Competition Colours Not Changing In Game

Sorry if this is not the right place to post this question.

I've tried changing the colour of the background and foreground colours of competitions but the changes do not appear in game.

For example I've tried changing the text colour of the EPL to navy but the text is red in game.

How to do I make the changes appear in game. Thanks

Change the nation home and away kits, but if you want to keep the original kits, change (or add) a text field in the kits screen and add your custom colours to this text field.

Thanks. But wouldn't that mean the text for England would change also. Is there any way to keep the same colour for the team and just change the colurs for the competition or do they both have to be the same. Thanks

Yes it would, but they'd keep the same kit if you leave that untouched and just change the text field. I've done it on my Level 11 file, I changed the text field to red background with white writing and blue outline and they still play in the same kit colours.

Not 100% sure this will work but add Shirt and text in the colours you want want the competition to be and set the shirt/text to said competition, if that doesn't work then try setting those to main and duplicating original shirt text etc and adding competitions that the national team plays in.
