Theredkop
I was wondering how well taking and retraining an attacking midfield with the role advanced playmaker to be a defensive midfielder with the deep lying playmaker role would work. The attacking midfield is not the modern day, skillful number 10 but more of the Steven Gerrard of old.Has anyone tried this and if so how well did it work
Sarmatian
If he has the attributes, go for it, no reason not to.
RTHerringbone
The speed of him learning the new position will depend on how often you actually play him in the new position, plus his hidden versatility attribute. You'll want to keep an eye on his training workload, as it all adds up and may give him a particularly heavy workload. Position training eats into Ability, so you need to be sure that it is what you want to do, and as Sarmatian says, make sure that his attributes suit the new position and Role.
