SirToby
Sir Alex Ferguson career as Manchester United manager is nearly over - and I want to repeat his succes. All I have to do is to win the following: 13 Premier League 2 Champions League 5 FA Cup 4 League Cup Quite a challenge, especially when I have to do it with Aston Villa. I wanted a team which hadn't won the league for a while. United hadn't won it for 20 years when Fergie arrived and Villa hasn't won it since 1981. Fergie has always been fond of younger players and I want to copy that. Therefore Villa is a great club because of the young potentiel within the squad. 16 of my first team players are 23 years old or younger. In addition, the club has a few prospects in the reserve squad as well as in the U18 squad. Graham Burke, Jack Grealish, Jordan Graham, Joshua Webb, Callum Robinson are all players that I have hopes of developing. Let a (hopefully) long and glorious career with Aston Villa begin! SirToby
AUGUST 2012 There has been no transfer activity for me in my first transfer window for Villa. I didn’t get any money and no one has been joining the club, nor has anyone left. Only five younger players from my reserve squad have gone out on loan. We had a fine pre season with seven victories and our start in the league has also brought delight. We wasn’t necessarily the best team against West Ham but two goals from set pieces gave us the victory. Baker and Benteke scored the goals and they were the goal scorers again when we defeated Stoke comfortably a week later. Derby is our opponent in the next round of the Capital One Cup after a 2-0 win over Notts County. Awards for august Christian Benteke wins Young Player of the Month, Nathan Baker came third. I came second in the Manager of the Month award.

SirToby
SEPTEMBER 2012 We have continued our fine start to the season. To only lose 2-1 at the Emirates Stadium was great and our 2-1 victory against Manchester United was definitely the highlight of the month. Darren Bent and Ron Vlaar were the goal scorers against Fergie's troops. We are also through to the next round in the League Cup after 120 minutes of football against Championship side Derby. Bent led the team with two goals.

SirToby
OCTOBER 2012 Aston Villa is doing impressively in the Premier League. Ciaran Clark and Darren Bent were the goal scorers when Chelsea was beaten. The latter had a great month with a brace against Swansea too. Liverpool was too strong for us in the League Cup and we deserved to be beaten. Awards for October I won the Manager of the Month award.

SirToby
NOVEMBER 2012 The Villans are no longer in top five in the league after three defeats away from home in November. We are beginning to concede goals and maybe a bad injury to Ron Vlaar (who has been great in the start) have something to do with that. After an amazing start to the season are we back on the earth again after a less good November month. Awards for November Nathan Baker won the Young Player of the Month award. SirToby
DECEMBER 2012 We hadn’t won for eight games so our victory against West Ham in the last game of the year was a big relieve. On the other hand, we are now unbeaten for five games. With three goals Andi Weimann had a great month while Nathan Baker for the second time in a row was a awarded the Young Player of the Month award. Fabian Delph and Marc Albrighton didn't get enough play time why I now have sold them both to Blackburn for a total fee of £6.7500.000. The other way has come Pol Ballesté and Nicola Giannoia, two talented players I am looking forward to work on. Awards for December Nathan Baker won the Young Player of the Month award. SirToby
What do you think has caused that massive dip in form ? It was a setback to get Vlaar injured for 3-4 months. But it's just what happens. You have good periods and bad periods. I havn't expected our fantastic form at the start of the season to continue with the material I am having. A place in top 10 would be satisfying. SirToby
JANUARY 2013 A fine start to the new year. Though we lost 4-1 to QPR, it was an even game and the home side was just far more effective. Our wins against Liverpool and Arsenal were fantastic and comfortable. Benteke scored four goals over these to games. Manchester City is our next opponents in the FA Cup. SirToby
FEBRUARY 2013 Acceptable month. We were very close to get a point at the Bridge with Hazard scoring the winning goal in the 89th minute. We did well against City in the cup while it was satisfying to get three points against Everton who is a tough opponent. Nathan Baker was the match winner against the Toffees and he is having an excellent season. Awards for February Nathan Baker won the Player of the Month award. SirToby
MARTS 2013 Not the best of months. We should have done better against Swansea and Reading. City won the FA Cup replay as expected after Agbonlahor had given us the lead. The quick striker scored again when we defeated Southampton. Weimann was also on the score sheet. We have had this year's youth income and I thought two players were worth mentioning. Chris Waistle and Daniel Smith are the ones that I hope to develope into great Aston Villa players in the future. SirToby
APRIL & MAY 2013 A weak and very disappointing end to the season meant we didn't end in top 10. A win against Liverpool in the last round would have given us the 8th place. In stead of that, we ended as number 11 and for the first time in the season we were out of the top ten. Three goals and four points in the last seven games were unacceptable. We just couldn't keep the form from the start of season but I can accept ending 20 points from relegation. None of the player really stood out. Ron Vlaar and Nathan Baker were by far the best performers while Bent was top scorer with 12 goals. Agbonlahor and Benteke did okay with a total of 18 goals and 15 assists together.
SirToby
AUGUST 2013 I have begun my second season at Aston Villa and I have been very active in the transfer window this time. I have used £13.250.000 on the following faces: Julian Brandt Ian Hughes Peter de Weijze Leandro Paredes Agustín Allione Marco Benassi Alfred N’Diaye Harry Turner Except for N’Diaye, all of them are 19 years old or younger. I have hopefully found some players who will be playing for my club for many years to come. In addition, Jean II Makoun is back from loan and will be in the first team squad this season. I have sold for £5.750.000, Delfouneso and Ireland were amongst the departures. We had a disappointing start to the season with a defeat against Boro but a Vlaar goal saw us getting three points against Fulham. A very young line-up defeated MK Dons in the League Cup, Agbonlahor scored a hattrick.
SirToby
SEPTEMBER 2013 Our defeat to Boro in the cup was of course a disappointment but else I couldn't expect much more from this month. One point at White Hart Lane was above expectation while City and Everton are difficult opponents. Bent and Allione were our goal scorers against Spurs, the later was the second best young player in the league in September and seems a good signing. Awards for September Agustín Allione came second in the Young Player of the Month award
SirToby
OCTOBER 2013 Fine month, six points out of nine were acceptable. Leandro Paredes scored two goals against Brighton which gave him a mention in the awards for September. Awards for October Ciaran Clark came third in the Player of the Month award Leandro Paredes came second in the Young Player of the Month award
SirToby
NOVEMBER 2013 A Leandro Paredes goal in the third minute of stoppage time against Liverpool meant that we went through November unbeaten. On the other side, we didn’t win a game which was okay with the matches we had. I have bought a 17 year old very talented Brazilian midfielder. Neto is arriving at the start of 2015. SirToby
DECEMBER 2013 Two great disappointments this month: To concede five goals at home and our defeat against Reading who only had one shot at goal. We definitely should have won against Reading. Agbonlahor was fantastic this month with five goals.
SirToby
JANUARY 2014 It’s 2014 and I have been active in this transfer window. I have spent £8.800.000 on Braian Lemos and Frédéric N’Keoua. Lemos is already a great player, while the latter hopefully will develop into a star. Many of my younger players got the chance in January. Ballesté, Webb, Smith, Turner, Giannoia and Lemos (all 18 years old or younger) got the chance in our 0-0 draw against Huddersfield. 17 year old Daniel Smith even got his first goal in the replay which we won in penalty shoot-out. Agbonlahor and Allione were our goal scorers this month with three each. Awards for January Leandro Paredes came second in the Young Player of the Month award
SirToby
FEBRUARY 2014 We hit rock bottom when Leicester smashed us out of the FA Cup with a 5-2 victory. It was humiliating to concede five goals against a Championship side. It was also massively disappointing to lose to Brighton while our 2-0 win over Spurs brought delight. Benteke scored twice.
SirToby
MARTS 2014 We have had a bit disappointing youth intake. Maybe Luke Varney and Kevin Gibson have a slight chance of making it but my expectations aren’t high. We haven't been great this season and Marts confirmed that. I could expect at least to wins from this month but I didn't get any. A very disappointing month.
SirToby
APRIL 2014 Four points in four games against four of the biggest teams was definitely satisying, though it was a bit disappointing to get a hammering by Arsenal who now have scored 11 goals against this season. We finished the month great with a 4-1 victory, Agbonlahor (2), Allione and Baker the goal scorers. With a fine finish we have a slight chance of ending in top 10. Awards for April Braian Lemos won the Young Player of the Month award Leandro Paredes came second in the Young Player of the Month award

SirToby
MAY 2014 What a great finish to a bit disappointing season. Four wins in a row, by far our best sequence this season. Allione and Benteke stood out in May with a brace each. West Bromwich had an awful finish why we comfortably ended in top 10 - an improvement to last season's 11th place, though we got fewer points this year. Ciaran Clark had a good season in our defence with the best average rating in our team. My two Argentinean signings Allione and Paredes had great seasons as well with 15 goals and 18 assists together. Agbonlahor impressed me a lot by scoring 20 goals, while Benteke also had a fine season though nine goals aren’t that impressive. Awards for May I came third in the Manager of the Month award Benteke came third in the Player of the Month award Leandro Paredes came second in the Young Player of the Month award
SirToby
Do you think, you need to change your formation ? I went for a 4-2-3-1 with to anchor men in my last matches and it worked pretty well. I hope it will continue next season.

SirToby
AUGUST 2014 My third season as Villa manager has begun and I have strenghtened the squad with following four players: Abdel Barrada Kim Källström Ben Davies Lucas Ocampos Barrada and Källström were signed on free transfers while Davies and Ocampos were bought for a total amount of £22.000.000. I have high hopes for Ocampos who have great potentiel. We haven't had the best of starts in the league. One point in three games against teams I expect us to beat is very disappointing. 16 year old Frédéric N'Keoua had a fantastic game with one goal and two assists when we defeated Fleetwood in the cup. Awards for August Agustín Allione won the Young Player of the Month award Braian Lemos came third in the Young Player of the Month award
SirToby
SEPTEMBER 2014 One point at White Hart Lane and a fine performance against City is acceptable but with our awful start to the season it's difficult not to get worried after only one point in September. Clark and Makoun were our goal scorers this month. SirToby
OCTOBER & NOVEMBER 2014 After eight league games without a victory we finally won when Southampton were guests at Villa Park. Lowton and Allione were behind a 2-1 win. We were unlucky to lose against Chelsea, Arsenal and United and I even thought we should have won at Old Trafford with the chances we had. Luckily, we found sharpness against Liverpool where Benteke scored twice. Benteke scored another brace in our 2-0 victory against West Brom and he also got a mentioning in the Player of the Month Award for November. Braian Lemos won the Young Player of the Month for the third time in a row and he on his way to becoming a world class player. Awards for October Braian Lemos won the Young Player of the Month award Lucas Ocampos came third in the Young Player of the Month award Awards for November Christian Benteke came third in the Player of the Month award Braian Lemos won the Young Player of the Month award Agustín Allione came third in the Young Player of the Month award
SirToby
DECEMBER 2014 We have turned things around and with a unbeaten December month I have no longer the same worries about getting fired. We got 11 points in five games which is great though I thought we should have won against Norwich and Blackburn at home. Ocampos got his first goal for the club against Cardiff while Agbonlahor got himself a hattrick against Wigan. Awards for December Ron Vlaar came third in the Player of the Month award Braian Lemos won the Young Player of the Month award Lucas Ocampos came second in the Young Player of the Month award Agustín Allione came third in the Young Player of the Month award

SirToby
JANUARY 2015 Still doing absolutely fine. Only disappointment this month was only getting one point against Newcastle in a match we totally dominated. I played a very young team against Coventry but we won comfortably anyway. 18 year old Julian Brandt, 16 year old Harry Turner and 16 year old Frédéric N'Keoua scored a goal each. My young South Americans are still taking the plaudits in the monthly awards. Lemos won the Young Player of the Month Award for a fifth time in a row. Abdel Barrada didn't play as I have hoped why I have sold him to Newcastle for £4.7000.000. Milan has bought Ron Vlaar for £7.500.000 while Brad Guzan has been sold for £2.400.000 to Sevilla. Guzan's replacement is Asmir Begovic who I paid £5.500.000 for. He will rotate with Ballesté in goal. Awards for January Braian Lemos came third in the Player of the Month award and won the Young Player of the Month award Lucas Ocampos came second in the Young Player of the Month award Agustín Allione came third in the Young Player of the Month award

SirToby
FEBRUARY 2015 Apart from our surprise defeat to Swansea this was another great month. Lucas Ocampos was the man to kill off Liverpool in the FA Cup in a replay at Anfield while Christian Benteke was absolutely unstoppable against Southampton. From the 3rd minute to the 22nd he scored amazing four goals. Ocampos completed the smashing 5-0 victory. And it is no longer a surprise that Lemos won the Young Player of the Month award once again. SirToby
MARTS & APRIL 2015 Our youth intake this year was a bit better than last year without being anything special. Connor Bradbury and Stuart Covier are the two that I have hopes for. Two hard months with difficult opponents. We seem to have problems against Arsenal while we are doing okay against the others who we only lose to by one goal. It was a big disappointment to get knocked out of the FA Cup by the Championship side Reading after our victories against Liverpool and Tottenham. Maybe I took a win against Reading for granted. SirToby
MAY 2015 We got a fine finish to my third season for Villa. Darren Bent finished with a hattrick against Wigan and we ended comfortably as number 10. A 10th place would have been disappointing at the start of the season but with our catastrophic start in mind I have to be satisfied with 55 points and the fact that I'm still manager for Aston Villa. Braian Lemos played all of our league games and did absolutely fantastic why he has to be Player of the Year. He also won the Young Player of the Month award an amazing seven times out of 10. Benteke did great with 18 goals and nine assists while his partner in attack Ocampos also did well after a dull start.
