Username2 Posted March 6, 2013 Share Posted March 6, 2013 Are a Head of Youth Devolpment and reserves manager really needed? I've just started a new game managing west ham. I was thinking about sacking my reserves manager, promoting Tony Carr to assistant manager and giving the responsibility of the reserves to Carr. Then I was going to bring in Dave Parnaby as U18 Manager and give the responsibility of finding new youth intake to him. noah08 Posted March 6, 2013 Share Posted March 6, 2013 They aren't needed. Just helps with training. It depends how much control you want over your reserve and youth teams, and your club structure. If you're like me, a manager who loves to develop youngsters, your HoYD is probably the most important staff member for you.
