Joshvardy
After past success on previous versions, 2013 has left me scratching my head. Tried loads of tactics with no success. Came across information saying that I needed to adopt tactics according to your opponent, this improved for a few games but there was no constensy and after a while thought I was at square one again. Then came across a different view saying its best to develop a tactic according to the team comparison tab, I am managing Crewe their strengths are pace in both attack and defence with the midfield having great technique and creativity but their weakness where teamwork, stamina and tackling. So created a rigid (lazy unfit players) 4-1-2-2-1 tactic with a high defensive line (good pacey defenders) a DLP(d) to create a defensive triangle, a BWM(s) and a AP(s). Two inside forwards (fullbacks overlap) and a deep lying foward (pacey striker). Thinking I was playing to the teams strengths this to lead to inconsistent results. Then I flipped it around and went for a counter strategy again rigid to minimise the weaknesses but counter to maximise the pacey forwards, this lead to a few wins then started drawing from last min equalisers from the opposition, then the inevitable happened I started getting mauled every game. So back to square one. Would love to get some feedback on whether its better to adopt the tactic according to opponent and if I'm missing something obvious in the tactics or gone the wrong way completely? Also shouts and OI, important? Can't get head around them. Thanks
