Specific Attribute Training - more than one attribute focused upon?

Recommended Posts

I've heard that if training a goalkeeper specifically with handling training, the training will focus upon both aerial ability as well as handling. Indeed this seemed to be true when I tried it. Is this the case for other specific attribute training regimes?...my coaches are suggesting a couple of my defenders should focus on positioning and I'm wondering if this may also encompass a focus on anticipation or concentration for example.

If anyone has extensive knowledge or could lead me to some on this it'd be greatly appreciated. I want to improve my goalkeepers "one-on-one" capabilities at the moment but am not sure how.

Cheers guys.

I guess it makes sense maybe kinda possibly? I was going to mention Quickness as another example, but isn't conclusive as to whether that means anything considering it in fact does have a different name than the rest of them.

Would be really interesting to get something official on this :)

I'm aware other stats still improve but with handling for example I know that their is a dual focus upon both handling and aerial ability. I was wondering if this was the case with any other categories.

You're wrong. The only focus what has dual attributes is quickness which does acceleration and pace. If you individual focus any other attribute it does not do dual focus like claimed in your OP.

What Welsh Wizard said above is true.
