Davey Boy
i was wondering should i sell or keep this guy. I realise he is only 20 but his team work and off the ball movement are pretty bad. Could they improve with game time or as he gets older? what do you guys think? sell or keep? I have a 33 soon to be 34yr old Leighton Baines and a 27yr Davide Santon in that position and was thinking about selling Baines to reduce wages. im a little bit confused. Nowt
I'd wait a couple of years to see how he improves, at 20 years old he's still developing + he looks like he could be a lot better than Baines, but that's just my opinion.

soccer.joel
Keep him as back up for 2 seasons but if he doesn't improve that much, sell
Davey Boy
OK, im nearing pre-season and am wondering what i should do now. I have Leighton Baines, should i still keep him? coach said he is showing signs of deteriorating as a player but still looks class apart of naturally speed. then i have the regen above and Davide Santon. should i keep both? i can't get my hands on real quality at the moment or at least i can't find any. Cadijk van Kaarhandel
Three players for a position isn’t excessive. Baines at 33 would still be quality, I’d keep him til his contract runs down. Santon I don’t know much about. But if either of those gets injured you’ll need a third left-back for rotation purposes.
Gazza88
I always keep youths who have potential. Not played the game for a few months and my last save was a lower league journeyman save so training facilities not that good. Can you not train off the ball? If I was you I would keep him. Get Baines to tutor him (if he needs a personality Boost and/or determination boost and baines can give him that) also either train him for the tactical role you use or focus on attributes he is low in. Check his progress every 6 months or so and adjust training accordingly. Once he hits 22 decide if he has improved enough. Also give him game time in the cups or if you have nothing to play for in the league.
BiggusD
At 20 he isn't very impressive. In 2019 there should really be plenty of 17-year-olds better than him already. Baines is still better in nearly every way and with only three years left until his development slows down drastically, your newgen would have to take off like a rocket in order to catch up. As he is 20 already and have had 5 years of development behind him, I see this as a very unlikely scenario. Teenagers should really improve with at least half a star CA per year (at least +1 across the board, more for physical and key attributes) from the age of 15 to the age of 24. Seeing as his Tackling is still 15 and that is his strongest key attribute except Acceleration, he would have started at less than 10 as a 15-year-old. Why would you keep him or sign him then with almost nothing above 10? He must have been developing slowly, so it is unlikely that he will suddenly accelerate now. 99% sure he is a lost cause. As Liverpool you need to set the bar higher for a 20-year-old. He should already be a leading star in the PL at that age. Like Baines.
backpackant
If you were a mid-table team, I'd keep him, but most people at Liverpool in FM are massively dominant. Actually, most FMers at Bradford are massively dominant eventually, but hey. On topic, he'll be a decent backup, or League Cup player, but you'll need to replace Baines with someone better.
