Do staff and players got "regen-son" like human manager in game?

Recommended Posts

in all honesty who cares?

The OP presumably, what a stupid comment. Of course its not important, but then what in FM actually, in all honesty, is?

OP I haven't seen it myself, but I guess that doesn't mean it doesn't.

I have something in the back of my mind saying someone on here a while ago found a brother for a in-game player, but I can't remember if they were just assuming based on the name or not.

Would it really be that unusual?! Quite a few managers/coaches have relatives in the game.Steve/Alex Bruce, Frank and Frank Lampard, SAF/Darren Ferguson, Gordon/Gavin (IIRC) Strachan, Brian/Nigel Clough. I am sure there may be more but can't think of any offhand! Sure it may be not be an everyday occurance but it is certainly not unusual.

I think it adds a bit to the realism of the game particularly when you get to a point where you may be twenty seasons in the game and many "real life" personnel have long since disappeared.

Peter.

Ian Moore/Ronnie Moore, Jordi Cruyff/Johan Cruyff, Thomas Ince/Paul Ince, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain/Mark Chamberlain, Jamie Redknapp/Harry Redknapp. And that is just a few more off the top of my head. I'd say there are far more IRL than happens in FM.

Go down the lower leagues and it's even more prevalent. Right now at Gillingham we have Joe Martin, son of Alvin, Josh Hare, son of coach Darren, Jake Hessenthaler, son of DoF Andy, Charlie Allen, son of Mad Dog Martin, and Sam Muggleton, son of GK coach Carl. We previously had Charlie Stimson, son of ex-boss Mark.

Yeah interesting one this. I noticed yesterday in my PSV game that one of my strikers who is regen has a favoured personnel of a person whom is retired but has the same surname, so I was assuming since the surname is not common that they were related to one another.

I had that happen. Problem was there was only 6 months age difference. So they were cousins or their dad was a naughty boy!!!

I had brothers in-game too. I think the age difference was about 1 year. They were at the same U19 club and had each other as favored personnel.

About sons, I think it might happen, but with regen staff only.
