I believe it's time time to about FM2014 and its future wonderful features we would like to get:

- Match engine fixes for poor long shots withoug goals, strange ball heading, sliding goalies, etc.

- Penalties and red cards by goalies

- Enhanced youth academy

- More feedback from players

- Revamping existing conferences. Or even maybe removing them at all!

- Easy selection of clear cut chances for uploading

- Upload packs of player goals from multiple matches.

- Spending manager's salary

- Facebook integration

As a bonus, you may also read and participate in my interesting discussion of possible FM 2014 features: Football Manager 2014

Something important (imho) is missing in the poll, that is long term career games and everything that comes with it.... from manager reputation to season expectations.

this

if this is improved massively could be the best since cm4

In my opinion it's the worst part of the game and on high resolution notebook screens user needs microscope and the patience of a saint.
Or to take advantage of the fact that SI made the appearance skinnable, and that the community made custom notebook skins.

(That said, they could introduce a notebook skin option into the default FM14, but otherwise the UI is great IMO. First CM/FM since skinning existed that I have kept to the default)

UI needs serious housekeeping, it's just terrifying and it must become scalable.

The UI layout is pretty poor. I've played the game now for what, 5 or 6 months, and I still find myself fairly often having moments where I can't figure out where to find screens I regularly use. It's a rather confusing mess of tabs and subtabs crammed in a small space and no logical nesting to make sense of it all. The sidebar functionality was way more suited to this game but according to the guys who make custom skins it's not possible to recreate it anymore in FM13. Which is a shame.

The FMC skin is one of the best UIs there has ever been, or at least the FMC skin that was altered to work with full fat FM. It has everything you need, and is clear, concise and easy to use. There are a few things in the main UI that I would change, but I don't really see all the hate for the new FM - there were some great strides.

Pretty sure there is already some form of Facebook integration

I think there is too, or is it just twitter? I don't understand why it is all the rage these days. I try to hide from my facebook friends that I spend all my time playing FM and other games, not boast about it. The thought of my facebook popping up with "Herbert Fandel has reached 700 hours on FM 13!" or something similar petrifies me

i would like to see more realistic player transfer movements.

at the moment, i feel its too easy to keep your players. as long as your playing them regularly and can pay their wages, they dont really care about whether they are winning competitions.

clubs also stock pile quality players and the players dont get a look in. Oscar for Chelsea has barely played in 3 years but is still happy to stay.

I'm gonna assume the "AI Squad Building" option was left off for the simple fact that it would skew the poll far, far too heavily in one direction? Easily the thing which needs the most attention, and has been for a good while.

Although, since the conversation steered that way, the UI was one of the main things which put me off purchasing FM13, moreso than the ME. Yes, even the ME at release.

Had to be the player and media interaction for me. Reason being i find the limited responses so boring and i don't play the game to be bored.

I think training can be improved too though. For example to be able to say you're coming in for an extra session first thing monday morning because your performance today was shocking. Maybe that's more the interaction aspect again though.

I voted for that under 'transfers'. I meant more AI squads than human transfer options, but maybe I read it wrong

Same here. Don't want a OxfordUnitedFC spent all saturday night home alone playing Football manager.

I voted transfers, but only because it's the option that could influence the major issue, imo, that needs to be improved: the AI capacity for building the squad.

I see so many users talking about the ME, and how has flaws, but for me the key point is improving AI teams. The game just gets too easy after 5 or 6 years when many key players start to retire and AI teams dont know how to replace them.

When the game start, if i play against Barcelona i'll be beat easily... after 4 or 5 years i can bet Barcelona without any problems.

Improving this, is the most important thing to do!
