Help with .lnc files needed

I'm playing around with the .lnc files, trying to change the name of a Team in a saved game and can not get it to work. My plan is to play using MLS (rules intact) and if a team finishes with the worst record 2 years in a row to change the team name, kits, etc. I can change the kits with FMRTE but not the team name. So I am trying to change the Team name using an .lnc file.

Example - change 'Colorado Rapids' to 'Phoenix Heat':

I create a .lnc file in the '\Steam\steamapps\common\Football Manager 2013\data\db\1330\lnc\all\' directory. Within the file I have a couple of lines:

"CLUB_NAME_CHANGE" 1903 "Phoenix Heat" ""

"CLUB_SHORT_NAME_CHANGE" 1903 "Phoenix Heat" ""

- the team doesn't show in the game. Any help would be appreciated ? Thank you.

First of all, it doesn't need to be in the all folder, within the lnc folder should be fine.

Secondly, CLUB_NAME_CHANGE changes both short and long name. Basically, there's 3 commands, CLUB_NAME_CHANGE, CLUB_LONG_NAME_CHANGE and CLUB_SHORT_NAME_CHANGE, all of which do the expected changes.

Thirdly, if the database item you are trying to rename has had some changes to it already via an editor data file, then the changes won't take effect. Editor data file changes supersede LNC file amendments.

That said, there doesn't seem to be anything particularly wrong with the commands above :S

The only thing I can think of is that the new lnc file should be placed in the 1300 path if the save game in question was started prior to the latest patch.

I am using a file with the Editor. Looks like this would be the reason the changes aren't showing up with the .lnc file. Thank you for your help.
