He's good enough to play in my simpler fixtures, so this should be a big season for him. However, his contract is up this year and he's refusing to sign an extension due to the amount of other players in his position (MC). Annoyingly, I think this unhappiness was triggered when I signed a DC who is also accomplished at MC, but who I only intend to play in defence. I've sold one of my backup MCs, but he's still unhappy and won't sign. Is this likely to change if I make sure he gets a decent run of starts in the first-team?
