SaveMeJeebus
I can't seem to find another topic so maybe it's just me. I started a career with Manchester City and I am in my second season. I bid in for Hummels (30m+), Neymar (32m+), and Dede (24m+) all of which Chelsea managed to steal from me. I tried upping to high pay contract, and even bid in right at the start of the second season, but no luck. And somehow they also managed to place a 59m bid for Dezko. WayneRooneysHaircut
This is a regular occurrence on the game, where if you bid for a worldclass player, a big team will swoop in. If you do not bid, the player will stay with his original club. (ie those teams will not make bids) The only way around it I have found is to bid for the player at the very end of a transfer window. (Only a day or two left) I assume this works because those teams have either already spent their money or have made sufficient additions. This generally only happens for the top tier players, so I suppose it will be argued that your interest in said player makes the other big clubs interested. Though, I think the execution should be better. By that I mean, Cavani should be getting interest with or without your involvement, but in the game he will likely only get interest once you make a bid. Jugster
This is the annoying feature of the transfer market, deliberately designed to stop you improving the squad too quickly. You can bid for a player and immediately other clubs will make a bigger offer that is instantly accepted. You then have to wait a while for your offer to be rejected. Usually you can then match the other club's offer and offer a contract, but invariably, the player then signs for the other team. The other way this happens is that if another club bids say £10m on a player, and you bid the same, the other club immediately increases their offer to £13m or so. Again, you then have to wait for your offer to be rejected, which it always in this circumstance. This was introduced in the 2012 version, it didn't happen before then. Ceirdiff
No, way back in 2010 I remember bidding on players and bigger teams instantly buying them for a much higher price.
WayneRooneysHaircut
I agree with the above. As long I can remember certain players (almost seemed hard-coded in some way) will always attract interest when a bid is made. You either have to wait until the end of the window, or sign them when the window closes, for the January window.
Vane
This used to happen in the PC game a lot in years past as well, until it was calmed down a bit. But it still happens. There would be no interest in a player until you bid, then half the division would put in a offer. Probably down to the CM3 engine.
