Don_Biglia
Fellow FM players, A while ago I made this fantasy database. What's special in this database? In all European countries you are only allowed to play with domestic players. So in Belgium you can only use players with Belgian nationality (first or second). In the UK you can use players from the entire UK, so Bale can still play for Tottenham eg. This has been done in every European league. Every existing European League is now playable. For those rules I had to recreate all leagues, so it's possible that some things are different from their real aproach. But I did my best to include all existing rules. Although, an error is never impossible... if you come across one: please report it to me! What did I change? - All highest competitions have similar reputation levels - European Union deleted - Changed club reputions so clubs have similar reputation - About 17,000 foreign players are released...you can go mental on the transfer market. - Some players from South America are contracted to a team there, to avoid them coming to Europe using a second nationality. This, of course, does not cover everyone. - Game rules: * no foreign players allowed in squad selections, game selections,... * 9 subs allowed on the bench, 5 can be used. - Revamped European Leagues: * UEFA Champions League: only champions will play in this cup = 1 team per country. Group stage, then knockout phase * UEFA Cup Winners Cup : only (main) cup winners will play in this cup = 1 team per country. One knockout phase. Group stage, then knockout stage * UEFA Europa League : Numbers 2 and 3 in league will qualify for this = 2 teams per country. One knockout phase. Group stage, then knockout stage * UEFA Intertoto Cup : Numbers 4 and 5 in league will qualify for this = 6 teams per country. One knockout phase. Group stage, then knockout stage * Ridiculous all seater rule unticked in all cups. - Prize money is in every cup the same - TV Money for every club trough Europe is also the same. So as far as the editor will let me, this is as close things will ever get to Financial Fair Play. In the rar file there are 56 files. 54 of them you should use. There are three released_players file. I'd recommend you use the one with "Placed" on the end. You extract the rar file in your 'editor data' folder. This works with the standard DB, not the 13.3 update! You will most likely get conflicts on amount of teams in various domestic cups. When you start a new game you select all the countries + European league file + released players file. 54 in total. Don_Biglia
Using 13.0 database? If not, you should. I'm playing this db in two games, first one in 2033, second in 2016. Both without any problems.

IMT
Downloaded this last night, as am bored with my main save. Took over Spurs, and it's quite interesting, will be interested to see how Arsenal and Chelsea especially get on as their squads seem the most depleted. I am surprised how easily teams are letting their players go, although transfer fees are quite high. One thing I have noticed though, as I was scouring the squads of various teams I happened to notice that Messi was not at Barcelona, my understanding of this DB was players wouldn't be released at the start of the game if they had 1st or 2nd nationality of that country? Messi has Spain as his 2nd nationality? Or is it only if that player is uncapped then dual nationality comes into place? Anyway I look forward to playing this, will report back at the end of my 1st season.
Don_Biglia
Players were released on their first nationality. So Messi, Higuain,... were viewed as argentinians But because a lot of them have a second, european, nationality it's possible that they come back to Europe: spain, france, italy and portugal will always have some argentinian, nord african or brazilian players. Good luck with the Spurs
Booooooom
I really really really wanna give this a try No time now as I'm busy with my own project which is very time consuming but this is something I wanna see happening in real life too. Almost everything you mentioned. Sure, nothing drastic as 'no foreigners' but maybe 3 or 5 foreigners rules like it was in the near past
