Help! Tutor crippling my wonderkid :(

Recommended Posts

So this is the problem:

FM12. I have signed an amazing young French regen ML/AML who joined the club shortly before his 17th birthday, already being a wonderkid.

My first choice in the position so far was Adam Johnson who also plays this position in the national XI.

The regen has the potential to become an absolute superstar, having 5 stars of potential when 3.5 stars is already leading EPL player.

He had a determinded personality, Johnson a resolute one. Started Johnson, resolute, to tutor the regen in order to get his professionalism up.

Within three months the regen's personality has already switched to resolute, which is good. But his outstanding determination of 19 is in free fall! Now down to 15 (Johnson's is 13, so I guess the tutoring relationship is the cause). All this just in three months. Never seen such a rapid decline ever :(

Is there anything I can do to stop this?

Hi, you have to tutor your regen with an player with more determination than him in order to he improves that skill.

If you tutor your regen with on player with less determination, it will get lower.

I'm playing FM12 too.

And co-incidentally I have Johnson in my team too. But he doesnt have the mental attributes to be a good tutor, imho.

As far as I know, you cant stop a person from tutoring. You just need to wait for the 6 month period to end or for them to fall out maybe?

As far as tutoring goes, do you keep tutoring a young player until he becomes 24?

No, I just tutor youngsters in order for them to get a personality which stands for high professionalism. Once they have that I keep my fingers off tutoring.
