blackpool had equalised against Cardiff but they finished level which meant that although Hartlepool were level on points, the superior goal difference of Cardiffs saw them through to the Championship leaving Hartlepool with the lottery of the play offs

The teams stepped out onto the pitch at Wembley led by their managers Paul Rouch and Rob Perry and the noise was phenomenal! Hartlepool were in their unfamiliar 3rd kit, the red, and Reading wore their usual blue and white hoops. The game kicked off and Adam Boyd was the first to make an impression in his final game for the club before he signs for Swansea, with a goal after 7 minutes. Mark Jones doubled the advantage 6 minutes later to give Hartlepool an ideal start! There were a number of exchanges in the half but Hartlepool hung on to the lead, and in fact Boyd had a clearcut opportunity to put the monkey hangers 3 goals top the good but shot over the bar! The second half kicked off and Reading were pushing forward. Marlon finally pulled one back just before the hour. Almost immediately after the restart Williams is given a second yellow for tugging Edersons shirt and is dismissed leaving the ‘pool 30 minutes to go with 10 men! King then grabbed the equaliser after 76 minutes and Hartlepool were looking susceptible. They manage to hold on and the game went into extra time. Shortly after the start of the first 15 minutes Ederson struck to give reading the lead for the first time in the game and earn himself the MOM award. The ‘pool battled bravely but the missing man was showing and they could not find a way back, Reading retained the advantage and when the final whistle went the Hartlepool slumped to the floor totally dejected, having missed out automatic promotion by goal difference only, to lose in the Play off final, after leading 2-0 was too much to bear for some of the players. Rouch congratulated Rob Perry on his victory and then went and spoke to each of his players trying to console the inconsolable.

Boyd opened on 7mins for Hartlepool and send the crowd wild,this was to be his last game at Hartlepool and he was joining swansea July 1st on a free transfer,Mark Jones doubled the lead for the reds and that looked like Reading dead and buried half time Perry made 2 subs and gave his reading team a right telling off what ever he said worked King scored on 58mins to make it 2-1 and give Reading a hope of a comeback.Williams would be sent off 2mins later for pulling down Ederson, King would double his account for the day on 76mins and thats how it stayed extra time lumming 3mins after the restart Ederson struck to give Reading the lead for the first time in the game and thats how it stayed until the end 3-2 final score Reading off to the Championship

Well the last 6 matches of the season have come quick for my Millwall side, and although i have only been in the job since October, i feel very happy with performance. After being in the bottom 3 when i took over i managed to save us and gave us abit of money in the bank. A few ups and downs along the way but we came through in the end.

Millwall v Sheff United Won 1-0 League

With us only needing 6 points to be sure of Championship football next season, we needed at least 3 points from this fixture. We managed a few chances in the opening minutes but couldnt score. Half time was approaching as we got a free kick on the edge of the area. up stepped jody Morris. Goal! A great free kick from 25 yards as the gk had no chance of saving it. Coming out in the 2nd half and i wanted us to keep it tight. Sheff Utd just seem to die as they posed little threat to us. We ran out 1-0 easy winners.

Millwall v Wolverhampton Drew 1-1 League

A tough match today as we came up against promotion hopefuls Wolves. They took the lead just before half time as Cole sneaked the goal past the keeper. We didnt leave it long after the half time break as Hjartarson scored after just 25 from the whistle. The game finished 1-1 which i was very pleased with.

Norwich v Millwall Lost 2-0 League

We needed a win today as it would definately mean we were safe. With being a few points ahead of norwich it was a must win for both teams. Norwich took the lead on 12 minutes as Lunt tapped the ball into the net. We just couldnt get going and went into the break 1-0 down. Nothing much changed in the second half as Norwich took over again. They sealed the match on 59 minutes as Lunt got his 2nd of the game. That win for norwich pretty muched saved them from the drop.

Millwall v QPR Won 2-1 League

Another tough match today as we entertained QPR in a derby match. pride was at stake for us today whereas QPR need the points to secure a play off spot. The first half was a little slow but we grabbed a late goal in the 45th minute. Serioux struck one of the sweetest freekicks into the top of the net to make it 1-0. A great goal. Second half was a little more open. Both teams had chances to win it but we took advantage of it on 75 minutes. Sikora Dribbled the ball down the right and got near the touchline where he shot from a very accute angle to put the ball into the net. A great goal which must of sealed it. QPR grabbed a goal back on 78 minutes which made the last 12 minutes very tense. We held on though and won 2-1. A great win and our fans were very happy with beating their Rivals.

Plymouth v Millwall Lost 3-2 League

We had the chance to make life hard for Plymouth today as they were only 3 points off relegation. If we won today then they had to win their last match to be sure to stay up. Plymouth took the lead on 45 minutes with a good goal by Lupoli. The 2nd half saw a few goals. 66 minutes in and Hjartarson equalised with a great goal. We couldnt hold on for long enough as Plymouth went ahead again on 71 minutes from a Milne goal. Teever wasnt to be outdone though as he grabbed our 2nd equaliser just 2 minutes later to take his tally of goals to 11 for the season and a new Millwall Record. We kept it tight until the last minute of normal time. Plymouth took advantage of our moment of disagreement at the back as Lasley put the ball into the net to make it 3-2. Once again we saved a team from the drop.

Millwall v Portsmouth Lost 4-0 League

Well this wasnt they way i wanted our season to end. With nothng to play for for both teams as Portsmouth were crowned champions several games ago and we had secured our league position i wanted us to have a good game to send our fans off for the summer. This plan didnt go down to well as Portsmouth took the lead on 18 minutes as Stefanovic struck a great free kick into the net. They doubled their lead just 3 minutes later as Lua Lua showed his pace and put the ball into the net. Stefanovic scored his 2nd on 40 minutes as he struck another great freekick past Kuszczak. A terrible first half for us. Thompson completed the rout on 70 minutes.

And thats our season finished. I am quite happy with our performance and happy we are still in this division. Hopefully the board can give me abit of money to bring n a few extra players to help with my push for a better league position next season. I will be hoping for a better position than the 18th we got this season and hopefully winning a few more games.

Id like to welcome my new rival into the league Mr Rob Perry. Hopefully the games between Millwall and Reading can be entertaining games.

as cheese on toast said the other banners were deleated and he decided to make his own, so he had taken a banner from the web site ...so what at least the clan has banners to make it more of a all round good feel to the clan . you go on other clans and they dont have the pics.

we started this game without many importent players becuse of injuries (bruno gama ,reece jones,holberg,lennon)

after 2 minutes partridge scores 0-1 ,the goal was scored after a great team play.after 20 minutes carboni sends a great ball to partridge who scores 0-2.after that we had some more good chances but zequinha and partridge missed.

in the 72nd minute zequinha and peterscu subed becuase of small injuries.

this game was very importent to both teams .for blackpool ,we were now 6th place and trying to keep the playoff spot ,for rouchie's team it was importent as they were 3rd and trying to reach 2nd to get automatic promotion .

after 15 minutes a nice attack on the right resualting in a goal for hartlepool ,agbonlahor was the scorer.both teams missed some chances before ht.in the 53rd minute doyle makes it 0-2 and closes the game.the better team wins the game .

after 23 minutes hodges made it 1-0 .from there the game was very poor ,3 shots for me ,2 shots for them they win 1-0 ,and my chances to get to the playoffs are very slim .

first half didnt see much chances,mostly the ball was in midfield .in second half the fans waked the team up ,and we started it with lots of pressure .partridge ,haugen and peterscu missed lots of good chances .in the 66th minute the fans went wild as holberg got his foot just before the keeper to score .1-0

then peterscu misses another great chance ,and when you dont score you recive.in the 75th minute they score on there first attack in the second half by webber .we had some more chances but 1-1 ft.

and it looks like an impossible mission to get to the playoffs ,we need 3 points agianst cardiff and to hope that rotherham loose there game.

well before the game i got a telphone from hartlepool's manger paul rouch saying that if i win this game and they pass cardiff he will give me 200k for it

cardiff had some good chances but missed them .then in the 21st minute hart scores 1-0 .

gama hits the crossbar in the 35th minute .not much chances after that.in the 85th minute haugen recives his second yellow just 5 minutes after his first yellow and he is sent off.in the 90th minute peterscu makes it 1-1 with 10 men ,a little too late .

we missed the playoffs by 3 points .

hope for better luck next year .

The Owls Observer - Premiership status is secured with some to spare!!!

People had written the Owls off from before the season had begun with many thinking it would only be a matter of time before they were sent back to the Championship. In fact the owls did better than their own manager expected them to do so all credit goes tot he players. Here is a rundown of the final games of the season...

Sheffield Wednesday v Middlesboro - (H) - 1-1

Yet another full house inside Hillsborough to witness another poor Owls performance as Boro should won of this easily but David Lucas was again the hero with fine save after fine save to keep the Owls in the game. They did take the lead after only nineteen minutes when Ryan Smith burst through and fired into the top corner. They had started the match quite well but after Smith opened the scoring it was all Middlesboro and it was only a matter of time before they equalised. It took them a while but Mendieta finally got the equaliser for Boro but had to settle for a share of the points as the Owls stood firm.

LIverpool v Sheffield Wednesday - (A) - 3-0 Defeat

As one sided a game as you will see all season as Liverpool tore a poor Wednesday side to shreds. The Owls looked exhausted as they were chasing shadows for most of the game. Jenas, Gallas and Nano got the goals for Liverpool and it could have been a lot more but for some fabulous goalkeeping from David Lucas.

Blackburn v Sheffield Wednesday - (A) - 1-1

An even encounter as both teams had to settle for a point. Sheffield Wednesday should have capitalised on the fact that Blackburn got reduced to 10 men for 45 minutes but could not find a winner. Blackburn took an early lead through Ivica Olic but Mokoena scored a superb equaliser after a cut back from Harbuzi. A draw was a fair result in the end.

Southampton v Sheffield Wednesday - (A) - 3-0 Defeat

The Owls players will be glad to see the back of this game as they didn't turn up. Southampton dominated this game from the first whistle to the last whistle. It was a truely shocking performance from the Owls and Hepburn was fuming as his players came of the pitch at half time and then full time. He could be seen shouting at his players from Sky TV pictures and it was the first time he had been that critical of his players for quite some time.

Sheffield Wednesday v Aston Villa - (H) - 1-1

Still no win but a much better performance from the Owls. It was a game of few chances and a scrap inside the Villa penalty area led to the opener via an own goal from Liam Ridgewell. In a rare foray forward Villa managed to grab an equaliser through Peter Whittingham and the game ended with no real chances for either side to score a winner.

Fulham v Sheffield Wednesday - (A) - 2-1 Win for the Owls

In the final game of the season the Owls finally managed to pull off a victory for the first time in a while. It was a pretty end to end game with both sides having secured their status to they were free to play some free flowing football and to entertain the fans. Mokoena opened the scoring after thirty five minutes and Stewart Downing playing his last game before his loan move ends grabbed the second goal. Fulham did have their fair share of chances but the Owls defence was only breached once when Claus Jensen latched onto a through ball and slotted it past Lucas in the Owls goal. So a win to end the season on a high note and the fans were looking forward to next season.

It has been a rollercoaster season for the Owls with some great wins at home against Arsenal and Newcastle and a great run in the League Cup leading to a final appearance where Arsenal proved how good they really are. Witht he amount of money Hepburn has been given he has done a tremendous job in keeping the Owls in the Premiership and finishing so highly. So it is onto pre season where Hepburn will surely be given a huge transfer kitty to improve the squad that is in dire need of a face lift. The fans will also be throwing their weight behind the notion of the board giving Hepburn a huge sum of money after everything he has done for the club. So it is onto the new season for the Owls and things are looking good for the Owls.

The Hartlepool Chairman, Ken Hodcroft thanked the departing manager for his work and wished him every success in the future with the canaries. Norwich Chairperson Delia screamed "Cmon rouchie, lets be 'aving you!!"
