The Cost of Regens

How much does everyone pay for good regens from other teams? I try to catch them early at the youth intake dates, but my offers usually get rejected and I don't know how high a price I should be expecting to pay?

between £30k and £1,5m

no point to make big outlays on youth players, there's always enough good once you can sign for small fees

I don't go for more than £1m unless my Youth Director brings them in for slightly more. Managed to pick up a couple of good Austrians with potential for under £10k a go though, just a case of looking in the right places at the right time.

I usually only sign regens my scouts say are 4.5 or 5 star potential. Usually pay between 3m and 20m. Alot I get between the 3-10 but some of the more expensive ones usually run between 14-18m. This is at the age of 15,16,17. 17 usually being the higher ones.

Might depend on the team you are though. I am Tottenham with worldwide rating, rich and competing at the highest level. My scouts are all 20/20.

Depends on who Im looking at, signed a 17 year old with 5 star potential, but already had decent stats to work with, so £5m for him. I try and keep them around £750k or less.

My most successful regens have been less than £1M, either from my academy or purchasing.

Just splashed £58M (after incentives that have not been reached yet) on a 23 year old striker that looks like the best in the game.

I'll pay whatever i need to for a top class kid with high potential.

I just paid £12m for one in my current network save, and i've paid £25m in the past on other saves. When you get a few seasons in there's no point in buying real players, and generally your squad is good enough that you don't need to keep the cash for senior players, so buying an expensive kid doesn't harm you in the short term.

This guy cost me 17.5 million. It seemed steep, but he looked amazing and had a hand full of goals in the french league.

He definitely fulfilled his potential. In his 8 and a half seasons at the club he's played 258 league games (around 1/3rd from the bench as I use two full first teams and rotate) with 163 league goals. He's worth 37.5 mil, has 84 international caps and 88 international goals, and has won all of the individual player of the year awards for the last couple of seasons.

The vast majority of my players are bought for £10-20m, at around the age of 17/18.

On my current save due to the basque policy of bilbao ill pay 5-6 million just to make sure im getting the best you basque players atmy club but normally i would only pay 1-3 million unless his stats are incredible which in that case i would pay a lot for him.

If you sign them straight after the youth intake you pay less than 2 mil compensation
