slandymore
Hi all, I would like to start a new game, using one of the two Welsh Conference teams (Newport and Wrexham) and, much like a sheep on the Snowdon, taking them to the dizzying heights of the Champions league. My concern, and one I am hoping someone here can reassure me is not the case... is that Wrexham and Newport will not actually be eligible for the champions league because of their Welsh status. Would somebody let me know if this is possible or whether, like Tom Jone's agent, i'm just wasting my time. Thanks a lot! S

magicmastermind124
The case has changed since then, as long as the clubs play in both the domestic leagues and cup of one nation they can qualify for Europe. I also believe they need to be full members of that countries FA, which I think the bigger clubs now are.
deknegt1990
Personally if you ask me it's ''too easy'' to get into the Champions League and into success as England based Welsh teams. You get all the big bucks of the Premier League when you reach it and all the advantages of having lots of cashola. Now try to take over Aber Town in the Welsh Premier League and then try to win the Champions League, now that's a challenge.
