dking Posted March 31, 2013 Share Posted March 31, 2013 Can we no longer do it? I want to give my board an ultimatum - either cough up some cash, or I walk, but I can't seem to find an option for it. We were supposed to be fighting relegation in the first season and I got us into the Champions League whilst adding the German cup to the cabinet. I'm supposed to be finishing mid table this season and I'm third after 12 games. The board won't back me with any more cash, even though we have 40million in the bank so being in the Champions league is almost pointless. Guest Posted March 31, 2013 Share Posted March 31, 2013 I seem to recall that the ultimatum feature was removed because it just turned into a sack me now button, at the end of the day you're just the head coach so if the board are happy with the money they've made available to you then that's what you have to deal with. What I do think should exist is a post resignation press conference where you can tell the media that you quit your position because you felt the board lacked ambition, this could see the supporters taking your side & leading to your return in the near future or they could remind you that nobody is bigger than the club & that they're glad to see the back of you.
