Support and Attack

Recommended Posts

Depends on what position

But generally on attack players primary focus is to attack and will push forward more and be more focussed on attacking

Support players support both defence and attack but don't drop back as much as defence and not as focussed on attacking as attack

I agree, duty relates to primarily to movement off the ball (ie Run From Deep)

A Defend duty player will hold his position to protect defense (CM-D or FB-D)

A Support player will help out in transition phases and the run of play. (CM-S or FB-S)

An Attack duty player will get forward and be ahead of play. (CM-A or FB-A)

I'd advice going to player's instructions in the tactic panel, then go "advanced" and switch duty for a fullback and a central midfielder. You'll see creative freedom is affected, passing lenght, instructions and so.
