In game changes and the time it takes?

Not sure if it's because I play with classic tactics but yet again I have had a game where the pending tactical or substitution changes didn't happen despite being made with about 8 minutes to go and I have had longer in the past with around 12 minutes going past (usually to the final whistle) with the changes not occurring. It happens when I make changes in the last 10 minutes, when I am either trying to hold onto a lead or am behind and need a goal and in these circumstances I change from extended highlights to full match.

On this occasion I made a formation change with 8 minutes left. Two minutes later with the changes still pending I get an injury which wasn't serious enough for him to go off straight away so I needed to get to the tactic screen to make the change. With "pending changes" in the corner of the screen and not being able to click out of the match screen the match rolled to an end without the changes occurring.

It's very annoying because obviously usually changes happen in a break of play but in full match even at a goal kick or a corner nothing happens. Is this a consequence of playing classic tactics thus requiring to get to the tactic screen or does this also happen with shouts? There is a drop down menu even with classic tactics where you can change your tactic in the match screen but even this way greyed out.

It is possible that the ball's simply not going out of play for a while.

I have the same problem. CHanging pending for about 5-8 minutes. And there were 2 corners, 3 times the ball out of play, etc...

but it seems that these changing bring so much trouble for the ME that during this "chaning peding" one of your players get a red cross injury and now you get instantly to the team menu and no changing were made. half season past me, I had this problem 4-5 times. Very stupid from the game
