Titties Update

So time to move on from the poor performances of last session and hope for some improvement, starting with and away game against Ipswich.

Ipswich 2 Bristol City 1

A few changes to the team for the start of this session, most notably goalkeeper Phillips is replaced be Al-Habsi after his recent poor performances. But perhaps it was a bad idea as after only 7 minutes he is penalised for a push in the box and gives away a penalty, which Ipswich score to make it 1-0. Before half time they add another. Very dissapointing. And the titties fail to show any great fight back. We do however gain a consolation goal in injury time through Peter Kopteff, another addition to the team. As per usual nobody really shone in this match, pretty poor.

So a dissapointing defeat there and now its on to Steff's Preston, with his ass man taking control.

Bristol City 3 Preston 1

Despite Preston's drop in form since the start of the season the bookies are still making them 6-4 favourites to win this game. But the titties are not accepting this and they go for the win with Danny Fonseca striking a stunning long shot after only 4 minutes, 1-0. The titteis remain in total control for the rest of the game but it takes until the second half and 3 minutes in before they can add to their tally. Once again the goal comes from a long shot this time it goes in off the post from Steffan Hofmann. Preston are able to keep the game exciting by grabbing a goal of their own after 75 minutes. But the titties were able to seal the victory with a late goal from striker Jonathan Grounds. A break away attack saw Grounds in front of goal with a simple chance. So a 3-1 win for the titties and a half decent performance for once. Danny Fonseca in particular was outstanding and won the man of the match award.

After that game Danny Fonseca won another award for his fantastic strike against Preston. Goal of the Month.

But for now its on to third place Millwall away.

Millwall 1 Bristol City 3

Once again the titties go out looking for an early win and its Pisculichi who grabs the first after only 4 minutes as a goalkeeping error gifts Pisculichi with a goal. 4 minutes later the same again as a shot is saved only as far as Pisculichi who slots into the empty net. Against the run of play Millwall are able to pull one back after 25 minutes, but its not too much for the titties. Into the second half and the magnificent Pisculichi grabs his hattrick once again through a goalkeeping error. So a fantastic win for the titties and Pisculichi shows the form that he started with, man of the match for him.

So a good performance and win against a 3rd place team, maybe things are looking good for the titties. And now against Swansea at home, sitting in 19th place surely a win for the titties.

Bristol City 0 Swansea 1

Disastrous game for the titties. 28 minutes and Swansea are in front, after that the titties just can't fnd their way back into the game. Swansea goalkeeper gains man of the match for keeping the titties out.

Terrible, just terrible.

Bristol City 1 Bolton 1

So yet again we come up against the 3rd place team, this time its Bolton. And in the first half the titties are all over them, with more than 10 shots flying in, but it takes until the 43rd minute before Roland Linz can make it 1-0. And it came from a bit of luck after his long shot trickled past the keeper and into the far corner. Into the second half and Bolton start to make it back into the game and finally grab the equaliser after 50 minutes. A slightly mixed performance today, with a good first half display but poor in the second half. Pisculichi wins the Man of the Match award for his assist.

League Position

| -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------|

| 13th | | Leicester | | 18 | 6 | 8 | 4 | 19 | 14 | +5 | 26 |

| 15th | | Bristol C | | 18 | 6 | 5 | 7 | 22 | 17 | +5 | 23 |

| -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------|

| 16th | | Swansea | | 18 | 6 | 5 | 7 | 19 | 21 | -2 | 23 |

| -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------|

| 17th | | Q.P.R. | | 18 | 6 | 4 | 8 | 20 | 21 | -1 | 22 |

| -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------|

Top Goalscorer

With his hattrick against Millwall, Pisculichi is this sessions top scorer.

Top Assists

Again Pisculichi shows his worth with 3 assists.

Player of the Session

This was a tight one with Danny Fonseca playing well and scoring the goal of the month. But the real player of the session has to be Pisculichi for his 2 man of the match awards, 3 goals, and 3 assists.

The Fulham Festivities - Stirring stuff at the cottage!!!!

Fulham are on a superb run of form right now that has seen them maintain their push for the Premiership and progression in the illustrious champions league. here is a rundown of the latest games in Fulham's season......

Champions League - Group E

Fulham v Paris St Germain - (H) 28th October 2009

After a great start at home to PSG the referee spoiled this game by sending off Kevin Hofland after only half an hour of this contest. The game had been going well for Fulham as chances were created but they could not find a way through. After the sending off PSG had Fulham on the back foot for most of the game although Vonlanthen had Fulham in front but PSG equalised almost immediately. They went on in the second half to dominate the game and got the all important second goal to put this tie beyond Fulham who had worked so hard they could not muster enough energy to mount a comeback. Hepburn refused to shake the referee's hand at the of the game and heavily critised his performance in the post match interview and will surely face a uefa rap for his comments.

Final Score - Fulham 1 v 2 Paris St Germain

Goals - Fulham - Vonlanthen (39)

Goals - PSG - Ljubja (40), Ogbeche (76)

Att - 27773

MOM - Jermiane Pennant (Fulham)

Premierhsip

Birmingham v Fulham - (A) 31st October 2009

It was back to the Premiership for Fulham after their disappointment in mid week. They faced Birmingham at St Andrews and hoped to get back to winning ways. It was a game Fulham dominated and Hepburn felt the scoreline should have been far greater. Brum could not get near Fulham and Maresca was in particularly good form as he has been all season, pulling the strings in the middle of the pitch and set up chance after chance but no one was able to put the ball in the back of the net for long spells. Vonlanthen opened the scoring early for Fulham but they could not get another till the second half when Maresca smashed the ball home from twenty five yards. Birmingham showed nothing in attack and seemed content defending deep and keeping the score down. Good performance here from Fulham without being outstanding but they did not have to be in the end.

Final Score - Birmingham 0 v 2 Fulham

Goals - Fulham - Vonlanthen (14), Maresca (52)

Att - 28699

MOM - Enzo Maresca (Fulham)

Premiership

Fulham v Arsenal - (H) 14th November 2009

A huge game this one as the Gunners came to the Cottage. This fixture last season was proabably the best Fulham performance of the season and Hepburn was looking for something similar this season if they wanted to get closer to the likes of Arsenal and Man Utd. They started the game poorly and the Gunenrs quickly took control of the game and after early pressure took the lead when Toure bulleted home a header from a corner. The Gunners looked really up for this game and went in search of more goals and Fulham were holding on at this point and half time could not come soon enough for Hepburn and his men to regroup. In the second half Fulham looked a different team and had Arsenal under some pressure but Shay given produced two world class saves to keep Fulham out. Arsenal seemed content to let Fulham have the ball and held firm to go away with three points.

Final Score - Fulham 0 v 1 Arsenal

Goals - Arsenal - Toure (18)

Att - 29990

MOM - Jerzy Dudek (Fulham)

Champions League - Group E

Rosenborg v Fulham - (A) 17th November 2009

Fulham had no time to dwell on poor performances as the big games were coming thick and fast for them. Hepburn and his men travelled to Norway to meet Rosenborg who were desperate to avenge their humilating loss in the first group game between the two at Craven Cottage. It did not start well for the Norweigans as Muntari had Fulham ahead inside two minutes and from there Fulham never looked back. They defended well and never gave the Rosenborg strikers a chance as well as creating a few half chances that were not snapped up. Claus jensen made it two for Fulham to really knock the stuffing and fight out of Rosenborg and the second half was a real non event from then on much to the delight of Hepburn.

Final Score - Rosenborg 0 v 2 Fulham

Goals - Fulham - Muntari (2), Jensen (49)

Att - 20154

MOM[/b} - Claus Jensen (Fulham)

Premiership

Everton v Fulham - (A) 21st November 2009

Fulham, back to winning ways faced a trip to Goodison against a struggling Everton side desperate for points. Fulham got off to a great start with Anelka firing them in front after only seven minutes and Fulham should have went on to win this easily scoring a few more goals in the process. The score line should have been far greater but Anelka's shooting boots seemed to disappear from him as her passed chance after chance. Richard Wright made a few good saves to keep Everton in the game as well but Hepburn could not believe they passed up so many opportunities and may have had a few choice words with Anelka after the game. A 1-0 lead is always slender but Fulham defended well and limited Everton to longe range efforts they were never likely to score from.

Final Score - Everton 0 v 1 Fulham

Goals - Fulham - Anelka (7)

Att - 35552

MOM - Zatyiah Knight (Fulham)

Premiership

Fulham v Chelsea - (H) 29th November 2009

What a fantastic performance this was from Fulham. It was another huge game and this time they started off well and never let Chelsea get into the game and start dictating the pace of the game. They made there pressure count and van der Vaart turned in an absolutely breathtaking performance. He scored a brilliant double and covered every blade of grass at the Cottage. Sandwiched in between his double Bocanegra scored his first goal of the season. Every part of the Fulham team worked well and as a unit and stopped Chelsea from playing their game. It was superb stuff and the fans were loving every minute of this victory. The victory may give Fulham the self belief that they belong in amongst the likes of Chelsea, Arsenal, Man Utd and Liverpool.

Final Score - Fulham 3 v 0 Chelsea

Goals - Fulham - van der Vaart (19, 75), Bocanegra (32)

Att - 29980

MOM - Stephen Pearson (Fulham)

Champions League - Group E

Fulham v CSKA Moscow - (H) 2nd December 2009

With qualfication already secured Hepburn tried experimenting by leaving several of his big name stars on the bench or not even in the squad. They started well enough but the new look defence started to crumble at the slightest hint of pressure. Two goals in five minutes left Fulham in shock and new signing Patrick Flynn must take most of the blame. He was taken off and suddenly Fulham looked a lot better all over the pitch. They could not find a way past a stubborn CSKA defence, buoyed by their two goal lead. Ten minutes to go Essien grabbed one back to set up a grandstand finish but CSKA held on for the victory. So it meant Fulham finished as runners up in Group E behind PSG and they face one of the group winners that Hepburn was not too thrilled about.

Final Score - Fulham 1 v 2 CSKA Moscow

Goals - Fulham - Essien (80)

Goals - CSKA Moscow - Polyakov (24, pen 29)

Att - 26028

MOM - Stephen Pearson (Fulham)

So it has been an interesting period for Fulham as they are back in the title hunt in the Premiership and at the first time of asking have made it to the knockout stages of the Champions League where they await the draw.

The Fulham Festivities – The goals are drying up for Fulham!!!!!

It has been an indifferent part the season these past few games as the Fulham strikeforce seem to be having more off days than on days at the moment. It has cost Fulham a few points recently and their chances of the Premiership title are slipping away each point they drop. Here is a rundown of Fulham’s latest games.....

Premiership

Man City v Fulham – (A) 5th December 2009

Fulham were back to full strength as they visited the City of Manchester to take a on an in form City side. Fulham were looking to avenge their humiliation in the Carling Cup earlier in the season. They started off brightly and were two goals up within ten minutes and City were shell shocked. Anelka put them ahead within a minute and van der Vaart put them two ahead inside ten. City came right back at Fulham much to their credit as created a few chances but Dudek was in fine form to deny them. It was end to end stuff as Fulham would go and create a chance and then City would go down the other end and create a chance. Dennis Rommedahl pulled a goal back for City on the half hour mark and this gave City newfound belief that they could get back into the game. Fulham were toiling in front of goal as Anelka missed a few glorious opportunities to put Fulham further ahead. It was a great first half of football. It was more of the same in the second half and City pulled level with twenty minutes left on the clock through Holm and from then on it was all Fulham. Hepburn could not believe some of the defending that his team were doing. In the end Fulham could not find a winner and two points dropped and Hepburn was not happy especially with his defence.

Final Score – Man City 2 v 2 Fulham

Goals – Man City – Rommedahl (28), Holm (69)

Goals – Fulham – Anelka (1), van der Vaart (10)

Att – 43218

MOM – Stephen Pearson (Fulham)

Premiership

Fulham v Newcastle – (H) 12th December 2009

At times during this game Hepburn thought a goal was never going to come but in the end their pressure paid off and they ended winning comfortably. It was constant Fulham pressure and if it was not for Franco in the Newcastle goal it could have been a lot more. He pulled off some world class saves at vital times but in the end it was not enough. Maresca opened the scoring with twenty minutes to go via the penalty spot after Vonlanthen was pulled down in the box. Then a double from Essien in the space of seven minutes sealed the game and capped off an impressive performance from Fulham. They left it late but in the end ran out comfortable winners and Vonlanthen’s form was giving Hepburn cause for concern as yet again he did not score.

Final Score – Fulham 3 v 0 Newcastle

Goals – Fulham - Maresca (pen, 70), Essien (75, 83)

Att – 29021

MOM – Shunsuke Nakamura (Fulham)

Premiership

Portsmouth v Fulham – (A) 16th December 2009

Who would be a football manager?? From winning quite easily at home to Newcastle they travelled to Portsmouth and drew a game that should have been won very easily. They had enough chances to win this game twice over and Hepburn was left bemused as to how his team dropped two vital points. Chances were created at will but no one seemed capable of putting the ball in the back of the net. Vonlanthen produced another poor display and he was rightly taken off but his replacement Anelka did not do much better. Even the normally reliable van der Vaart could not find the target. It was a poor poor performance in terms of finishing for Fulham and they may look back upon this result as vital dropped points as they push for a Champions League place or even the Premiership title.

Final Score - Portsmouth 0 v 0 Fulham

Att - 35933

MOM - Shunsuke Nakamura (Fulham)

Premiership

Southampton v Fulham – (A) 19th December 2009

Fulham travelled to the south coast to take on Southampton and looking for a much better result than previously. For large parts of this match Fulham seemed unable to score goals with Vonlanthen not scoring again but he put in a great performance. A goal did come however through van der Vaart midway through the second half to secure the points for Fulham. The Saints keeper pulled off some terrific saves to keep Fulham out but they eventually got the breakthrough. The Saints offered nothing in attack but that was mainly due to Fulham’s impressive build up and overall performance.

Final Score – Southampton 0 v 1 Fulham

Goals – Fulham – van der Vaart (66)

Att – 30192

MOM – Enzo Maresca (Fulham)

Premiership

Fulham v Liverpool – (H) 23rd December 2009

Outplayed. Out thought and just about everything else. Fulham had no answer in this game as Liverpool swept them aside with some brilliant football and a determination to win. Fulham just could not get going and when Hepburn tried to change the tactics that did not work either. It was one of those matches where Liverpool could beat anyone that were put in front of them, as they were that good. In saying that Fulham created some brilliant openings but Kirkland produced some world class saves to keep them out.

Final Score – Fulham 0 v 1 Liverpool

Goals – Liverpool – Kewell (5)

Att – 29940

MOM – Chris Kirkland (Liverpool)

Premiership

Fulham v Charlton – (H) 26th December 2009

It shows just how long Fulham have come along after the defeat against Liverpool they bounce straight back and pick up a win in their very next game against a tough Charlton side who battle and battle throughout a game to earn a result. They battled well in this game and created some good chances but Enckelman in the Fulham goal produced some good saves to keep them out. Fulham dominated most of the game and were ahead inside fifteen minutes through Essien. Fulham had to wait until the last fifteen minutes before they had this game in the bag when Bouma scored Fulham’s second and then Anelka put the icing on the cake with a third right on full time. It was an impressive performance from Fulham to get back to winning ways.

Final Score – Fulham 3 v 0 Charlton

Goals – Fulham – Essien (12), Bouma (77), Anelka (90)

Att – 29985

MOM – Claus Jensen (Fulham)

Premiership

Aston Villa v Fulham – (A) 29th December 2009

Following the confidence boosting win at home to Charlton it was off to Villa Park where they faced an always tough to beat Villa side looking for points as they looked to push up the league in search for a European spot. Fulham knew what they were up against and produced a fine display and came away with the three points. It was an entertaining game with both sides going at each other from the start. Fulham struck first through the first of Anelka’s two goals. At the start of the second half Scott Parker equalised for Villa as he caught the Fulham defence napping. Leonardo Ponzio restored Fulham’s lead with his first goal for the club and what a goal it was too. Fulham’s defensive frailties came back to haunt them a second time as Villa equalised again and Hepburn thought this was going to be another set back but his team proved him wrong!!! Two goals in the last three minutes gave Fulham the win. Firstly a cross from Nakamura was met at the back post by new signing Kalou on the volley to put Fulham ahead and then Anelka sealed the win with a fourth. A great win for Fulham that kept them in touch with the leaders.

Final Score – Aston Villa 2 v 4 Fulham

Goals – Aston Villa – Parker (46), Ono (71)

Goals – Fulham – Anelka (36, 90), Ponzio (69), Kalou (87)

Att – 39601

MOM – Nicolas Anelka (Fulham)

FA Cup 3rd Round

Swansea v Fulham – (A) 2nd January 2010

A nice distraction here as the FA Cup got under way properly as the big boys entered the competition for the first time at the third round stage. Fulham were drawn against Championship side Swansea and it saw the debut of new £16 million signing Pazzini who was on the lookout for goals. Fulham did not rest any of their big names as they were looking to go far in this competition this year. Swansea were full of enthusiasm and fight as they wanted to put on a great show against Premiership opposition. They showed a willingness to attack Fulham at any opportunity and they troubled Fulham at times but Enckelman was in top form to keep Swansea out. Fulham dominated most of the game and could have scored a few more goals but Hepburn was just happy to get into the next round. Pazzini had a good debut and got on the scoresheet in the first half with Fulham’s second goal. Essien had put Fulham ahead after only five minutes. The second half Fulham seemed content in passing and retaining possession as well creating a few chances due to their exceptional movement but a third goal never came. Hepburn was pleased his new signing Pazzini got off the mark for Fulham so quickly and was sure it would help him settle into his new surroundings.

Final Score – Swansea 0 v 2 Fulham

Goals – Fulham – Essien (5), Pazzini (34)

Att – 17851

MOM – Shunsuke Nakamura

Premiership

Fulham v Tottenham – (H) 6th January 2010

After a good win in the cup at the weekend it was back to the Premiership as Fulham faced London rivals Tottenham in another must win game for Fulham is they looked to get closer to Utd and Arsenal at the top. The star of this game was the Tottenham keeper who produced save after save to deny Fulham time and time again. Fulham threw everything but the kitchen sink at him for almost ninety minutes but he saved absolutely everything. Tottenham with their only attack in the whole game went up the pitch and silenced the home crowd to take the lead early in the second half. It was looking like a shock defeat for Fulham until injury time when a corner from Nakamura was not dealt with a Pazzini on his Premiership debut bundled the ball home for the equaliser. Hepburn was delighted with the equaliser but shocked his team had not walked away with an easy three points. It is these dropped points that will probably cost Fulham any chance of winning the title this year.

Final Score – Fulham 1 v 1 Tottenham

Goals – Fulham – Pazzini (90)

Goals – Tottenham – Olic (49)

MOM – Roman Weidenfeller (Tottenham)

Liverpool v Fulham – (A) 10th January 2010

Hepburn was not looking forward to this game as he had seen this Liverpool side destroy his team at Craven Cottage only a few weeks ago. Fulham went out looking for revenge and immediately got stuck in and did not allow Liverpool to settle at all. Fulham took the lead through Maresca who hit a superb drive from the edge of the area. It got even better for Fulham only nine minutes later as Kalou scored number two and sent the fans wild. Hepburn could not believe the start his team had made. Fulham rode their luck at times but it was about time they got some luck after the silly dropped points in previous games. They had further chances to increase their lead but could not take them. It was unbelievable stuff and the kop fell silent at times, as even they could not believe what they were seeing. Fulham defended superbly well and in the end deserved the three points.

Final Score – Liverpool 0 v 2 Fulham

Goals – Fulham – Maresca (9), Kalou (18)

Att – 54515

FA Cup 4th Round

Fulham v Wolves – (H) 16th January 2010

Fulham had been drawn against their bogey team Wolves whom they had not beaten since Hepburn took over as Fulham manager. It was all out attack from Fulham and they had Wolves defending for their lives at times such was their dominance. In previous games the Wolves keeper had been a real thorn to Hepburn but not this time. Pazzini was the star of the show and grabbed two goals and gave Hepburn his first win against Wolves. It could have been more but yet again the Wolves keeper denied them from adding to their lead. Hepburn was just pleased to overcome this side and look forwarded to their visit back to the Cottage next week for their league game.

Final Score – Fulham 2 v 0 Wolves

Goals – Fulham – Pazzini (30, 41)

Att – 22847

MOM – Shunsuke Nakamura (Fulham)

Premiership

Fulham v Wolves – (H) 23rd January 2010

So it was back to the Cottage for a rematch for Wolves and it was back to the same old story. The Wolves keeper was back to his brilliant best to deny Fulham time after time. Wolves scored from their only attack in the whole match to silence the home support in only three minutes and the fans were wondering if this was going to be another one of those days. Unfortunately it was for Fulham although they got the equaliser in the second half through Pazzini they could not find a winner and it was yet more silly points dropped for Fulham.

Final Score – Fulham 1 v 1 Wolves

Goals – Fulham – Pazzini (60)

Goals – Wolves – Kranjcar (3)

Att – 23980

MOM – Shunsuke Nakamura (Fulham)

Sunderland v Fulham – (A) 30th January 2010

Hepburn must be wondering what he has to do with this team. At times this season they have found real difficulty in scoring goals and at other times they are scoring for fun. In this game it was the latter as they ran out easy winners against a struggling Sunderland side. For all their hard work they could not find a goal in the first half but in the second half they finally found their shooting boots. It was Rafael van der Vaart who got number one and this was followed by goals from Muntari and Pazzini. A superb display from Fulham as they keep their mini unbeaten run going as we head to towards the business end of the season where every point matters.

Final Score – Sunderland 0 v 3 Fulham

Goals – Fulham – van der Vaart (64), Muntari (74), Pazzini (88)

Att – 28032

MOM – Jermaine Pennant (Fulham)

So as we approach a really important part in the season for Fulham as their Champions League campaign gets back into action plus important league and cup games domestically lets hope they can sustain this good run of form. With new signing Pazzini looking to be hitting form almost straight away things are looking good for Fulham right now. The title maybe out of their reach now but they can still give it their best shot you never know what can happen in football!!!!

The Fulham Festivities – Dropped points cost Fulham dear!!!!!!!!!!!!!

As we now approach the season run in Fulham have become very inconsistent and are dropping points left right and centre especially at Craven Cottage that was once a fortress but this season they have not been able to put away teams. Hepburn is frustrated and so are the fans and it looks like it may cost them a spot in next season’s champions league as they lie in fifth position four points behind Chelsea who also have a game in hand over Fulham as well. A season that had so much promise at one point has failed to materialise due to recent results and one must hope Chelsea drop points or it will be UEFA Cup football for Fulham next season. Here is a run down of the latest games for Fulham…….

Premiership

Fulham v Middlesbrough – (H) 6th February 2010

Yet more dropped points at home for Fulham as the Boro keeper produced a top class performance to deny Fulham all three points. Fulham had all the possession and dominated most of the game but were unable to score much to the disappointment of manager Hepburn. Pazzini had chances, van der Vaart had chances and Ponzio had chances but the Boro keeper was just too good on the day for Fulham.

Final Score – Fulham 0 v 0 Middlesbrough

Att – 26443

MOM – Stepe Pletikosa (Middlesbrough)

FA Cup 5th Round

Fulham v Wigan – (H) 13th February

It was back to the cup and a welcome distraction for Fulham as Hepburn has stated the FA Cup was one of his team’s priorities this season. They went about their business and at times passed Wigan off the pitch in yet another dominating performance. They had all the possession and all the chances and it could have been a cricket score in all honesty. A first half goal from Rafael van der Vaart and a second half goal from Pazzini were enough though to see Fulham safely through to the quarter finals.

Final Score – Fulham 2 v 0 Wigan

Goals – Fulham – van der Vaart (32), Pazzini (71)

Att – 21774

MOM – Sulley Ali Muntari (Fulham)

Champions League 1st Knockout Round 1st Leg

Man Utd v Fulham – (A) 17th February 2010

It was billed as the biggest game in Fulham’s history and it was but on the night Utd were just far too good for a battling Fulham side. Due to a terrible performance in the last group game Fulham faced current European champions and Premiership champions Man Utd. It was one way traffic most of the night and three quick fire world class finishes in the first half hour put this tie out of Fulham’s reach. Wayne Rooney scored two thirty yarders and Santa Cruz scored an unbelievable goal to put Utd firmly in the driving seat. Fulham did not know what had hit them and were chasing shadows most of the night. It could have been worse for Fulham as Enckelman had to pull off some superb saves to keep this scoreline respectable. With their first real attack of the night Fulham somehow managed to pull a goal back through Essien to give Fulham that little bit of hope for the return leg but in truth Fulham were outclassed by a Utd side showing they are not giving up their trophy easily.

Final Score – Man Utd 3 v 1 Fulham

Goals - Man Utd – Rooney (12, 27). Santa Cruz (17)

Goals – Fulham – Essien (58)

Att – 66938

MOM – Roque Santa Cruz (Man Utd)

Sheffield Wednesday v Fulham – (A) 27th February 2010

After that defeat in the champions league Hepburn’s Fulham faced a trip to Hillsborough to take on Sheffield Wednesday. As always Hepburn received his usual barracking from some of the Owls fans who decided to throw objects at the team bus as it drove into the stadium. Hepburn then had to get a police escort inside the stadium to protect him from bitter Owls fans still trying to have a go at him. The game itself as always when these two meet was an easy win for Fulham. It should have been a lot more than the 1-0 scoreline suggests but Hepburn was just happy to get the three points. Hepburn thought a goal was never going to come till up stepped Pazzini to score a header in the ninetieth minute of the game. Hepburn rushed out of his dugout to celebrate with his team that almost sparked a riot with fans showering the dugout with objects and it all turned a little nasty at the end as the Fulham players came off the pitch. There was some generous applause from the home support for Hepburn as he came off the pitch but the FA will certainly be looking into the conduct of the home fans for the objects thrown in Hepburn’s direction. A good performance from Fulham that sets them up for the almighty task that lies ahead of them on Wednesday night in the champions league.

Final Score – Sheffield Wednesday 0 v 1 Fulham

Goals – Fulham – Pazzini (90)

Att – 32567

MOM – Leonardo Ponzio (Fulham)

Champions League 1st Knockout Round 2nd Leg

Fulham v Man Utd – (H) 3rd March 2010

There was full house inside the Cottage for this one as Fulham attempted to do the great escape and beat man Utd and progress through to the quarter finals of the champions league. It was a huge ask for Fulham to achieve this but Hepburn fancied his team’s chances if they played to the very best of their ability. With the crowd right behind them Fulham started off really well and had Utd under pressure but could not break down their defence. In thirty six minutes the Cottage exploded into life as Pazzini fired Fulham ahead and everyone thought the dream was on. In the second half the Fulham fans were roaring their team on as they believed they were about to witness something special until who else but Wayne Rooney popped up with the goal that broke Fulham’s hearts to level it at one a piece. The stadium fell silent with the realisation that the dream was indeed all but over. Utd held firm for the rest of the game and deservedly went through to the quarter finals. The fans applauded their team off the pitch, as they had put up a great effort but not quite enough. Utd were professional and showed exactly why they are one of the best team’s in Europe and holders of the champions league. This game had left Hepburn craving for more champions league football at the Cottage next season and said his team would do their up most to make it happen for the fans who sung their hearts out for them tonight.

Final Score – Fulham 1 v 1 Man Utd (Utd win 4-2 on agg)

Goals – Fulham – Pazzini (36)

Goals – Man Utd – Rooney (64)

Att – 29995

MOM – Shunsuke Nakamura (Fulham)

FA Cup 6th Round

Fulham v Blackburn – (H) 6th March 2010

Fulham suffered somewhat of a European hangover as they faced Blackburn in the FA Cup quarter finals. The players looked jaded and tired and Blackburn took full advantage and put them out of the FA Cup. Fulham were reduced to ten minute just before half time as Ponzio was sent off for two bookable offences to make life twice as hard for Fulham. By that time they were one down but in all honesty it could have been more. The second half saw Blackburn score a second and Fulham could not get going at all. Poor performance from Fulham, not helped by Ponzio’s stupid dismissal.

Final Score – Fulham 0 v 2 Blackburn

Goals – Blackburn – Beattie (16, 76)

Att – 28879

MOM – Paulo Ferreira (Blackburn)

Premiership

Fulham v Man Utd – (H) 10th March 2010

After that dismal display at home to Blackburn, the last team they wanted back at the Cottage was Man Utd who had put Fulham out of the champions league only a week ago. Hepburn really had to pick his players up and get them ready for another huge challenge against Utd in the league. The game was a tense tight affair with both team’s cancelling each other out for the most part with very few chances created by both teams. In fact nothing of real note happened at all apart from Santa Cruz getting injured.

Final Score – Fulham 0 v 0 Man Utd

Att – 29981

MOM – Andreas Hinkel (Fulham)

Premiership

Fulham v Blackburn – (H) 13th March 2010

It was like groundhog day all over for Fulham as they welcomed back Blackburn to Craven Cottage a week after Blackburn had beaten Fulham so easily to put them out the FA Cup. The only thing on Fulham’s mind was revenge to make up for their performance last week against them. What a performance it was from Fulham in particular the front two of Pazzini and Vonlanthen. It was an all action game, as Blackburn did not sit back and defend and attacked at every opportunity as did Fulham. Fulham got off to a great start and were two up inside twenty minutes and from then on never looked back. Pazzini grabbed a hat trick and Vonlanthen a double as they thrashed Blackburn to make up for the defeat last week. Hepburn had criticised his team in the past for not being clinical enough in front of goal but they made no mistakes in this game.

Final Score – Fulham 5 v 0 Blackburn

Goals – Fulham – Pazzini (5, 18, 71). Vonlanthen (37, 42)

Att – 28543

MOM – Gianpaolo Pazzini (Fulham)

It has been a difficult period for Fulham with so many big games in such a short space of time; it seems to have taken its toll on some of the players in the Fulham squad. On top of that there is the added pressure of the media and everything else and it just seems to have gotten to the players some of which are not used to this added pressure of playing big matches week in week in for high stakes. Hepburn says his players are learning all the time and has full faith in their abilities.

Titties Update

Shock News for the titties, read on to find out more. But for now we start with an away game against Cardiff.

Cardiff 2 Bristol City 2

The team line up for this game is pretty much the same as always but with Joe Brown taking the central midfield role. And he makes his mark after only 27 minutes with a spectacular free kick from the edge of the area into the far top corner. No more action in the first half though. 3 minutes into the second half and Brown strikes again after receiving a pass from Pisculichi. Things look to be going the titties way until the 73rd minute when some slack defending allows Hulse a free header which he powers home. 6 minutes later and Cardiff are awarded a penalty which the goalscorer steps up to take, but misses. It didn't matter though as more slack defending allowed Cardiff to equalise after 88 minutes, a disaster. A terrible display from the titties. However an encouraging performance from Joe Brown which earned him the man of the match award.

After some top performances this month Joe Brown is awarded with the Young Player of the Month Award.

The draw is made for the FA Cup 3rd round and the titties are paired with Everton at Ashton Gate.

Hull 2 Bristol City 2

Another away game now and another 2-2 draw, but this one goes differently. Its Hull who take the lead after only 18 minutes with a counter attack capped off with a stunning long range strike. Their lead only last 3 minutes however as Campbell is brought down in the area to win a penalty which Pisculichi calmly slots home. Into the 2nd half and after only 2 minutes Hull take the lead again with a great header. The titties don't give up though as Pisculichi makes a stunning run from his own half before chipping the ball over the keeper to pull level after 79 minutes. With his great performance Pisculichi is awarded the Man of the Match.

Bristol City 4 Crystal Palace 3

So its back to Ashton Gate now in the hope of securing 3 points. But things don't look good as Palace take the lead after only 6 minutes. But it only lasts for 4 minutes before the titties pull level again with Pisculichi taking a shot from just inside the area after a pass from Kopteff. The titties go in at half time 1 goal up after Peter Kopteff strikes a lovely free kick from just outside the area. Into the second half and the titties add to their lead throgh Danny Fonseca after 59 minutes. Yet again its Kopteff with the assist. Darren Duncan grabs titties ladst goal of the evening after 75 minutes with Joe Brown this time setting him up. Just as it looks like the titties will be taking all 3 points Palace start fighting back. 3 minutes to go and they make it 4-2. Then 3 minutes into injury time and they make it 4-3. But luckily for the titties the ref blows the whistle before palace are able to grab their 4th. Once again Pisculichi wins Mann of the match.

So finally a win for the titties and lets hope that will continue.

Gillingham 1 Bristol City 1

Another away game and hopefully we can add another 3 points to total. And the titties certainly try their best to get those points with shots flying in all over, however none of them hitting the back of the net until the 67th minute when Peter kopteff plays a nice little chip over the goalie. And thats all to report. Sol Campbell is awarded with the man o fthe match award.

Bristol City 0 Leeds 0

Not much ot report at all in this game with no goals. But the titties did have one dissallowed in the first half for a foul on the defender. All in all a boring game with Bristol looking the slightly better team. However the leeds goalie wins the man of the match award.

Coventry 1 Bristol City 2

The final away game of the session sees us take on Coventry in search of more points. And it was looking good after 14 minutes when the titties took the lead but the goal was ruled out by the referee. Then with 33 minutes on the clock Coventry take the lead with a lovely strike from outside the box. But their lead only lasts 10 minutes before Michael keen pulls the titties level with a nice finish after being set up by Pisculichi. Into the second half and Dave Bentley gives the titties the lead and the win. 2-1. Man of the Match is Micahel Keen.

A good win but star player Pisculichi is out injured for 3 weeks with a back strain.

Top Scorer

Leonardo Pisculichi is awarded with the top scorer award for this session with 3 goals.

Most Assists

This sessions top assister was Peter Kopteff with 2.

Player of the Session

A couple of players are up for the top player award, but I think it has to go to Joe Brown for his goals assists and consistent performances.

Now for the SHOCK NEWS:

With Aston Villa on the look out for a new manager Bristol City boss announces that he would love to change clubs and take over premiership Villa. This was said to infuriate the Titties board and fans alike. As well as making the villa fans laugh as they all agree that Johnston has no chance of getting such a high profile job. As a result of these comments Johnston is relieved of his duties at Ashton Gate and joins the out of work managers club. So I am now on the look out for a new job, can anyone lend me a quid.

? Update

Well with Johnston being shown the exit at Ashton gate he decides that he needs a break from football. And with no money he takes up extra shifts at the pub for a week, so no new club was joined during the remainder of the season. As a result Johnston retires from professional football to concentrate on his life as a pimp and drug dealer, which he is about as good at as he was a manager.

This is where the confusion comes in. With Johnston leaving football a space is left for another manager to come in and fill in his shoes. And its none other than Johnstons identical twin brother David Johnston who is appointed as new manager at Ashton Gate, so its out with the old and in with the new in a hope to inspire the Titties to more success.

Titties Update

Well with Johnston being fired mid-way through the season the titties were left with assistant manager Frank Seifert in charge to take us upwards. Going on previous record anybody would have thought that was a bad move, with Seifert not really proving himself in the times he was left in charge. But to everyones surprise he manages to turn things around for the titties and take them to 4th place in the league. A fantastic achievment. He also managed to raise a lot of money through the sale of young starlet Michael Keen for 4.5mil.

So with only 3 games left in the season David Johnston number 2 takes charge to finish the season hopefully on a high. His first game in charge sees the titties take on the mighty Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park.

Crystal Palace 1 Bristol City 2

A few faces missing from the titties squad since the Johnston 1 days, but still a relatively familiar looking lineup today. The game however gets off to a bad start for the titties with Palace taking the lead after 22 minutes through Rene Segers. This simply spurs the titties on and they begin to fight back before half time, but are unable to find the back of the net. Straight into the second half and the titties continue to press for the equaliser. And it finally comes after 67 minutes when Steven Fletcher advances on the keeper and slots into the near post. Pisculichi and Fletcher link up again 6 minutes later and Fletcher this time strikes it from the edge of the box into the far corner, 2-1. Despite some late pressure from Palace the titties are able to hang on to the 2-1 comeback for 3 points. Peter Kopteff is awarded the Man of the Match.

So Johnston 2 is able to keep the run going with a fantastic comeback thanks to sub. Fletcher's 2 goals. A playoff spot looks more than definite now for the titties.

Bristol City 2 Gillingham 0

The titties are looking to secure as high a finish as possible this season with a win against Gillingham. And it looks promissing after 39 minutes when they are awarded a penalty for a push on Fletcher. Pisculichi calmly steps up and converts the penalty for 1-0 at half time. 53 minutes gone and Pisculichi and Fletcher hook up once again to score a goal almost identical to Fletcher's 2nd in the last game. once again he recieves the pass and strikes from just inside the box and it finds the far corner of the net perfectly. So a 2-0 victory for the titties, and Peter Kopteff winning MotM once again. And only 1 game left and it looks like a 4th place finish will be on the cards.

West Brom 1 Bristol City 1

So the final game of the season and not much to play for as 4th place is pretty much guarenteed now for the titties, but they will still be going all out for the win. And it takes only 2 and a half minutes for Oliviera to take advantage of a defensive error and find himself one on one with the goalie and he takes his chance well to make it 1-0. A nightmare start to the first half for West Brom, and a nightmare end for the titties. Last kick of the ball and a nothing shot from well outside the box takes a wicked deflection and finds itself in the back of the net. So 1-1 at half time. Not much to report from the second half as both teams seem happy to accept the point. So a draw to end the season but enough to secure 4th place and a playoff game against Millwall, a team who lost both time to the titties in the league campaign.

So there we have it, another league campaign over with and the titties find themselves once again in with a good chance of promotion through the playoffs, starting with a semi-final against Millwall.

Final League Position: 4th

Championship Playoff Semi Final Leg 1

Millwall 0 Bristol City 3

The titties start with the away game and hope to secure a few away goals to take back to the gate. And with 27 minutes on the clock Peter Kopteff sets up Fletcher in front of goal and he slots it low past the keeper to make it 1-0 titties. Then with seconds to go until half time the titties are awarded a corner which Millwall fail to clear and Wayne Routledge pounces on the loose ball and strikes it furiously off the post and in for a 2-0 half time scoreline. So 2 away goals so far but the titties are looking to extend that. And with 72 minutes on the clock Thomson scores the titties 3rd with a shot from the edge of the area. And so the titties take a 3 goal lead back to the gate and Johnston is confident they will defend that to head to the playoff final.

Championship Playoff Semi Final Leg 2

Bristol City 0 Millwall 0

With the titties knowing they only need to defend their 3 goal lead they go into the game slightly more defensively minded. And despite the rather uninteresting game it pays off. Millwall are held for a nothing each draw which is more than enough to secure the titties a place in the playoff final. MotM was Bristol's Steffen Hofmann.

So on to the final of the playoffs now and the titties are only 1 game away from premiership football next season. The titties will face the 6th place team in the final and thats Stoke, after they convincingly beat Bolton in the other semi-final. Johnston is reportedly upset at this as during the season he has found it easier to beat Bolton, and having lost 2-0 the last time the titties played Stoke, Johnston is a little concerned.

Championship Playoff Final

Bristol City 0 Stoke 1

So here we are folks, the final of the 2009-2010 Championship playoffs at the mighty Wembley Stadium. Possibly the biggest game in the titties history, a win meaning they will be play their football next season against the likes of Arsenal, Man Utd, Chelsea, and of course the mighty Fulham. The bookies have made the titties 5-4 favourites for this one, not very convincing odds, but the titties are still considered to be the better team. And with a 12 game unbeaten run behind them you've got to fancy the titties for this. The titties field a full strength team for this game with the experienced Sol Campbell wearing the captains armband. A couple of names in the Stoke lineup will be familiar to the titties fans with striker Paul Heffernan on the bench and last years start Marcin Radzewicz on the wing.

So the game gets underway with both teams going all out for the win, and its the titties who edge the first half with almost double the number of shots on goal. Possession wise, the titties enjoy a marvelous 63%, with 36% of the game behind played in and around the Stoke penalty area. Into the second half and things stay much the same with the titties enjoying more and more possession and banging in the shots but still no goals. Then disaster strikes as Steve Phillips attempts to play the ball out to Sol Campbell, but Marcin Radzewicz is at hand to steal the ball away and strike it high over the keeper and into the back of the net. A dreadful mistake for the keeper and one that could cost the titties a lot of money. After that the heads go down, and despite have a lot of possession the titties are unable to find a way back into the match and Stoke the jammy b*stards take the 1-0 win and move into the English Premiership, while the titties are left for yet another season in the Championship. 37 people shy of 90,000 were there today to see Man of the Match Peter Kopteff on the losing side as Stoke are lucky to move up, lets hope they crash and burn in the Premiership.

So another season over and another dissapointing playoff defeat, this time in front of 90,000 people. We are getting there step by step and hopefully next season we wont need to worry about playoffs as we will gain automatic promotion.

Some more news to report at the end of the season:

This years Championship Select features 2 Bristol City players in Leonardo Pisculichi and Peter Kopteff, for their excellent and consistent performances.

Stadium Expansion: The titties board have announced that they will be increasing the stadium capacity by 6500. The work is expected to take about 6 months to complete and the overall capacity will be reduced during this work.

Fans Player of the Year this year was Leonardo Pisculichi who has continued to impress with his performances on the left wing.

Titties Update

We find ourselves yet again in the pre-season stage and Johnston is hoping to add a number of new faces to the squad, mainly in defence, in the hope of gaining promotion next season.

There are not many players leaving the gate this pre-season, at least none worth mentioning, but there are some top players coming in.

Players In:

Ben Watson from Nottingham Forrest for 4.5mil.

Michael Dawson from Nottingham Forrest for 1.5mil

Celestine Babayaro signed on a free transfer after being released by Chelsea

Jamie Carragher signed on a free transfer after being released by Liverpool

Kevin Thomson signed on a free transfer after being released by Chelsea

So a very experienced defence for the titties for next season with Celestine Babyaro, Jamie Carragher and Sol Campbell making up a part of it. Kevin Thomson signed a permanent deal for the titties after impressing last season during his loan spell. Big signing Ben Watson is brought in with a hope of strengthening the midfield.

So things are looking promising for next season, and another player is joining at the start of August, Johan Elmander from Bronby. Hopefully this will complete the squad. However Johnston is said to still be on the look out for a top striker who will hit the target on a regualr basis. In recent years most goals have been coming from midfield with the strikers struglling to make it into double figures.

Some friendly results before the season begins.

Bradford 1 Bristol City 3

Bristol City 2 Liverpool Reserves 0

Alloa 0 Bristol City 2

Morton 0 Bristol City 2

Cambridge 1 Bristol City 0

Some good wins there, but you can't really take much from friendlies, especially against the likes of Alloa. So lets just look forward to the season at hand and some success finally for the titties.

And its none other than Johnstons identical twin brother David Johnston who is appointed as new manager at Ashton Gate, so its out with the old and in with the new in a hope to inspire the Titties to more success. </div></BLOCKQUOTE>

The Fulham Festivities - Champions League Football for Fulham again!!!!!

In a dramatic end to the season Fulham clinched champions league football on the last day of the season as they beat Portsmouth and Chelsea lost out at Middlesbrough. There was joy all around the Cottage as news filtered through of Chelsea's loss. They had worked so hard all season and at one point it looked as if they would have to settle for UEFA Cup football but they fought hard all the way to the end and got their reward. Here is a run down of the final games on the season...............

Premiership

Wigan v Fulham - (A) 20th March 2010

They went from the sublime to the god awful in the space of a game. From beating Blackburn so easily they produced an absolutely dreadful perfromance at Wigan. They were well below par and Hepburn was not happy, lambasting his players as they walked off the pitch after the full time whistle. Everything we had come to expect of this Fulham went out the window and they were easily beaten by a Wigan side full of hunger and desire. Poor, poor poor!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Final Score - Wigan 3 v 0 Fulham

Goals - Wigan - Perez (27), Hughes (37, 57)

Att - 19590

MOM - Michael Hughes (Wigan)

Premiership

Fulham v Birmingham - (H) 28th March 2010

Hepburn gave the side a huge kick up the arse as they welcomed Birmingham to Craven Cottage. It was a fantastic performance from Fulham and left the fans and Hepburn mystified as to why they could not do this week in week out. Muntari got Fulham on their way although they had created many chances but their finishing was hopeless. Maresca eased the worry inside the ground by getting number two and then Pazzini got his almost usual goal a game to seal an impressive performance from Fulham.

Final Score - Fulham 3 v 0 Birmingham

Goals - Fulham - Muntari (30), Maresca (pen, 57), Pazzini (87)

Att - 26895

MOM - Gianpaolo Pazzini (Fulham)

Premiership

Arsenal v Fulham - (A) 3rd April 2010

A huge game for both clubs and for different reasons. Arsenal were going for the win to keep up their championship charge and Fulham were wanting the three points to stay in touch for a champions league spot. The game started at a frentic pace with both sides going at each other right from kick off. Arsenal went ahead through Aruna in twenty three minutes but Hepburn's side came right back at Arsenal and dominated the rest of the half without managing to get the equaliser. The equaliser came three minutes into the second half after a goal mouth scramble ended up with Pazzini hammering the ball home from about two yards. Fulham then went ahead with the confidence flowing through the side and again it was that man Pazzini who got the goal. After Fulham went ahead the Gunners went all out attack and laid seige to the Fulham goal in search of an equaliser and they managed to get that goal as eventually Fulham's defence caved in with only ten minutes to go. Neither team seemed to have the energy to have one more push to find a winner and the game finished all square.

Final Score - Arsenal 2 v 2 Fulham

Goals - Arsenal - Aruna (23), Matusovic (78)

Goals - Fulham - Pazzini (48, 51)

Att - 59979

MOM - Leonardo Ponzio (Fulham)

Premiership

Fulham v Everton - (H) 10th April 2010

Fulham went all out attack in this game as they laid seige to the Everton goal for ninety minutes and still only came away with two goals!!!! Iain Turner in the Everton goal produced a couple of fine saves but the finishing in general was no where near clinical enough and Hepburn was frustrated at his side's lack of goals once again. Fulham took the lead early in the first half as Lewis Hoggan managed to divert a cross into his own net. Fulham spent the rest of the half creating chances but missing every single one of them. In the second half it was more of the same and Fulham got a second goal through Muntari and cruised the rest of the game and got three very easy points.

Final Score - Fulham 2 v 0 Everton

Goals - Fulham - Hoggan (og, 18), Muntari (54)

Att - 25683

MOM - Sulley Ali Muntari (Fulham)

Premiership

Chelsea v Fulham - (A) 18th April 2010

Another huge encounter for Fulham and they left Stamford Bridge feeling hard done by as they were 3-1 up and still managed to end up drawing. It was a defensive mistake from a player who has done so well under Hepburn in Carlos Bocanegra but Hepburn refused to blame him for gifting Chelsea a dramatic equaliser. The game itself was a superb game with attacking free lowing football from both sides. Hepburn feared the worst however after only ten minutes Chevanton put Chelsea ahead. Fulham came right back into the game much like the Arsenal went on to dominate the game for over an hour and in the process managed to find themselves 3-1 up. All of the Fulham goals came in the second half firstly through Pazzini and then a superb double from Essien. Chelsea looked shocked and rattled and Fulham almost had a fourth but for a great save. Chelsea went for broke in the last ten minutes and played five up front and had Fulham under all sorts of pressure. Mutu pulled a goal back six minutes from time and then that terrible error from Bocanegra handed Chelsea an undeserved point.

Final Score - Chelsea 3 v 3 Fulham

Goals - Chelsea - Chevanton (10), Mutu (82), Bocanegra (og, 90)

Goals - Fulham - Pazzini (63), Essien (64, 76)

Att - 42412

MOM - Saloman Kalou (Fulham)

Premiership

Fulham v Man City - (H) 24th April 2010

What a fantastic game of football this was and a great advert for English football. Both teams just attacked each for most of the game with both goalkeepers in superb form or we might have been looking at a cricket score here. City went ahead after only seven minutes but Fulham hit back immediately such was the confidence that was flowing through the team. Hepburn has made Fulham a lot more attacking at home in light of too many dropped points. Maresca got Fulham's equaliser. Both teams had chances to increase their lead but it was a Michael Essien goal right on full time that gave Fulham a priceless win. It was ashame that one team had to lose this game such was the quality of the attacking play but the Fulham fans were not complaining when Essien's shot hit the back of the net with almost the last kick of the ball.

Final Score - Fulham 2 v 1 Man City

Goals - Fulham - Maresca (15), Essien (90)

Goals - Man City - Norregaard (7)

Att - 29916

MOM - Saloman Kalou (Fulham)

Premiership

Newcastle v Fulham - (A) 1st May 2010

Fulham produced a truley wonderful performance in this game at Newcastle that left Hepburn full of confidence his team can match the so called bigger teams. Not many teams have dominated Newcastle at St james but Fulham were a class above in this game. They looked more than up for this game and tore Newcastle to shreds with a clinical display of finishing. At the back they were solid and never let Newcastle really hurt them and snuffed out any danger. Essien got Fulham off to a perfect start with an early and that just seemed to settle Fulham and they just went on from there to dominate the game. Pazzini grabbed a double to boost his already superb goal tally for half a season in the Premiership and Claus Jensen also grabbed a goal in an emphatic victory.

Final Score - Newcastle 0 v 4 Fulham

Goals - Fulham - Essien (8), Pazzini (28, 59), Jensen (78)

Att - 46067

MOM - Peter Enckelman (Fulham)

Premiership

Fulham v Portsmouth - (H) 8th May 2010

This was it the last game of the season and if Fulham won and Chelsea lost, Fulham would be heading into the champions league for the second season in a row. They welcomed Portsmouth to the Cottage a team who had never beaten Fulham with Hepburn in charge so it was a good omen. Fulham knew what was at stake here and gave their manager everything they had as they also wanted more champions league action at the Cottage next season. It was all out attack from Fulham as they went in search of goals to settle the nerves and get the result they were after. They got to a flyer after only twelve minutes they were one up when Maresca slammed the ball home. it was all Fulham and they got a second right on half time through Pazzini and everything was looking good for Fulham. Over at the Riverside Chelsea were winning that put a damper on the atmosphere at the Cottage. The fans were getting nervous but it did not affect the Fulhanm players who came out for the second half looking for more goals. They got a third goal through Pazzini but the fans were still subdued and listening to the Chelsea game on their radios. There was then a huge roar as word filtered through about a Boro equaliser and then the roof near fell off the stadium when news of a Boro third. The fans were going crazy and the Fulham players became a little distracted as so much was going on. At full time the players still did not know whether to celebrate as the Chelsea game was still going on. Another huge roar went up as news of the Boro win came through and the Cottage was rocking!!!!! The fans flocked onto the pitch to get a piece of their heroes and Hepburn just sat back and took it all in. It was another superb day in Fulham's history.

Final Score - Fulham 3 v 1 Portsmouth

Goals - Fulham - Maresca (12), Pazzini (44, 59)

Goals - Portsmouth - Mezague (79)

Att - 29980

MOM - Shunsuke Nakamura (Fulham)

It has been another fantastic season for Fulham and the club is progressing very well with Hepburn in charge. After what happened last season, Hepburn knew it would be tough for his team match it but they did and now they can look forward to another good pre season and Hepburn will be looking to strengthen his squad which at times looked a bit thin with no real depth last season. Another season of Champions League football is on the horzion and with a few new faces to bolster the squad Fulham can look forward to another glorious season with maybe some silverware to celebrate at the end of it.

The Fulham Festivities - Fulham march into the new season full of confidence!!!!!

After another great season at Fulham, Hepburn wanted to keep the momentum going and keep his team progressing the way he would like. Hepburn went and his side went their seperate ways for about six weeks or so and Hepburn went to his usual destination to relax and forget all about football and relax with his ten girlfriends. He then went on various scouting missions to try and bring in some fresh talent to compliment and improve his already brilliant squad. Here is a run down of who he brought in.....

Transfer1.jpg

Joe Carter - Harris SC - £1.5 Million from Portsmouth - Hepburn snapped up this talented young striker as a player for the future. He has some great potential at only 22 years old and has featured for the England U/21's once. He may not play many games but may force his way into the side.

Luisao DC - Free Transfer from Benfica - Hepburn snapped this man up at the blink of an eye. A really strong defender with a bit of pace and adds a bit more youth to Hepburn's aging central defensive pairing. A big name signing with big things expected from him in the coming season.

Robert Huth DC - Free Transfer from Man City - Hepburn brought Huth in to challenge for a first team place with the likes of Hofland and Bouma. He is tall, strong and can play a bit so Hepburn seems to have brought in a real talent for absolutely nothing. Good piece of business.

Stewart Downing AML - Free Transfer from Sheffield Wednesday - Hepburn went back to raid the Owls for their best player in light of the Owls being relegated. Downing jumped at the chance and will provide stiff opposition for the likes of Nakamura and Pearson. A very talented player with enormus potential and has still to reach his peak. He was Hepburn's best player when he was at Sheffield Wednesday and Hepburn is delighted to have him back in his team.

Valeri Bojinov SC - Free Transfer from Lecce - A world class striker worth almost £20 million and Hepburn managed to get him for free. Again a player who has not reached his peak and could go on to become one of the best strikers in the world. Another fantastic signing who will be challenging Pazzini all the way for a starting place.

Javier Mascherano DM RC - Free Transfer from Juventus - Another absolute steal from Juventus and makes Fulham a lot stonger both in the middle of the park and out on the wing. This guy is strong, powerful and pacey.

Hepburn looks to have made some superb signings having seen them in training but of course it is about what they do on the pitch that counts. The whole squad seems very upbeat about the new season and the new signings have settled into life at Fulham very quickly indeed. Here is a runodwn of the pre season games......

Pre Season Friendlies

H. Ashkelon v Fulham (A) 19th July 2010

Final Score - H. Ashkelon 0 v 2 Fulham

H. Kfar - Saba v Fulham (A) 21st July 2010

Final Score - H.Sfar - Saba 0 v 2 Fulham

H. Haifa v Fulham (A) 24th July 2010

Final Score - H. Haifa 0 v 2 Fulham

So with a successful pre season behind them the Fulham squad looked in superb shape ahead of their Champions League third round qualifier against Austria Vienna.

The Fulham Festivities - Fulham hit the summit early!!!!!

It has been an absolytely wonderful start tot he season for Hepburn's Fulham. After only four games they sit proudly at the top of the Premiership level on points with Man utd but with a game in hand. Along with the great start in the Premiership Fulham have also made it to the Champions League for the second season in a row after their demolition of Austria Vienna in the third qualifying round. All is good at Craven Cottage at the moment and even Hepburn is walking around with a smile on his face. Here is a run down of the first games in Fulham's season.......

Champions League 3rd Qualifying Round 1st Leg

Austria Vienna v Fulham - (A) 11th August 2010

A fantastic way to start the season as Fulham demolished Austria Vienna and set them up perfectly for the start of the Premiership season. The star of the show was Pazzini who has started this season the way he finished last season - Scoring plenty of goals. He grabbed a fabulous hat trick and was generally a threat throughout the game till he came off for Bojinov with only seconds remaining. Christian Schulz scored his first ever goal for Fulham from the penlaty spot and Michael Essien a second half substitute came on and grabbed a goal as well. It was awesome stuff from Fulham as they enjoyed total domination and Vienna did not create one chance at all which was credit tot he Fulham defence. Overall a superb performance from Fulham and showed no signs of rustiness.

Final Score - Austria Vienna 0 v 5 Fulham

Goals - Fulham - Pazzini (45, 48, 87), Schulz (65), Essien (90)

Att - 11235

MOM - Gianpaolo Pazzini (Fulham)

Premiership

Wolves v Fulham - (A) 14th August 2010

Hepburn was wary going into the Premiership opener at Wolves as Fulham failed to beat them in the league last season both home and away. The only joy they had against them was in the cups. Hepburn made a few changes to the team to keep the squad fresh and fit. Bojinov replaced Pazzini and Essien replaced van der Vaart up front and boy did that work out for Hepburn. Almost straight from kick off Essien put Fulham ahead and that really set the tone for the rest of the game with Fulham dominating Wolves for most of the game. New signing Bojinov grabbed all the headlines with his first goals for Fulham and Fulham found themselves 3-0 up within half an hour and they were coasting to victory. They had chances in the second half but could not increase their lead not that Hepburn was caring. His team had just beaten their so called bogey team. Could this be an omen for the season???

Final Score - Wolves 0 v 3 Fulham

Goals - Fulham - Essien (1), Bojinov (21, 24)

Att - 26896

MOM - Valeri Bojinov (Fulham)

Premiership

Fulham v Stoke - (H) 18th August 2010

Fulham welcomed new boys Stoke to the Cottage and also welcomed Bristol City manager Dave Johnston to witness a demolition job. Again Fulham got off to a great start with Essien putting them ahead after missing a couple of earlier chances. Fulham dominated the game start to finish and should have scored a few more goals but they had to wait until the second half to get number two and it was van der vaart who got it. Colin Doyle in the Stoke goal pulled off save after save to deny Fulham and to keep the score respectable.

Final Score - Fulham 2 v 0 Stoke

Goals - Fulham - Essien (24), van der Vaart (67)

Att - 28198

MOM - Simon Downing (Fulham)

Premiership

Arsenal v Fulham - (A) 21st August 2010

Now it was time for a huge test for Fulham as they went to the Emirates Stadium to take on Premiership champions Arsenal who Fulham have struggled to beat as of late. Fulham went into this game full of confidence and unbeaten so far so have every right to think they could get a result here. The game started at a frentic pace with both sides testing each other out with a couple of early chances but then the game turned on its head when Fulham won a penalty when Given barged Pazzini out the way in the penalty area and the referee pointed to the spot. In a surprising move new Fulham defender Luisao stepped up to take the penalty and Hepburn buried his head in his hands. He stepped up confidently and slammed the ball past Shay Given to give Fulham the lead. After the goal Fulham stepped it up a gear and could have made it two almost straight away but for a world class save from Given. However Fulham did not have to wait long for number two as Pazzini smashed home a shot from twenty five yards that Given did not even move for. it was terrific stuff from fulham as they did not let Arsenal get into the game. In the seocnd half Arsenal had a lot more possession but did not do much with it as the flham defence stood firm. They were resticted to mainly long range efforts, none of which troubled the Fulham goal keeper. The Gunenrs managed to pull one goal back but it was not enough and Fulham had beaten the Premiership champions!!!! Could this be another omen for Fulham's season???

Final Score - Arsenal 1 v 2 Fulham

Goals - Arsenal - Matusovic (89)

Goals - Fulham - Luisao (pen, 13), Pazzini (26)

Att - 59983

MOM - Jose Antonio Reyes (Arsenal)

Champions League 3rd Round Qualifier 2nd Leg

Fulham v Austria Vienna - (H) 25th August 2010

A non event as Fulham looked to be on a training exercise at times as their seemed to be no pace or tempo about the game but they still managed to score twice. Both goals came either side of half time from van der Vaart and Maresca and apart from that nothing else really happened during this game!!!!

Final Score - Fulham 2 v 0 Austria Vienna

Goals - Fulham - van der Vaart (45), Maresca (46)

Att - 25992

MOM - Stewart Downing (Fulham)

Premiership

Fulham v Southampton - (H) 29th August 2010

Another efficient performance with Fulham without being spectacular. They created a barrel load of chances but had trouble hitting the target on a regular basis. Luckily they were good enough not to give the Saints any encouragement or this could have been a different game. Maresca got Fulham off to the best possible start with an early goal but it all went wrong in front of goal for Fulham untilt he second half when they managed to hit the target again and scored again. Pazzini got the goal to put the fans minds at rest as well as Hepburn who was prowling around the dugout wondering why his players were unable to hit the target!!! They got the result in the end and that is all that matters at the moment.

Final Score - Fulham 2 v 0 Southampton

Goals - Fulham - Maresca (4), Pazzini (62)

Att - 29981

MOM - Enzo Maresca (Fulham)

It has been a great start to the season and Fulham are looking really strong both home and away but of course there is a long way to go before Fulham can be seriously considered as title contenders.

Titties Update

Here we are at the start of a new season and the titties are looking to bounce back from their playoff defeat and hopefully gain promotion to the premier league.

As far as the bookies are corncerned they fancy that the titties will be around about the play-off zone come the end of the season by offering odds of 5-1 for the titties to gain promotion. The favourites to win the league are believed to be recently relegated Everton and Sunderland who come in at 7-4.

Before we head on to the league campaign we have the draw for the first round of the league cup. And the titties will face league 2 team Chester away.

League Campaign

Everton 4 Bristol City 2

So with a new season about to get under way the titties field a familiar team but with a few new faces added into the mix. Right back Rincon on loan from Man Utd, Jamie Carragher joins Sol Campbell at centre back and Ben Watson takes his place in the centre of midfield. As the game gets underway things are looking bad for the titties with almost all the possession going to Everton. And with 24 minutes on the clock they take the lead with a powerful header from a cross from the left. But with 3 minutes to go until half time the titties pull it back level when Peter Kopteff fires in a cross from the left which seems to miss every Everton defender and leave Steven Fletcher through on goal to slot past the keeper to make it 1-1. So not too bad for the titties to be going in at half time level.

So into the second half and once again Everton have control and after only 5 minutes they take the lead again with a shot from just inside the box. 63 minutes on the clock now and a deflected shot finds its way past Phillips to make it 3-1 for Everton. With 2 minutes to go Leonardo Pisculichi plays a lovely through ball that finds Ben Watson who slots it past the keeper for a consolation goal. But the hopes of a comeback are dashed 3 minutes into injury time when Everton score their 4th and deservedly take 3 points.

So a defeat to start the season but not too bad as Everton are clearly the best team in the league. But starting the season in 19th place is not a good start.

Bristol City 1 Nottingham Forrest 1

2 changes to the team for this game after the defeat against Everton, and its Steve Finnan at right back and Celestine Babayaro getting his first game at left back. So hopefully not too many goals conceded this time around. With only 2 minutes on the clock Kopteff sets up Fletcher only for his shot to hit the post. But 8 minutes later Wayne Routledge plays a side pass inside the box to Ben Watson who grabs his second goal of the season with a nicely placed shot. But with 30 minutes on the clock Forrest are awarded a free kick just outside the area which is struck wildly into the top corner. A fantastic strike to make it 1-1 at half time.

The second half starts with the titties looking to grab the winner but unfortunately a combination of poor finishing and good goalkeeping means they are unable to add to their goal tally. Luckily though Forrest are unable to break through the titties defence at all and the game ends a 1-1 draw. Wayne Routledge picks up the MotM award for his top performance today.

So the first point of the season and its enough to take us up 3 places to 16th, nowhere near where I want to be come the end of the season however and I'll be looking for a win soon.

Millwall 1 Bristol City 2

Once again the titties have 2 changes to their team for this one and the yound Dave Bentley takes over from the seasoned Sol Campbell at centre-back, and Roland Linz starts up front in place of Fletcher. A confident performance today from the titties as they push forward right from the off. But it takes 23 minutes for the titties to break the deadlock as Kopteff's shot is saved only as far as Wayne Routledge who places the ball into an empty net. And thats the half time scoreline.

Into the second half and the titties are looking for more and they get it after 58 minutes when Pisculichi strikes a free kick from just outside the box into the top corner. As the titties ease off the gas Millwall start to push forward and are able to grab one back after 68 minutes after a defensive error. But luckily for the titties its not enough and we hold out for a 2-1 win and our first 3 points of the season. MotM for todays game is in-form left winger Peter Kopteff.

Our first 3 points of the season is enough to take us up to 10th place and we are climbing closer and closer to our desired end position.

Bristol City 2 West Brom 0

Steffen Hofmann gets his first start of the season today by taking his place in the centre of midfield. The game gets underway with the titties in control but they are unable to achieve anything in the first half as they go in goalless at halftime.

Into the second half and the titties are finally able to find the net after 66 minutes when Celestine Babayaro plays the ball from left back through to Pisculichi up front who skillfully takes the ball round the keeper and scores. The game is finished off in injury time when Pisculichi crosses into Steve Wilson at the front post and his header finds its way past the keeper to make it 2-0. Once again the MotM award goes to Peter Kopteff.

So another win on the board and the titties are possibly putting a run together here as they are beginning to win in style. The 3 points are enough to move up one position to 9th.

Swansea 1 Bristol City 3

The titties are still looking for a striker to consistently add to the goal tally and today Filipe Oliviera is given his chance up front. The game seems to be swinging from end to end in the first half but the titties finally open the scoring after 43 minutes as Pisculichi steps up to convert from the penalty spot. That goal is enough to spur the titties on and on the stroke of half time Wayne Routledge plays an inch perfect cross to the back post where it is met by the head of Pisculichi who gets his second of the game. So 2-0 at half time.

Into the second half and its Swansea who get the next goal but it takes until the 78th minute, possible too little too late. With 5 minutes to go the star man Pisculichi decides he is not finished and he grabs his hattrick with 5 minutes to go. So a 3-1 win today and a hattrick for Pisculichi is enough to win him MotM.

Another win, another 3 points and another few places higher up in the league as the titties move to 7th place.

League Cup Campaign

So its a break from the league and a game against League 2 team Chester in the first round of the league cup.

Chester 0 Bristol City 4

Despite a lower quality of opposition the titties field a full strength team today and look for a convincing win. Within a couple of minutes the titties are bombarding the Chester goal with shot after shot. And with 5 minutes on the clock Leonardo Pisculichi grabs the first of the afternoon. 10 minutes later and Peter Kopteff makes a spectacular run from his own box taking it past 5 Chester players on the way before striking it past the keeper to make it 2-0. On the half hour mark and Pisculichi plays the ball inside to Watson who strikes from 30 yards into the top corner to make it 3-0 at half time.

5 minutes into the second half and the titties are looking for more with their shot cannoning back off the upright. But minutes later and they are awarded with a penalty which Pisculichi coolly slots home to make it 4-0. A great day for the titties with Pisculichi once again being awarded with the MotM award.

So a great win for the titties and the draw for the next round pairs us up with Plymouth at home.

Back to the League Campaign

Bristol City 1 West Ham 0

Steven Fletcher is given another chance up front today in the hope of grabbing a few more goals. But that is not going to happen in the first half as the game goes in goalless at half time.

Into the second half and the only goal of the game comes with 7 minutes to go as Watson plays the ball to Wilson at the edge of the box and he strikes one home, an impressive strike from distance. So another win as West Ham are unable to reply to this fantastic strike.

Another 3 points are enough to take us up into 4th place and its looking as though we might be able to challenge for automatic promotion this season.

Another new addition to the titties squad and its another old boy. Portuguese attacking midfielder Deco agrees a one year deal with the club.

Sheffield Wednesday 1 Bristol City 0

New signing Deco is added straight into the starting line-up to face recently relegated Sheffield Wednesday today. But his performance is not very convincing, hopefully it'll only take some time for him to settle in. The titties are all over Wednesday in this game but are unable to find the net despite a huge number of shots on target. A good display from the Wednesday keeper. So 0-0 at half time.

In the second half the titties are on the look out for the goal that will win the match but unfortunately it doesn't come and instead some poor defending allows Wednesday to grab the winner instead. A dissapointing 1-0 defeat despite 22 shots on goal. But Pisculichi still does enough to win MotM.

With that defeat the titties drop back down to 8th place, but they are still in with a shout at promotion this season with some good performances so far.

One award to announce for the end of the season and its Dave Bentley who wins the young player of the month award for his consistent displays at centre back.

Top Goalscorer

Leonardo Pisculichi runs away with this honour this session after scoring 7 goals.

Most Assists

Its a double whammy for Pisculichi as he has the most assists as well with 3 for the session.

Player of the Session

Obviously after scoring 7 goals, setting up 3 and winning 3 man of the match awards Pisculichi is the number one choice for this award, but close behind is Peter Kopteff with 1 goal, 2 assists and 2 man of the match awards and a mixture of 8s and 9s for the session.

</div></BLOCKQUOTE>

The Fulham Festivities - We were top now we're no!!!

After such a brilliant start to the season it was all going too well for Hepburn and Fulham and yes the silly performances started dropping in and harming Fulham's title challenge ever so slightly. They lie in third position only one point off the pace but in all fairness they should still be sitting at the top of the Premiership. In the Champions League Fulham have started off very well and sit top of their group level with Bayern Munich Here is a run down of the latest games.............

The Champions League Draw

After a comprehensive thrashing of Austria Vienna, fulham took their place in the Champions League draw amongst the best clubs in Europe and looking to do even better than they did last season where they got knocked out by Man Utd. It proved to be another favourable draw for Fulham as they were placed in the same group as last season's winners Bayern Munich. here is the group in full:

Group H

Fulham

Bayern Munich

Benfica

M. Haifa

Afterwards Hepburn commented, " It is a great honour to be part of the Champions League for the second season in a row and i am more than happy with the draw and yet again we have a great chance of getting through tot he knockout stages. Bayern will be favourites but I think we can maybe get something against if we stay focussed and play to the best of our abilities. Both games against Bayern will be tough but my team is always up for a challenge and they should be magnificent occasions for both the players and the fans of this football club".

So Hepburn looking forward to the Champions League again, it should be one hell of a group.

Premiership

Fulham v Birmingham - (H) 1st September 2010

Confidence was high going into this game and it was a game Fulham were expected to win and win easily but it proved the bookies odds count for nothing in this game. Fulham got off to a terrible start by conceding a penalty after only two mintues and then Birmingham just sat behind the ball and frustrated Fulham for the rest of the game. It was a poor perfromance from Fulham and Hepburn did not look happy at full time.

Final Score - Fulham 0 v 1 Birmingham

Goals - Birmingham - Savage (pen, 2)

Att - 32974

MOM - Stewart Downing (Fulham)

Premiership

Man Utd v Fulham - (A) 11th September 2010

A top of the table clash at Old Trafford was next on the agenda for Fulham but it was a day best forgetten for them. It seemed every cross Utd put in the box Ronaldo would head home. It was really poor from Fulham, especially some of the defending which was school boy like at times and not what Hepburn had come to expect from his defence.

Final Score - Man Utd 5 v 1 Fulham

Goals - Man Utd - Ronaldo (2, 44), O'Shea (26), Rooney (48), Kleberson (51)

Goals - Fulham - Essien (4)

Att - 66763

MOM - Cristiano Ronaldo (Man Utd)

Champions League Group H

Fulham v Benfica - (H) 15th September 2010

After two terrible results and performances it was not the best form to take into their opening Champions League group H game against Benfica. Fulham started off cautiously but soon began to dominate and create chances, none of which were taken. it seemed like it was only a matter of time before a goal came and that goal came early in the second half through Pazzini who is scoring for fun at the moment. Fulham kept creating opening but could not put the ball in the back of the net until almost full time when Maresca sealed the win for Fulham. A weclome win for Fulham after two very disappointing league results.

Final Score - Fulham 2 v 0 Benfica

Goals - Fulham - Pazzini (47), Maresca (89)

Att - 30200

MOM - Stewart Downing (Fulham)

Premiership

Fulham v Middlesbrough - (H) 18th September 2010

After the confidence boosting win in the Champions League Fulham were more than up for the visit of Middlesbrough. Fulham started off like an express train and were 2-0 up inside ten minutes and Boro looked shell shocked. It was a Pazzini double that did the damage and from then on their was only going to be one winner. Essien made it three on the half hour and Maresca made it 4-0 right on half time. Hepburn looked delighted with his team's performance at half time. In the second half Fulham started to tire a little, understandbly so after their mid week game and were content in just passing the ball and keeping posession. Middlesbrough pulled a goal back five minutes from the end as a shot cannoned off Hofland and back into the Fulham net but not even that could take away what a performance this was from Fulham.

Final Score - Fulham 4 v 1 Middlesbrough

Goals - Fulham - Pazzini (5,9), Essien (28), Maresca (45)

Goals - Middlesbrough - Hofland (og, 85)

Att - 31802

MOM - Saloman Kalou (Fulham)

Premiership

Portsmouth v Fulham - (A) 25th September

It was off to the south coast next for Fulham as they took on Pompey. An efficent perfromance from Fulham saw them win a lot easier than the scoreline suggests. They domianted the game for the most part and created all the best chances but some of the finishing was pretty woeful as seems to be the case with this Fulham side. They went ahead on the half hour through Bojinov but could not make their chances count after that until late in the second half when Maresca grabbed another important goal for Fulham. He has been outstanding for Fulham this season so far and Hepburn is very impressed with his contribution to the team. Pompey pulled a goal back with a minute to go but no grandstand finish happened and Fulham went back to London with the points.

Final Score - Portsmouth 1 v 2 Fulham

Goals - Portsmouth - O'Neill (89)

Goals - Fulham - Bojinov (29), Maresca (82)

Att - 35940

MOM - Enzo Maresca (Fulham)

Champions League Group H

M. Haifa v Fulham - (A) 28th September 2010

Fulham had played in Israel in a pre season friendly tour against M. Haifa so they knew all about them going into this Champions League game. The atmosphere was a lot different to the pre season friendly with all sorts getting thrown onto the pitch but that did not put off Fulham who produced a great performance and came away with a superb win. Again it was two early goals that got Fulham off to a flyer and knocked the stuffing out of Haifa. Injuries forced Hepburn into playing his two strikers with Bojinov playing just behind Pazzini and it worked wonders with both getting a goal each inside ten minutes. Pazzni then grabbed a second goal and Fulham's third and the game was effectively over as Haifa were not providing any threat in attack. Maresca got a fourth for Fulham and they just saw the rest of the game out. Ponzio got himself sent off needlessly midway throught he second half but the game was already over so no real damage was done but Hepburn looked at him in disgust as he walked off the pitch.

Final Score - M. Haifa 1 v 4 Fulham

Goals - M. Haifa - Birok (21)

Goals - Fulham - Bojinov (4), Pazzini (8,25), Maresca (49)

Att - 13988

MOM - Enzo Maresca (Fulham)

Premiership

Fulham v Newcastle Utd - (H) 2nd October 2010

Another super performance from Fulham as they tore Newcastle apart and controled another game from start to finish without ever being exceptional. They had most of the possession and the chances but could not finish them off quickly. Mascherano got them off to a great start by grabbing his first ever goal for Fulham. It took until the eighty third minute to seal this win when Pazzini slammed the ball home but Fulham were always in control of the game and limited Newcastle to very little in an attacking sense. Another good professional performance from Fulham to get keep up the pressure on Man Utd and Liverpool.

Final Score - Fulham 2 v 0 Newcastle

Goals - Fulham - Mascherano (2), Pazzini (83)

Att - 31548

MOM - Saloman Kalou (Fulham)

So after a superb start Fulham seemed to have dropped their perfroamnce level just a little but they are still playing some superb football and getting some good results apart from the Brum game and the Man U game. They have also made a good start in the Champions League so all is going well so far in Fulham's season.
