Is this true? Can I use an updated database from FM 2013 in FM 2012

I'mn trying to find an updated database for FM 2012. Nothing around, fair enough. But i just read that it might be possible to use a database file from FM 2013 to use to play it in FM 2012?

it could be, but you should probably open the file in 2012 editor to check compatibility issues. But don't get too happy.

you have to edit it a lot I think because of huge amounts of errors I'm not sure though

yes you can. i did that for fm 2011. just load file in editor 2012, fix validation issues and save it again

I'm using the winter transfers update. I have not spotted any errors or wrong stats.

I did see though that many reported wrong stats and stuff, but it seemed like they all had FM12.2, which I also had so I reinstalled my game without patches. Success.

I'm using LFCMarshall's september update and LFCMarshall's february update together. No need to edit anything.

in some updates we have new teams in some leagues because they promoted or relegated and sometimes this make problem in validation. some leagues have one team -/+ so you only have to fix this and thats it. im using lfc update fm13 for fm11 and no problem
