Facilities upgrade

Hello everybody.

I have reported this in the bug section, but I would like to know if someone have tried this before to clear whether it is a bug, or the facility just will get upgraded 2 x levels at once.

So, right now I'm playing with Real Unión in La Liga (29th may 2017) and since I got promoted the board has gone crazy with upgrading my training and youth facilities.

Before the season ended, they planned to upgrade my current training facilities from the level "AVERAGE" and my youth facilities from the level "ADEQUATE".

The board expected the training facility upgrade to be done at 25th october 2017 and the youth facility upgrade at 24 october 2018.

1) Does it really take THAT long to upgrade youth facilities from the level "ADEQUATE"

2) However, when the season ended, and both upgrades still were going on, the board once again announced to upgrade both training and youth facilities. But now both upgrades are finished at 9th december 2017. How come that the process of the youth facility upgrade becomes shorter, because technically I can now expect my youth facilities being upgraded from "ADEQUATE" to "AVERAGE" and "AVERAGE" to "GOOD" at the same time, right?

If I understand you correctly it has not been upgraded twice. You will have gotten one message informing you that upgrade is being planned and one that construction has begun.

The construction always starts at the end of the season - it will not start during the season. What started before was "planning". So you will only have payed for the upgrade after the season. The dates often change when construction begins, but I don't know why it would say 2018 though.

But when the board informed me at the beginning of the season, they told me that it would cost XX millions for the upgrades as far as I remember - but now, after the season and when the construction has begun, the amount had been increased significantly.

However, I will notice the difference between the two messages next time:-)

Since your questions have been answered I hope you don't mind me using this thread to get some of my own answers about facilities, youth facilities, recruitment and junior coaching.

Firstly, I am managing Tottenham currently and here is the state of my facilities currently...

1) How do I/Is it possible to improve corporate facilities, will they ever improve or stay at 'good' throughout my save no matter how much money i make.

2a) despite me only having 'good junior coaching' i cannot ask the board to spend more on junior coaching only to 'cut back' what affects how good your junior coaching can be? would it be club reputation?

b) the same applies for Youth recruitment, i have 'established youth recruitment' yet looking at Arsenals info it says 'well established youth recruitment' yet i cannot improve my own recruitment level.

3) with regards to Tottenhams location in London and it's proximity to Chelsea, Arsenal, West Ham and QPR will that affect the quality of intake i receive each year?

1) I think it's only improved when you build a new build a new stadium, which I guess would be soonish.

2)a&b) Financial situation mostly, I think. If you are filthy rich they will increase it when you ask. It also seem to go hand in hand with youth facilities. General rule though is that you can only ask to have it improved every 6 months or so. Same rules for youth requirement. Getting them to exceptional/extensive will require a bit of money and a few years.

3) It would probably be wise to improve youth requirement. It would increase your chance of getting high potential youths. Tottenham always get amazing youth intakes on my saves for some reason.

I have wondered of that at the beginning of the game too, but the board will some time give you the opportunity to ask for other than to 'cut back'. So just keep an eye on that one. Once the opportunity is able, they will most likely upgrade it right away. They did with me:-)
