Youth Facilities are getting upgraded.

English Premier League title Odds - Really Manchester City????

Season Tickets - 15,915 vs 13080... The Green Army is growing!

Champions League Group A:

Forest Green - Best team in the World

PSV - Dutch Champions unless we have a really bad game, shouldn't be a problem.

SK Rapid Wien - Austrian Champions shouldn't pose a threat

Beerschot AC - Champions of Belgium, shouldn't be a worry

Preseason & August Fixtures

ForestGreen2037-2038PreseasonFixtures.png

vs. Stade Rennais FC - League 1 - First warm up match of the preseason saw a nice goal on us, took till the second half to tie it up and took till the 85th in order to take the lead. We came back strong at the end. While it wasn't ideal we ended up with the win. Kenny got a brace!

vs. MLS All-Stars - Went Home to America to play the All-Stars and we kicked their asses. They got a shot on our goal at least.

vs. Blackpool - Npower League 2 - Solid win where our new striker Glen Halloway getting a brace.

vs. Murcia - Liga Adelente - Luna picks up a brace in this solid 3-0 match against a decent spanish side.

vs. Manchester City - Community Shield - We started well with our new striker getting a goal in the 8th minute. After that it became a slugfest with a lot of yellow cards and Glen's goal turned out to be the winning one.

vs. Fulham - Great win with Luna picking up a brace, we controlled and dominated the match more then the scoreline shows.

vs. West Brom - Kenny's hat trick shows how good the match was. We had a solid performance.

vs. Everton - Holloway went home to his old team and got a goal with us. Excellent match, we dominated.

Glen Halloway so far has scored in every competitive match we've been in this season, its only 4 games but still.

Only 3 teams after 3 matches are like us... 3 wins.... Chelsea and Southampton... we are in 1st with a 10 goal differential.

ForestGreen2037-2038PreseasonTable.png

Preseason Thoughts

Bought 2 players, sold 6. Brought in a young Midfielder/defender. We also brought in Kenny's teammate from the English national team Glen since he was leaving Everton for European Cups. Their partnership led to a world cup 3 years ago... and will lead to a few titles here as well.

In 4 appearances Lansbury got 5 goals 3 assists, Holloway 4 goals, and Luna got 2 goals 4 assists.

Overall I think we're well off with the team. Didn't have to spend 88 million like Everton does to fail... lol

Forest Green - September Summary - English Premier League - 2037-2038 Season

ForestGreen2037-2038SeptemberFixtures.png

vs. Southampton - Our B side was called up for the first time and it failed. Losing 2-1 was bad against a team we should've defeated.

vs. PSV - Champions League Group A - We played well in the match, all 3 strikers got a goal, our defense held fine considering the opposition.

vs. Watford - Andy got a brace, Claude gets a hat trick... Watford falls. Brilliant football from the B team.

vs. Arsenal - Capital one Cup 3rd Round away - Arsenal showed up for the fight, Luna produced the brace to lead us to victory.

vs. Swansea - Claude gets a brace, Dan gets a brace in 2 minutes, we're flying.

vs. Beerschot - Luna's brace was welcomed. Beerschot scored on us first, we came back from behind. Our superior team got us thru but wow Beerschot tried went all out on us.

1 loss in 6 matches puts us in 4th place behind by a point... 32 matches will determine the winner.

ForestGreen2037-2038SeptemberTables.png

Champions League Odds: 9-1 Odds are the 5th best... tied with the current champions.

Forest Green - October Summary - English Premier League - 2037-2038 Season

ForestGreen2037-2038OctoberFixtures.png

vs. Newcastle - Their 5 defenders, 3 defensive Midfielders, 1 Midfielder and 1 striker... yeah a bit defensive there boys... Jaba got a brace with Penalty kicks cause well they couldn't score... and they just tried to prevent us from doing so... I can admire the odd formation but against my team its not going to work most of the time.

vs. Arsenal - Scoreless draw was the fair result to be honest. Both sides could of scored. Statistically even, Arsenal improved from last year.

vs. SK Rapid Wien - Champions League Group A - wow... nice defensive effort... 21 shots on goal, 1 goes in... We deserved the win statistically but this was one frustrating match.

vs. Chelsea - Tight matchup too, a brace from Glen got the job done, but it wasn't a sure thing... they definitely improved.

vs. Everton - Capital One Cup 4th Round at Home - Took a chance with the backstreet boys too get the job done, and Claude got a brace... They almost tied it up in the second half with an onslaught but a few subs saved the day...

vs. Manchester United - This match has been waiting to happen for SOOOOO long... We totally took them out......

We are in 1st place in the League now by 2 points... if Chelsea win their matchup then our lead over second would be just 1.

Forest Green - November Summary - English Premier League - 2037-2038 Season

ForestGreen2037-2038NovemberFixtures.png

vs. SK Rapid Wien - Champions League Group A Away - All 3 strikers scored, was a good dominating match.

vs. Aston Villa - Luna got a hat trick in this thrashing... a pleasure to see.

vs. Middlesborough - A Brace by Dahlen led the assault. Gave up a lame PK in the 55th but it didn't matter. Still a killing especially for the B Team.

vs. PSV - Champions League Group A - This was tough, but PSV is no pushover. We dominated and kept PSV to 1 shot on goal but they kept 15 out... still a great performance.

vs. Swansea - Capital One Cup Quarter Final - Kenny got a hat trick in this match. another great match.

This month we scored 17 goals and conceded 1 in 5 matches. Thats awesome.

I'm laughing that Southampton is in first place... but won't be for long as we have 2 matches to catch up...

What is the reason for Southampton being so successful in the BPL ?

I was just trying to figure that out.

The manager has managed either Championship or bottom half BPL teams since he was a manager... so its not him, although he has good stats.

On average they bring in 30 Million in players selling off 10 million on average.

They have a decent team.

Last four seasons they finished 6th, 16th , 4th, 12th. Hardly consistent.

Nothing happened for the change this season vs. last season's 12th. There wasn't an epic signing.

This is just an up season, lets see where they end up in May.

And to think Liverpool this season is back in the Championship... things happen.

Forest Green - December Summary - English Premier League - 2037-2038 Season

ForestGreen2037-2038DecemberFixtures.png

vs. West Ham - The Backstreet boys barely eeked out a victory in the 82nd minute.

vs. Beerschot AC - Champions League Group A - Solid win, Luna gets a brace and blanks the Belgian Champions at home.

vs. Stoke - been awhile since we got 2 goals scored on us, and we losing from the 29th minute till we tied it in the 86th when Glen got his brace... then Jaba got the win in the 90th. Still 3 points and still a win.

vs. Sheffield Wednesday - The Backstreet Boys that are the B team aren't performing well right now, not sure why... Raul got the nice goal in the 56th from 20 meters... but jeez.

vs. Nottingham Forest - With Colin and Andy starting along with a shakeup I figured we got the win... scoreless tie... they tried and tried...

vs. Tottenham - Put the A Team on the pitch, and 5 players score. Was a great demolition of Tottenham.

vs. Manchester City - Most of the match it looked as if it would be a tie... 73rd minute Luna took back the lead and we kept it for an important 2-1 victory over what I consider to be the new top threat to me.

vs. West Brom - Considering we're resting up the A team for the next match... Raul gets the brace, Dahlen gets the hat trick... it was a great victory over the 19th ranked club in the league.

We're in 1st place, with at least 4 points on Southampton, having palyed 1 game less...

ForestGreen2037-2038DecemberTable.png

Would like to Congratulate Lansbury for being the World Player of the Year!

Champions League Knockout Round - Our next Opponents... FC Kobenhaven.

Forest Green - January Summary - English Premier League - 2037-2038 Season

ForestGreen2037-2038JanuaryFixtures.png

vs. Liverpool - Capital One Cup Semi Final Leg 1 away - the Championship side dominated in the first half, we managed to tie it in the second half but wow... tough match...

vs. Mansfield - FA Cup 3rd Round away - The Championship side fell as expected... Too bad Wilson after his brace got a serious injury...

vs. Fulham - Another nice fight, halftime it was 2-2... second half we took control though.

vs. Everton - First half they scored, second half our hot french midfielder that is getting 20 million bids for scored the goal to get the tie.

vs. Liverpool - Capital One Cup Semi final Leg 2 at home - Used the best lineup we have only to fall to the Championship side... sad

vs. Shrewsbury - FA cup 4th Round away - The Championship team was dominated the entire match, Raul gets a brace and Andy gets what is one of his last goals for the club.

vs. Southampton - Since they're a contender, they get the A team, and the A team got the win. Solid match.

vs. Swansea - Solid win, nice way to end what was probably our worse month.

We're still in first place with at least a 5 point lead over Manchester City.

Forest Green - February Summary - English Premier League - 2037-2038 Season

ForestGreen2037-2038FebruaryFixtures.png

vs. Newcastle - Started out the month with a solid 2-0 win, not a single shot on goal for Newcastle.

vs. Watford - We showed the League why they're in 20th place. Laercio got a brace in this match. Claude and Andy got nice goals.

vs. Cardiff - Dahlen got a hat trick that help to beat them down.

vs. Arsenal - We dominated the match with Luna getting a hat trick, Arsenal had 1 shot on goal and made the most of it.

vs. FC Kobenhaven - Champions League 1st Knockout Round Leg 1 away - Got the single goal in the 62 with a nice low shot to the corner. The return leg should be better at home... surprised they did so well after being away from Europe for so long. Last year they made it back to the Champions League Group phase for the first time since 2026.

vs. Arsenal - Solid win by the A team, Kenny getting a brace back from injury.

Great month, only gave up a single goal.

We're at worst 8 points better then Manchester City.

Forest Green - March Summary - English Premier League - 2037-2038 Season

ForestGreen2037-2038MarchFixtures.png

vs. Manchester United - I get that warm fuzzy feeling everything we beat a Manchester team. Well done.

vs. Aston Villa - This is why the B team isn't the A team, not bad just stop hitting the woodwork.

vs. FC Kobenhaven - Champions League 1st Knockout Round Leg 2 at Home - The visitors scored first with a nice pass from a winger where their striker headed it in the 10th minute. After that we bunkered down, and worked the ball up the field and passed it around for a good 5 minutes patiently looking for an opportunity, and we snatched it. In the second half we scored a goal on the counter attack, just textbook playing in that one. We did well to advance to play... Barcelona.

vs. Manchester City - FA Cup 6th Round away - A quick goal got things rolling in the 5th as Manchester city wasn't going to let us play our way... took till the 65th when Holloway beat the keeper to the near post on a wonderful play. Kenny stole the ball from the defender and scored in the 74th... now we get the other Manchester in the next round.

vs. Chelsea - Solid match, Kenny get a brace. Nice goal from Chelsea ended up being the best of the month. We won, we got the 3 points that matters.

vs. Cardiff - Hint... Knocking down Andy Payton AT home in his last few matches isn't a good tactic. Payton took the goal and deflected the ball into the net off the keeper. Not the best match for the B team, but its 3 points.

vs. Barcelona - Champions League Quarter Final Leg 1 away - We went down 2 fast, 17th and 20th minutes... but we returned the favor in the 33rd and 39th minutes. We showed the world what we're made of, going into half time 2-2. Second half was all us. They didn't get a shot on goal in the 2nd half... we had 2... 73th minute header from Glen that went in... and Kenny 30 meter shot that deflected in off the post. Got the 2 away goal lead.

14 point lead with 7 matches remaining, its ours to lose.

ForestGreen2037-2038MarchTable.png

Champions League Quarter Finals

Youth Candidates - We need at LEAST 2 1/2 star potential to become a backup...

Forest Green - April Summary - English Premier League - 2037-2038 Season

ForestGreen2037-2038AprilFixtures.png

vs. Middlesborough - Solid win by our backup squad. 2 youngsters getting the goals for us.

vs. Barcelona - Champions League Quarter Final Leg 2 at Home - With the hard work done in the first match we shut down the back with our 5 best defenders going into a 5-3-2 formation and it worked... Jaba got the goal in the 53rd with a free kick... He bent it like Jaba.

vs. West Ham - Could've been, should've been our second loss in the league before Glen pulled it back in the 91st. Not a good match.

vs. Manchester United - FA Cup Semi Final - We went down thanks to a lame penalty kick in the 11th minute, but Laercio who caused that kick got the header in the 32nd to tie it all up... Boquita got the 20 meter shot off the crossbar in... went into half time 2-1... Second half Luna got the third goal and the team progressed to play fine.

vs. FC Sochaux-Montbeliard - Champions League Semi Final Leg 1 at Home - Good team but we kept them from even getting a shot on goal.

vs. Nottingham Forest - the B team and in particular Brian Wilson with his brace led the team to victory in this match, it was also the match in which we claimed the Premier League title ours with 4 matches left in the season.

vs. FC Sochaux-Montbeliard - Champions League Semi Final Leg 1 away - We scored in the first minute of the match, Kenny got a brace, and we just kept up the pressure... but they did get a nice thru pass and got 1 goal in the second half... but still needed 6 more for the win.

We are the Champions

ForestGreen2037-2038AprilTable.png

Thoughts

6 Matches left in the season - 4 are English Premier League matches that are now not necessity, we have the FA Cup Final against Derby County... AND the Champions League Final REMATCH from last season again FCP!

On the 1st May we have negotiated all contracts that were up next year to new deals, could have an impact on how much transfer activity happens next year. We upped or maintained the wages of 12 players, including 2 stars. we'll need at least a striker for Andy Payton.

Forest Green - May Summary - English Premier League - 2037-2038 Season

ForestGreen2037-2038MayFixtures.png

vs. Stoke - Kenny gets an early brace but in the second half we totally lose it... we fell apart... No idea why.

vs. Sheffield Wednesday - The B team did better, we got the win it wasn't pretty and we hanged on.

vs. Derby - FA Cup Final - The Championship Side beat us in penalties 3-2

vs. Manchester City - Not a single shot on goal... pitiful.

vs. Tottenham - at least Andy Payton scored... we still lost...

vs. FCP - 1 shot on goal and it went in, Lavie scored the winner. Lucky win with how we ended the season.

No idea why form suddenly dropped at the end of the season, we rotated the squad.... I just don't know.

13 of our players are in the World Cup

Will be doing the season review in my next posting.

Well it seems you were lucky this month, for all the performances were poor in general

All could of been done better... FCP is tough with the former Manchester United Manager at the helm who made no new transfers this season and dominated their domestic league.

Our preseason camp in China will be invigorating, especially if I get the player I want.

Forest Green - Season Summary - English Premier League - 2037-2038 Season

Shareholders - Stole 7.25 million

Training Camp - Heading to Shanghai China from 7/17-7/27

English Premier League Table - 100 goals most in the League, conceded 23 goals the least in the league. Goal Differential of 77.

Champions League Tree - Both us and FCP had a hard road to the Final.

Champions League Dream Team - Should have more Forest Green players...

FA Cup - Let's forget this final...

Capital One Cup - Let's forget this Semi final

Europa League - In the second Knockout Round Shakhtar knocks out Torhout. Athletico Madrid wins the Europa League by beating Real Madrid... good for them.

Torhout won the Belgian League and therefore will be in the Champions League.

The Squad - The team is strong, had a few players under 21 who don't have to register which made the team a little larger for awhile but this season was definitely a contraction as you'll see. But still besides falling apart at the end of the season the team was pretty damn good.

The Transfers

Incoming:

Laercio - A young brazilian midfielder/defense brought in cause well he's good, damn good. Did well his first season.

Holloway - Joined on as a striker, the English international did well his first season with us.

Outgoing:

Guildford - Wasn't good enough to stay, we got decent money for him.

Brennan - When Schalke asked 14 Million for him no way we could say no, he wasn't for sale but he wasn't being used much...

Roche - Our french defender wasn't used much so when Southampton wanted him for over 15 Million, couldn't say no.

Jones - The midfielder's skill has been slacking and when Nottinghm offered 10.5 Million for him, couldn't say no.

Gibson - The Northern Ireland Keeper is 33 and needed a home, was willing to let him go on a free, but Fulham got him as a backup keeper now.

Savage - Wasn't good enough to stay once he hit 22. Sheffield Wednesday asked about him and we sold him for 10.25 million.

Ndongala - Liverpool wanted him on loan and he did alright there, after examining him and the squad we'll see if he gets a shot on the team or if we'll seek to sell him.

Bogdevich - Overrated and Middlesborough offered 3 million.... we accepted easily.

Most of the bids over 10 million were in payments so it didn't help as much as I would of liked for new players, just saying.

The Finances - 44 million in the bank!

Initial Budgets - Not enough to be honest, can't really bring in more than 2 IF I'm lucky...

New Sponsorships - 196k to 226k... should of been more!!!

Key Players

Kenny Lansbury - Our 24 year old English Striker had a good season. In 41 appearances he scored 30 goals with 16 assists and 8 POM honors he's the best we have up front at the moment. He's young and will head the attack for the forseeable future. With an average rating of 7.71 he's one the candidates for several awards.

Augusto Luna - Our 26 year old Argentinian Striker is the #2 striker on the team. In 41 appearances he scored 29 goals, was 2 for 2 on penalties, had 14 assists with 7 POM honors and a average rating of 7.57. Definitely the #2 striker for the forseeable future.

Glen Holloway - Our 29 year old English international is new and has become the #3 striker on the team. In 42 matches he scored 20 goals, had 11 assists with 4 POMs... If I get the striker I want he'd become at best #4. We'll see. Good player and fits right in, just should have a bit more goals, and he should of had a little better average rating then 7.43.

Ole Erik Dahlen - The 29 year old danish international had a decent year as back up for the team. In 17 appearances he scored 10 goals, successfully converted a penalty kick, had 3 assists and 1 POM. His average rating was only 7.39 but he did decent. Will be around into his early 30s.

Claude Colin Our 34 year old striker had a good year, he's on a 2 year contract making WAY too much but he's loved by the fans. For what he did he did great. In 14 appearances he scored 11 goals, converting a penalty with 5 assists and 3 POMs. he had an average rating of 7.79. Looks as though he'll end his career with us.

Jaba Gogatishvili - The 27 year old Georgian International is one of the best midfielders in the world. In 40 matches he scored 12 goals, converted 7 of 8 penalties, had 2 assists with 2 POMs with 13 Yellow cards. He only got an average rating of 7.43 but that doesn't tell the story. Great number of goals from the box to box midfielder!

Diego Garcia - Our 28 year old Midfielder/central defender hybrid had a great year. Its not always a started but he's normally a substitute. In 31 appearances he scored a goal, ad 11 assists and 6 POM honors and an Average rating of 7.89. This is why he's loved, he's not the best but he does what he needs to, whether as a midfielder or defender.

Adderli Pantoja - The 24 year old dutch international is one of our best defenders, he can play it all in the back. In 41 appearances he had 11 assists, 2 yellows, and an average rating of 7.39. He made the cut by getting over 10 assists, he can improve his average rating though. Overall he did well in matches.

Pierre Lefebvre - Our 25 year old French defender did quite well as a backup. In 19 matches he scored once, had 1 assist, 3 POM honors and an average rating of 7.84. He's a great defender and will be with the club as long as he wants.

Juan Carlos Seminario - Our 23 year old Peruvian international is probably our best defender. In 41 matches he scored 2 goals, had 2 assists, and 3 POM honors, with an average rating of 7.87. He's almost perfect in the back and he's one the reasons we don't give up many goals!

Paupol Lavie - The 25 year old playmaking midfielder is one the most valuable players on the team. In 42 matches he scored 5 goals, had 14 assists and 7 POM honors. On top of that he had an average rating of 7.79... in 13 appearances at the Continental Level he averages 8.09. He won the Champions League Best Player Award.

Grant Dick - Our 21 year old English Keeper had a great season. In 63 matches he conceded 39 goals and had 34 clean sheets with an average rating of 7.05. he's doing great and will continue to do so for at least the next decade. For the second time in 3 years, Grant Dick is the English Premier League's Golden Glove!

Andy Payton - Our 34 year old English striker had an ok last year as a striker for the club. Retiring is tough on him. In 19 matches he did score 6 times and had converted 1 out of 2 penalty kicks, as well as 3 assists. His average rating was 7.14. We're going to miss him as he's considered a club legend.

Andy Payton's Career Stats - 213 goals in 374 appearances for his entire career but 208 goals in 356 matches for us.

Andy Payton's Bio - Speaks for itself.

Thoughts

Thinking if I should take the good older striker for a lot less money or get the English international that'll cost 15 million and is a bit on the older side... Wage bill is over 2 million a week. We have our stadium upgrade to around 50k in seats, we have our youth/training facilities upgraded as well. Just need to expand our youth network and junior coaching but the option isn't available. We're still forced to rely on players outside our academy for the foreseeable future. Its hard to add to the team either way, need to be good to be a starter.

Forest Green - PreSeason and August Summary - English Premier League - 2038-2039 Season

Payton Retires In case you missed it.

Best Player in Europe - Kenny Lansbury was the Best Player in the Europe and Paupol Lavie was named second best!

European Club Ranking - Yes we're 1st.

Our Stadium Expansion is completed

Facilities - 52,690 seat stadium.

EPL Odds - We've got 2-1 odds, which is only second best... lol

Season Ticket Sales - Last Season 15,915, This Season 16,464.

Champions League Group Draw - Group E - Forest Green, Torhout, Shakhtar, and Tel-Aviv. While Torhout and Shakhtar could do an upset... I can't imagine NOT being in the top 2.

Youth Recruitment - Now its Established.

Junior Coaching - Its now excellent.

ForestGreen2038-2039AugustFixtures.png

vs. Seoul - First of 2 friendlies took place in Korea. Luna got a hat trick and we totally dominated the match. Great showing especially in the 2nd half. New signing Ian Owens scored as well.

vs. Seongnam - Second friendly, Luna and Owens got braces. We totally dominated the match, did very well.

vs. Derby - Community Shield - First half was a battle as the Npower Championship side thought they could beat us like they did last season. Second half we showed that we're better. Should've had more goals but can't complain.

vs. Wolves - First League match of the season, scoring was a little shy of where it could of been, finishing hasn't been up to par but the 2-0 victory is satisfying enough.

vs. Leeds - Luna got a hat trick in this great match. Other then about 15 minutes in the second half, we played brilliantly. Sweet win.

vs. Athletico Madrid - European Super Cup - Tough match, tight match that went to penalties. Our goalie blocked 2 penalties to win.

Thoughts

Its tough to improve the team with new signings. Balanced the team out sold a few bought a few... the majority remains the same. Still have over 20 million to play with and no one worth signing with it has been found... yet. The team is smaller since we don't have many under 21s anymore. 2 early season midfield injuries are a pain already. Longer term we're well set up for the future.

vs. Nottingham Forest - They were all on defense. We hit the goal and went defensive.

vs. Tel-Aviv - Champions League Group E - Kenny and Luna got braces in this match that we dominated. They scored on a lucky free kick but otherwise it was all us. Needless to say we won our Group, Torhout goes to the Europa League.

vs. Sheffield Wednesday - Our B team got the job done. Satisfied with the win.

vs. AL-Ittihad - World Club Championship Semi finals - They blitzed us in 40 seconds getting a goal, but then it went our way and we tied it in the 36th. Second half was all us.

vs. Boca - Club World Cup Championship Final - We absolutely destroyed them, they got 1 shot on goal. Ian, Jaba and Glen got braces. I have no doubt this year that we're the best in the world.

vs. Chelsea - Capital One Cup Quarter Finals at home - In 90 minutes Chelsea almost broke us. But in the 88th we tied it up and went to 30 minutes extra time when Luna got a brace in 8 minutes to secure us passage to the Semi Finals.

vs. Tottenham - Tough match, we came back from behind for the win. Not sure if its us or them having a great game.

vs. Manchester United - Another match that scared us, especially coming back from behind, scoring in the 86th and then getting the winner in the 92nd. This is what champions do, get victory where as others would give up.

vs. Wolves - Colin got the scoring started early, but as soon as that happened Wolves shut us down. It became a battle that led to their keeper becoming man of the match. We did come out on top, which ultimately is the important thing.

vs. Cardiff - Luna's hat trick speaks for itself. Solid win for the team... continuing our dominance.

In 20 matches we have 20 wins... at worst we have a 12 point lead.

ForestGreen2038-2039DecemberTable.png

Champions League Group E - We and Shakhtar advance, Torhout heads to the Europa League

First Knockout Round - We face Barcelona

Youth and Traning facilities have been upgraded.

Sadly Colin is retiring at the end of the season.

Forest Green - January Summary - English Premier League - 2038-2039 Season

ForestGreen2038-2039JanuaryTable.png

vs. Leeds - Our secondary squad was up for this one and Holloway and Curley got the job done. In the 77th Leeds got one and started to outplay us... fortunately they couldn't get the second one.

vs. Middlesborough - Capital One Cup Semi Final Leg 1 at home - Glen got a broken leg that will keep him out for the rest of the reason, earliest is end of July to come back. Otherwise it was a dominate performance at home.

vs. Sheffield United - FA Cup 3rd Round at home - Solid 2-0 win over the League 1 team with Ranieri getting a brace for the backup team.

vs. Southampton - Another good 2-0 win as we kept the opposition from even getting a shot on goal.

vs. Aston Villa - At halftime it was 3-2... we just took over in the second half and won what should of been an easy match.

vs. Middlesborough - Capital One Cup Semi Final Leg 2 away - They scored first and we tied it. As a match it was our first tie of the season amazingly, but we advance to the final.

vs. Wolves - FA Cup 4th Round - Currently in 20th place in the Premiership we dominated most of the match. Boquita got a brace and for a few minutes they had the best of us scoring a goal, but the result remains the same.

vs. Swansea - Our B team was up and Colin got a brace in 4 minutes. Solid win as the A team mostly rested for the Arsenal match in 4 days.

vs. Arsenal - Solid win as we kept Arsenal and their new signings from the January transfer window weeping as the one who ditched me for them cried in a puddle as I realized just how bad that player was... I was happy I didn't pick up the loser, serves them right. Otherwise Boquita got a nice brace in the match as our team is still working as a well oiled machine.

Amazingly in the league we're still 25 wins in 25 matches with a healthy 54 goal differential and 19 point advantage over Manchester United.

ForestGreen2038-2039JanuaryFixtures.png

Not sure the exact day this snapshot was taken but it was around the 10th of January that shows 5 out my 7 strikers injured.

Forest Green - February Summary - English Premier League - 2038-2039 Season

ForestGreen2038-2039FebruaryFixtures.png

vs. Liverpool - Solid win for our backstreet boys... Claude scored again! We did very well here.

vs. Manchester City - They played to win, only problem is they couldn't get more then 1 in... Luna secured the win in the 66th.

vs. Everton - Other then letting 1 goal in, we dominated Everton, Owens got a brace, and am very happy.

vs. Torquay - FA Cup 5th Round - The Npower League 2 has over achieved in the FA cup. Solid 3-0 by the backstreet boys led by Colin.

vs. Stoke - Capital One Cup Final - We went all out, and since we still had strikers injured we got Colin in as well. Luna got a brace and we went for it. Stoke got 2 in on us, but we outplayed them in every way. Very pleased.

vs. Barcelona - Champions League 1st Knockout Round Leg 1 away - Utter Domination highlighted by Owen's brace. They didn't even get a Shot on Goal at home!

vs. Middlesborough - Tough match but we pushed it. At halftime it was 2-2 thanks to Colin once again scoring. Late sub Owens got the winner in the 70th.

We're still doing awesome, can't explain it other then I figured out the best way to handle the team. We tweak things every season and I might of found the winning formula now. I don't feel bad for letting go who I let go because of our success.

The team is still in first place in the League up by 22 points in the league.

ForestGreen2038-2039FebruaryTable.png

As of February 9th we secured Champions League football next season by finishing in the top 3.

Tremendous season you are having so far

Thank you kindly, and in the next update you'll see it continues.

This is looking easy

I think I just cracked the best way to get the most out of the players I have. Technically I'm a weaker team then last season, as well as smaller. We've also pretty much had 5-7 people out at one time all season... yet I'm just cruising along. I'm amazed I analyze my opponent and make the right moves this season.

Wow, would be amazing to have a 100% league season. Don't see that much.

No comment, don't want to jinx it.

Just read all this thread over last two days and I've enjoyed it immensely so KUTGW!

Do you have a director of football already at Forest Green? Were you not tempted to hire Payton to keep him at the club as he is such a legend?

Thank you, and I'm glad you enjoyed it. :)

Yes I have a very good Ukrainian Director of Football. I'm not sure Payton fills the bill to be good enough for it, I brought in Alexis Francois our old striker to be our 18 and under manager cause he's not bad stat wise.

Forest Green - March Summary - English Premier League - 2038-2039 Season

ForestGreen2038-2039MarchFixtures.png

vs. West Ham - Was happy to score before half time, West Ham didn't get a shot on goal... so the defense did the job for us.

vs. Liverpool - FA Cup 6th Round - We used a hybrid team for this match just to be sure... Claude scored a header for once and Ian nailed it from 20-25 meters to get a 2-0 lead. Luna got a red card in our box... why he was back there I dunno and they got a penalty on us. We then went 5-3-1 and rolled out the victory. Liverpool played way better then their 18th place... yeah they're in relegation AGAIN...

vs. Newcastle - With injuries we had to play Claude who yet again got a goal... Solid performance can't complain.

vs. Barcelona - Champions League 1st Knockout Round Leg 2 at home - Claude got a brace and while we weren't as dominant as we were in Spain 2-0 at home is still respectable.

In the table we're now 31 wins in 31 matches... got 93 points (99 is the record in modern times) and we're 22 points ahead of 2nd place Manchester United.

ForestGreen2038-2039MarchTable.png

In case you're wondering we won the league on March 12th

We've linked up with Real Betis.

Youth Candidates - Finally we have a good player..

Matthew Slocombe - Our 16 year old Striker has come up thru our system and in the next few years will hopefully blossom into the superstar we deserve!

Forest Green - April Summary - English Premier League - 2038-2039 Season

ForestGreen2038-2039AprilFixtures.png

vs. Chelsea - Our defense was solid but our B team offense shut down... First tie in the League.

vs. FC Bayern - Champions League Quarter Finals Leg 1 at Home - Same match as we played against Chelsea, The A team did wonderful on defense but was dead on offense.

vs. Chelsea - What a wild match up, Claude got the tie that got us to extra time and then in Penalty kicks we won 4-3. Way too close.

vs. FC Bayern - Champions League Quarter Finals Leg 2 away - We ended up down 2-1 at half time... Second half we got our defense back up and slowly scored 2 goals to get us to the semis... not the best match.

vs. Nottingham Forest - Goal fest in this match, Owens gets a brace and we're happy we won. We scored a few goals and gave up a few.

vs. Stoke - Kenny and Ayite got braces in this match. We were down 2-0 at half time, second half it was all us as Kenny got his brace in 3 minutes and Ayite got his brace as a late substitute in 8 minutes.

vs. Sheffield Wednesday - Come back from behind tie as our B team couldn't get the win.

vs. Dortmund - Champions League Semi final Leg 1 at Home - Our form went to holy hell in this match, we should've lost. Angelini being a right back stuck a goal as if he was a striker... it got the tie... not sure what he was doing so far out of position... I'm worried about the second leg.

vs. Everton - We took the lead and was up 1-0 at half time, then took it too 2-0 in the 64th. Then after that they took control... and almost won on top of it...

Well we didn't get a loss but almost felt like the team is just too tired to do better at this point in the season. I'm not sure...

In the league we have 102 points, 19 points over Manchester United.

Forest Green - May and Season Summary - English Premier League - 2038-2039 Season

ForestGreen2038-2039MayFixtures.png

vs. Dortmund - Champions League Semi Final leg 2 away - Tight tight match, Dormund scored in the 31st off a corner kick, we tie it up in the second half in the 70th by our midfielder Laercio with a nice cross and header. After 90 it was 1-1... same score as it was in the first match so it went to extra 30 minutes. In the injury time of the first half of extra time... We took the lead in the 106th with a nice goal from 25 meters out. In the second half we took control and Claude closed out the match with a typical hard hitting low shot to the corner to get us to the final.

vs. Arsenal - FA Cup Final - Arsenal had most of the possession but could barely get a shot on goal, they fell asleep early in the second half which allowed Luna to score from about 4 meters out. Good win.

vs. Tottenham - Kenny got a brace as we cruised to victory. They did score a wonder goal from 16 meters out, this happens.

vs. Manchester United - Last match of the Premiership season and I was really praying they wouldn't ruin the unbeaten run and they were hapless.Luna got a brace in 3 minutes and defensively we were on top of our game.

vs. Paris Saint-Germain - What a wild match... was a fitting Champions League final with all the drama. Our 4-3 victory was showcased by Claude Colin doing a bit of Messi/Maradona down the middle and finishing it off in the 120th minute... Match Summary. Nothing else needs to be said.

Club World Championships - We won against Boca 8-0 who are the Brazilian Champions in the final. Yes we're that damn good.

Champions League Second Round Tree - Not many surprises took place after the First Knockout round. Surprised Inter knocked off Real Madrid. Southampton losing 5-0 to PSV is strange. And Milan losing to Shakhtar is also a bit strange.

English Premier League Table - No Losses, 3 ties and 35 victories in the Premiership is great. 108 points, with 104 goals and a goal differential of 76 is excellent. Liverpool stayed up this time, and I know Fulham won promotion back to the Premier League. Will be a fun season.

FA Cup Tree - Nothing too unusual, and we're the Champions!

Capital One Cup Tree - Biggest upset is Cardiff knocking off Manchester City otherwise most are normal results.

Team Stats and Team Competition results - Main thing to see is we won every competition we were eligible for, our stadium is practically sold out with what seems to be no chance of another expansion... so I guess after our stadium is 20 years old in 2053 we can build a bigger one...

The construction work for the upgraded youth and training facilities is starting.

Junior Coaching budget - increased to exceptional.

Youth Recruitment improvement - increased to well established

Current Facilities - An overview of our facilities

Torhout finished second in the Belgian Pro League and will be in the Champions League next season.

The Europa League Table - Torhout got knockout by LOSC Lille on away goals. Lille made it to the finals only too lose too Schalke in extra time. Lille totally overperformed. Beerschot did well for themselves getting to the second knockout round.

Shareholder payout - 27 million???? really???? ugh...

New Sponsorship deals - From 9.67 million to 19.2 Million. Nice progress this time.

Initial Budgets - Transfer Budget of 22 million, and 2.3 million/week salary.. up over 125k/wk. Need more transfer funds...

The Finances - Over 75 million in the bank...

The Transfers -

Incoming - Total Spending 58 Million

Owens - As the season went by he ended up becoming our top striker, not bad for 12 Million.

Thompson - Lame defender bought make sure we have 8 Home grown players on the team.

Artabe - Is a highly touted 16 year old Spanish defender. He's similar to Seminario on my team, and is touted as the next Gerard Pique. Given that at 3 million its a cheap buy.

Nze - Started the season as a backup defender but as time went on the 23 year old became part of the first team and even earned 2 caps with his homeland as France since starting with us. No idea why he was on the auction block from PSG.

Solhheim - We bought a young Norwegian Striker from Schalke who is compared to Luna. If he maxes his potential he'll be a hell of striker for years to come.

Hartmann - Another young player this time a midfielder who has loads of potential. Not as hyped as our other 2 but still a bargain at 6 million.

We went with youth purchases due to the fact we didn't have enough money to buy anyone better then what we had already gotten from Owens and Thompson.

Outgoing - Received 90 million

Branfoot - He was a youth player that would never see playing time in the first team. He signed a 1 year deal with MK Dons in the Npower League 2. Started 1 match and was a sub for 17 matches, had 1 assist with an average rating of 6.09. his contract ends at the end of the month, I think you can see why.

Ndongala - Was a decent french midfielder, but was on the lower end of the spectrum. We got a decent price for him and he played in 30 matches, 13 as a starter, getting 1 goal, 1 assist with 1 POM, with an average rating of 7.20. He's got a decent future.

Garcia - made a mistake letting him go to Bayern, got a good price for him though. He played 41 matches, 36 as a starter, scored 1 goal with 3 assists and 5 POM honors with an average rating of 7.37.

Kusnierz - Wasn't quite the same after his broken leg, and when compared to my other midfielders was the weakest so I tested the market with him and Barcelona came and offered 38 million... couldn't refuse. He played 35 matches, 18 as a starter. Scored 1 goal got 1 assist and had an average rating of 6.64. Think we got the better deal here.

Burgess - went on loan to Hartlepool in the Npower League 2, but isn't good enough to for our team, hopefully we sell him in the summer.

Seitz - Our german defender was surplus as well, he's been wanting more playing time and well he was the weakest link in that position. Our weakest link was worth 20 million to Real madrid... He played 35 matches for them, scoring once, converted a penalty and had an assist. Also it should be noted that he got 17 yellow and 3 red cards... something he never did here... had an average rating of 6.57 as well

At the time we sold the players, we only recieved 30% towards transfer revenue. Its also why we have 75 million in the bank.

Champions League Dream Team - Speaks for itself...

The Squad - The unbeatables... enough said.

Key Players

Ian Owens - Our new 30 year old English Striker did very well for us. In 45 appearances he scored 30 goals with 17 assists with 3 POM with an average rating of 7.65. He'll be a large part of the action for the next few years.

Dan Curley - Our 22 year old English striker did well as a backup while our top strikers were hurt. In 19 total appearances he scored 10 goals with 3 assists with 1 POM. He had an average rating of 7.28. Can't say he has a long future with the club but I think he'll be a backup striker for awhile.

Ayite Tchomogo - Our 22 year old French midfielder is doing well. I think he can learn and get better. In 42 matches he scored 10 goals, had 8 assists with 4 POM. His average rating is 7.36.

Paupol Lavie - Our 26 year old belgian midfielder once again made us all proud. In 42 matches he scored 5 goals, had 16 assists with 2 POM honors but his average rating was 7.92... In the Champions League he made 15 appearances, scoring twice with 6 assists and 1 POM with an average rating of 8.01. He's a star, our starting playmaking midfielder and he's worth every penny.

Jaba Gogatishvili - Jaba didn't do as well as he has done in the past. In 40 appearances he scored 9 goals. went 4 for 5 in penalties, had 10 assists with 2 POMs and 7.39 average rating. I believe he's better then this but still his contributions were good.

Ranieri - Our 26 year old french-brazilian is playing for France these days as Brazil never played him as an adult. In 30 matches he scored 3 times with 10 assists and 2 POM honors. He averaged 7.29. Love the assists could do better with the average rating. He's a backup and will remain such for sometime to come.

Juan Carlos Seminario - The 24 year old Peruvian defender is the best we have. In 43 matches he had 2 goals, 1 assist, and 6 POM honors and had the highest average rating on the team with 7.94. He'll be here a long time.

Grant Dick - Our 22 year old English Goalkeeper played in 67 matches, conceding 51 goals with 34 clean sheets. His average rating is 7.07. He's the #1 goal keeper for England, and us. He also won the honor of being the English Premier League Golden Gloves Winner

Kenny Lansbury - Our 25 year old English Striker had a good year despite his injuries. In 32 matches he scored 20 goals, got 13 assists with 7 POMs. He had an average rating of 7.74. He was named the Champions League Best Player.

Augusto Luna Our 27 year old Argentinian striker had a stellar year. In 42 matches he scored 34 goals, converted 1 or 2 penalties, with 17 assists and 7 POM honors. His average rating of 7.72 is one of the highest at the club. He won the Champions League Golden Boot.

Claude Colin - Our 35 year old striker is retiring after 8 years with the club. He scored 41 goals in 64 matches for France. He's played for quite a few big clubs such as Real Madrid, Arsenal, and Bayern Munich... but at the end he played no where longer then with us. In 35 matches he scored 19 goals, failed on a penalty kick, had 10 assists with 2 POM honors. His average rating was 7.34 for the season, and he leaves the team as an Icon. Here is Claude's Biography

Thoughts

Not really sure if we can upgrade the team. One of our backup goalkeepers who needed their contract renewed wanted 100k to stay... so we're finding a proper replacement for him. Otherwise we'll see if anyone graduates from the youth team thats worthy of anything, and take back in those in the reserves we couldn't sell and see if maybe now they have a role to play. Once contracts expire on June 30th, We'll see who there is to buy and see what transpires. Most of the team I'm quite happy with hopefully next season we won't have 5 strikers out at once...

3 Best Players in Europe:

1.Augusto Luna

2.Kenny Lansbury

3.Paupol Lavie

Colin retired!

Reputation: How did Manchester United surpass us... and how are we not #1????

Season Tickets went from 16,464 to 16,862 this season.

Youth Recruitment Improvement - its extensive now

Season Expectations - Surprised they expected anything but total victory in the League, naturally I went with winner at this point.

Champions League Group Draw - In Group G with us is OM, Galatasaray, and Molde... Not bad. Torhout is in Group H with FCP, Juventus, and Basel which means more than likely they'll end their European Adventure in the Europa League.

Thoughts

Preseason went well. We got all our targets into the club. It was interesting how I asked for an increase in my Youth Recruitment, and just for the heck of it asked for more Transfer budget, and wage budget it and got it... Then I made a record transfer in, sold players and pretty much ended up taking current accounts into the red. Hopefully I can sell the last player who was hurt for some money to get us out of the red. Here's the English Transfer Window Roundup which features our new top purchase as well as our top sale that came as a result of the big purchase.

Forest Green - September Summary - English Premier League - 2039-2040 Season

ForestGreen2039-2040SeptemberFixtures.png

vs. Cardiff - Our backstreet boys dominated Cardiff... Dahlen gets a hat trick and Lansbury got a brace... Other then the 1 breakaway we dominated this match well.

vs. Galatasaray - Champions League Group G at Home - Kept them to 2 shots on goal, we had 10 shots on goal... Solid performance.

vs. Nottingham Forest - Too tight, although we kept them to 2 shots on goal... we still had the match.

vs. Newcastle - Got the 3 points but it wasn't the best match.

vs. Manchester United - Any win over them is good.

vs. OM - Champions League Group G - Closer match then I thought, but we still got the 3 points.

In 6 matches we're in first place with 6 wins, ahead of Tottenham due to goal differential.
