How do I edit teams to correctly show 3rd kit when available & not to show when no kit exists

Hi all,

I'm running FM12 and some teams eg. Brazil National team have a 3rd kit available from the kits megapack download, but it only shows the Home and Away kits, and also some teams only have 2 kits available but it shows a 3rd kit from the default kits, which I'd like to remove.

Over at sortitoutsi, they have a editor database file for FM13 that supposed to sort it out but I'd like to do the same for FM12? How do I go about doing this? I've tried to load the file into the FM12 editor (downloaded from Steam) and it shows lots of errors in red, I'm guessing this is due to the different FM versions? How do I edit these, I can't seem to do anything with the editor? never used it before!

Please can anyone guide me in the right direction, I'd like to learn how to do this, and then I can help others and make changes for future versions?
