WizbaII
The "Cuts Inside" PPM means a player prefers to go from a wide position moving to the center of the field with the ball. It is useful for players playing on the opposite of the field as their strong foot. Arjen Robben is a great example of this as he ghosts down the right flank, moves centrally, and frequently attempts to outpace his marker and have a shot, rather than dribble down the right flank and then cross. What I don't understand is, is the player still stuck to that PPM when they are on the same side of the field as their strong foot. Does the game still make a left-footed player cut inside even if he's playing on the left side? Are there players in RL who cut inside all the time no matter what side they're playing on? Jean-Luc
Robben is actually a wonderful example. He replaced Ribéry on the left side a few times recently (because Ribéry was injured) and drove Bayern fans crazy, because he simply and only has this ONE move to cut inside, but then does not know what else to do, so he sometimes tried to kick the ball with the outside of his left foot and failed miserably. achilles-the-victorious
I think your best bet would be to teach player in question another PPM, dribbles down right/left flank. So if he is right footed LW/RW who has learnt to cut in from the LW, but can cross as well as shoot, then teach him to dribble down the right flank. PinkYoshi
idealy you want the shooting foot to be towards the middle of pitch, so when he cuts inside, he can take a quick shot if needed. for your typical winger you want them to play with their natural foot on that side of pitch for crossing though
