DrIgz Posted May 11, 2013 Share Posted May 11, 2013 I find that after I make a league playable having not loaded it to begin with, only players who were in the database from the start have some kind of playing history. In other words, if a player has a low reputation and plays for a low rep club in an unplayable league, he probably won't be in the game, his club will be filled with mainly grey players. After you add the league a few seasons in, he will be added, but when you go to his playing history, he will have 0 games played. I was under the impression all added players will progress as if they had been in the game from the start. I also haven't found a single example of a club changing their manager and the particular club I was interested in taking over had 0 transfers in or out over the three years that I had the game running without the league it's in. So basically, it seems that very little is done to actually create the illusion that anything has happened during the time the league was unplayable. It makes the "Add League" feature a little pointless in my opinion. I can't load every league but I want the option of going all over the place and feeling like things happened while I was off in another country. What are other people's takes on the feature? Perhaps there is something I can do to help the development of clubs in previously unplayable leagues? Link to post Share on other sites More sharing options...
raymondafc Posted May 12, 2013 Share Posted May 12, 2013 You could load leagues as View Only to start with, that way they will still play the games, participate in the transfer market etc and it doesn't take too much away from the estimated game speed. I have a very mid-ranging laptop and yesterday out of interest I loaded England as playable (all divs) and then the top division of every country in the game as view only and still had 3 stars for game speed. I know people say that you can't pay much attention to the stars but I still think they can be a rough guide. That way you can add the leagues you wish to move to as you go and they will be up to date. Its just a massive shame that you can't toggle leagues between playable and view only. If I have a league as inactive but add all the players into it, won't the fact that they have no regular youth intake mean that after the current players retire that league will have far fewer players?
