To the best of my recollection the average peak user numbers for FM13 seem very similar to the only fair comparison which is FM12.

As a comparison to Herbert's post there are currently 7,863 playing FM12, talk of significant number of players moving back to a legitimate copy of FM12 has been vastly overstated.

Would have expected a drop off versus peak usage and vs last years usage of 12 around this time of year

As it was very similar to FM11 (tbh it was almost identical) I would actually expect the like for like comparisons to show lower numbers for FM12 against FM13.

Also better sales numbers for FM13 than 12, I would assume more people still playing.

I'm playing FM13, FM-C13, FM12, and sometimes when I'm stuck on my daughter's netbook, FM11. Oddly enough, I bought FIFA12 on Steam, and spent maybe an hour messing with it, and then gave up.

I play FM2013 on my laptop in offline mode a lot so I'm sure the actual numbers are higher than what Steam reports.

more challenging? i wouldnt exactly call more annoying as more challenging, seems just as easy or hard as its ever been.
