borobadger
I usually find that when I save on a good winning run and shutdown, when I load back up I more often than not lose the next game. Is this purely in my head or is there something to it? Anyones thoughts on this would be great cheers

ima92
this has been adressed and discussed before.. some will say its ur head, other will say its encoded in the game, no official words on any of this though

Football Manager.
Anti-cheat mechanism to stop reloads! oh don't you just KNOW that's going to create a bit of buzz now.
forameuss
If you believe it, it's in your head. If you don't believe it, you're correct. It's selective memory and fantasy.
Herbert Fandel
Anti-cheat mechanism to stop reloads! Nonsense, its well proven that reloading works (even if only eventually), hence all the losers who do it. If saving the game made you lose, to prevent reloads, that makes no sense because then you would reload because you lost....

gunner86
I'm pretty sure it's just coincidence. I tend to play the game sporadically, fitting in 3 or 4 games around work and such. I'd never win anything if I lost games after each save. The game will throw in defeats to end particularly good runs though. My first 10 league games in Germany with Dortmund I was undefeated, and had only conceded 3 goals, culminating in a 1-0 win away at Schalke who were 3rd, then I go away to Nurnburg who were 16th... Bam, lose 7-
danny_123
to be honest i have been on a bad patch saved it came back next day loaded it up and went on a winning streak same for been winning then loosing, i found that i put more effort it when i was fresher and looked into the game more but once i get tired i end up loosing stupid games and just turn it off
Herbert Fandel
I once went on a bad run, and I didn't quit the game first. I think its pretty clear that playing the game without quitting triggers some kind of secret code to make you lose games.

TheBetterHalf
I have written this before and will do it again. For some users, it NOT in their heads but because at the end of a few hours playing FM, you get tired and tend to neglect things like the man management, rotating enough etc. Here, you often stop playing when you (whilst still winning - or drawing) you see a drop in performance and when loading up the save the next time, you pay the price for the things you had neglected the night before. borobadger
Well I loaded up the save, 9 games into the premier league season, im top with 9 wins out of 9, in class form, winning all champions league and league cup games... but when I load up the save I draw 2-2 with Swansea after being 2-0 up at ht, and then go on to lose 4-1 to 17th placed Brighton in the next game... So make of that what you will, could be just a big coincidence or maybe you do actually lose momentum
jujigatame
It's confirmation bias. No way SI would waste time programming something like that into the game.
