Linkoping Posted May 29, 2013 Share Posted May 29, 2013 I am playing in the Blue Square Premier right now and since I started my game in the BSS I have noticed an EXTREME disproportionate amount of penalties being called for AI compared against penalties in my favor. The amount of the times the AI defenders seems to slide tackle or make a last ditch slide tackle save in their box without a penalty called for our team seems ridiculous. The ref seems always wave on play. Same thing my box? Definite penalty for the AI. It almost seems like I have a team filled with Gareth Bale's without the yellow cards being dished out by the ref. Anyone else notice this? :confused: Does club stature or anything have any effect on likelyhood of penalties being called for you? Link to post Share on other sites More sharing options...

casdelo Posted May 29, 2013 Share Posted May 29, 2013 Also your defenders aggression, technique, decisions, and personalities may be factoring into this. You can try changing your tackling aggression, or using the stay on feet shout. Are the penalty calls good calls or are they referee mistakes. But well so far in season 2019/20 with Montpellier I have got 3 penalties and did score all 3 of those. I remember conceding at least one and saving at least 2 against me. Might be a couple more in either category but I'm not seeing any extreme numbers thats for sure. As people suggest above I'm guessing either you have too aggressive defenders with too high tackling settings or your complete defence just dont work as it should be it due to lack of speed or being overrun so they just do risky tackles to try to cover mistakes. PS for all I dismissed the majority of your post, this is an interesting question I don't know the answer to. Would be interesting to know if it had an effect, not exactly unrealistic if a huge stature team playing at home was less likely to concede pens. I don't know the answer though. I seem to get penalties quite often, probably because I let my striker run onto long passes and often the only chance for the defender is to hack down my player. Usually when there are a lot of players in the box the defenders will not see the need to intervene at any cost thus less penalties (just a theory). Furthermore I have my tackling on easy. Hilarious There are a number of reasons why one might find FM13 worth giving up, although probably in isolation none of them are actually good enough reasons without considering outside factors.
