How does player growth work?

Recommended Posts

I know how CA and PA work.

I want to know how CA and PA play into player stats as they progress through seasons.

IE

I edited one of my favorite players from my hometown/favorite team (Philadelphia), Jack McInerney to have a -10 Potential and edited his stats to reflect his progression since last update (Finishing, Heading, Positioning, Speed, Strength, etc all up).

When editing these stats are these his stats at the start of the game, or are these the stats he will progress to and can max out at?

Thanks.

Like I said, I did it for one player because he's my favorite player. I know that lol.

But I guess I should've asked this question:

Can he got past these stats that I set (IE 14 Finishing is what I set him to, will he start there, or finish there?) or is that a set max that he can reach in the game?

The attributes you set in the editor is where he will start the game. You might see some fluctuation of the attributes, +/- 1 or 2, as the game appropriately balances his attributes with his CA level. He will grow from there with the right combination of training, coaching, and first team experience.

Great answer, thank you for the help.
