Your best regens?

Recommended Posts

I'm not sure I've seen one of these kind of threads for the handheld version of the game so thought I'd kick one off.

I'm Newcastle manager and I'm in 2022. I've been there five seasons now I think, won the Premiership three times in a row. Here are some of my best youngsters.

My main striker. Going into his third season at the club after joining on a bosman free transfer from Athletico Madrid. Has scored 52 times in 99 games so far with 29 assists. Has turned out much better than I expected.

Arguably my best player - joined from Bari for £10.75m. Real Madrid, Chelsea and Inter currently interested and is my highest earner at £210,000 a week. Has been with me for five seasons now and had his best season last year. That was particularly pleasing as he'd just come off a season where he played just seven times due to injury. His Newcastle career has seen him score 51 times in 147 games with 67 assists.

Abate's partner in crime. Also joined me from Bari but I managed to get him on a bosman. He normally plays right wing, with Abate left and Cervera through the middle. In his four years at the club, he's scored 69 goals in 167 games with 75 assists - he's my Mr. Consistent.

Primarily a back-up for Abate/Moretti. Joined me four years ago from Athetico Madrid for nothing. I apologise to both Athletico and Bari for taking their best youngsters! Used mostly as a substitute so his stats aren't magnificent. He's got 33 goals and 23 assists in 120 appearances over four seasons. Played more last season due to injuries.

The oldest of the lot. One of my first signings for the club five seasons ago from... yep, Athletico Madrid for absolutely nothing. Spent loan spells at Blackburn, Bolton and Middlesbrough, scoring 32 times in 82 games. He finally broke into my squad and has since scored 47 times in 88 games with 22 assists. With Abate's injury problems, he's normally the first man to step in.

So there you have my best attacking regens. I have some decent ones in other positions as well but these five are among the best. It's strange that I managed to find two World class players from Bari, who have 'average' training facilities and are now in Serie B.

Anybody else want to share some of their finest regens?
