Is there any point in registering for the reserve league at the beginning of the new season? Does it do anything other than keep players match fit? scooterSB Posted April 7, 2013 Share Posted April 7, 2013 gives match experience to young players and helps you track their progress. If you dont have a big reserve team it makes up the numbers with your under18s I usually try and sign some out of contract players that are under 21 and stick them in the reserves. The cost nothing to sign, there wage costs are minimal, they dont take up space in your squad registration and it's always good to have some back-ups if you go through a bad injury spell.
